Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Looking at 62 reviews, most reviewers were somewhat happy with their experience overall. Many customers found the service to be very helpful and a necessary part of buying a car, providing valuable insights into a vehicle's history, faults, and potential issues. They appreciated that the service could save them from scams and headaches, offering a good understanding of what they were considering purchasing, often at a reasonable price compared to competitors. Some also highlighted the ease of use and the detailed information provided, with the free check often being considered excellent. However, a significant number of people expressed dissatisfaction with the pricing, feeling that the checks were too expensive for the information received, especially when similar details could be obtained for less or even for free elsewhere. Many reviewers felt misled by the product offerings, as they often had to pay extra for service history reports, even after purchasing what they believed to be a 'full' or 'comprehensive' report. There were also complaints about inaccurate or missing information in the reports, including incorrect vehicle images, false red flags, or a lack of data for which customers were still charged. Payment issues, such as being charged multiple times or experiencing difficulties with card details, were also reported.

The concept is good

The concept is good, but unfortunately it has its flaws and can cost the seller of a car a lot of money.
I have a Jeep Cherokee and though it’s MOT history the mileage goes up the same within reason every year. However I year it adds 80,000 miles to the mileage which at the time I didn’t notice and you only get 24 hours to let the MOT station know there is an issue. But there are no alarm bell at vehicle score that would say would someone spend £25k in on year putting fuel in this car to drive it an extra 80,000 miles , when in fact some how the reading had been switched to kilometres and working out the mileage amount would put it spot on to the average. None of which is vehicle scores fault but it might just stop you buying a really good well maintained car.

Hey!

Thanks for the feedback.

Like you say, data from the DVLA is out of our control. We're simply here to display the data in a way which is easier to understand. So we're sorry you feel we're on as good as a 2/5. If there are any more improvements we can make, then please do let us know. All feedback is super valuable to us!

Hey,

Thanks for your feedback.

All our data is provided by the DVLA, and will match the data on the GOV website. Unfortunately, we can not change this data as it is controlled by the DVLA. If there are any missing bits of data, I would suggest reaching out to the DVLA.

Reports are not clear and too concise…

Reports are not clear and too concise with no detail. As such compared to the competition relatively useless. Am I missing something. Two reports 2 different cars. After the first they give you a 40% off voucher however their app does not give you time to enter the code and charges the full amount. I won't be using it again.

Hey,

For the 40% off, you need to enter the code in the 'Promo code" bar. If you email us, I can help you with this :)

As for the details. If a vehicle has no hidden history, that is where you will not see much, as there is not, much to reveal. If a vehicle does have hidden history, then you will see details of the issues found. You can see this on the example report.

Please feel free to get in touch, and we can refund you for your reports.

Great website

Great website. Navigation could be a bit easier if the menu (with lifespan of vehicles, comparison, and search of history could be clustered in one place). But admittedly I have only been using it for a few days. Highly recommended

Thanks for the feedback. As for the newer models, we have only limited data as newer models will not have yet been scrapped for us to be able to gather data to give accurate readings. Hopefully the models you wanted will be on there in time.

Very informative information

Very informative information on the vehicle you are interested in buying. I found it fully comprehensive in all aspects. The only thing the report couldn't tell me was if the engine was due to blow up. 🤣🤣

Good Value

Very easy to use, good value for money, especially for me when looking at a number of vehicles. Buying a car is a big financial commitment and using Vehiclescore gives you all the information you need to make a buying decision.

Hi, DK51 HWX BMW Z3.
Your review said it was a Z4, only a little mistake, but could make you think - what else is wrong?
Kind regards
