Fake webistes, ZERO leads

We have wasted so much time and money because of them. So first of all, they cannot help to rank your website on Google. They will create fake websites that will lead to your main website (they will present this in a careful manner that you won't relise!), which will seem dodgy to any customer. So after paying them a lot of money, we have received absolutely ZERO leads, and they do not care about designing the website etc.

Please be extremely careful with this company because they are running a scheme that you will never be able to get out of the contract, and they will use made-up phone call transcripts against you when you have clearly emailed them that you wish to cancel their services.

They do not care about you after taking your money, and as I said, you cannot cancel with them because they will threaten with legal action, and they will waste your time and your employees' time, so be careful with them.

I am sorry to see you have felt the need to place this review.

Regarding Google, you are not allowed to give legal guarantees for rankings. With that being said many of our customers do rank on the first page of Google which I can see one of your domains are.

The "fake websites" you refer to are landing pages for your main website. We use generic domain names i.e. a service in an area to help potential customers find your business if they did not know your business name directly. We create you a website and do the SEO behind the site to get it to rank on the search engines and we have a main website link on the website so that potential customers can go through to that site should they wish to.

If you wish to cancel you just have to give the correct notice as stated in your contract and our T&Cs. Our lines are open from 8am - 6pm with agents available to handle your query regarding cancellation policies should you have been unsure.

I can see your account is with our debt department so I will leave it in their hands to discuss the outstanding balance.

If I could leave 0 stars I would. Do not do any business with this company in terms of online marketing or whatever else they do. Empty promises, lies, shoddy websites, and therefore, no results. Stay well clear.

Do not trust this company

Do not trust this company! All transactions other than invoicing are done verbally so that when their account manager lies and fail to do what he agrees to do you can't prove it. Once they have your business they make it as difficult as possible to cancel.

Along with our verbal contract we do also send an E-Contract which is a copy of our verbal contract.

As with most businesses we have a cancellation policy. This is read out to you and is included in the E-Contract which is sent over to you. Our cancellation policy can also be found in our T&Cs.

Having used them and still tied in until June - we honestly got absolutely zero ROI, save your money and buy a lottery ticket ….. better odds on a return.

Extremely misleading and dangerous!

Extremely misleading, unauthorised charges, and no results whatsoever!

Unitel Direct found me online and then bombarded me with nonstop phone calls in January 2025. I was promised they would boost traffic for my piano lessons business and told they would take £58.80 to purchase a domain name on my behalf.

I already had a website, but they claimed this would help visibility. Later I discovered there is no evidence that this domain helped my business at all. When searching for “piano lessons in North London,” nothing appears connected to me, my business, or my phone number. I was never shown proof of advertising, ownership, or results, and the domain does not appear to belong to me.

A few days after the initial charge, they took over £1,000 from my card without my clear permission. There was no explanation of what this charge was for. Domain names cost £7–£10, yet they charged over £1,000 with no work delivered.

For an entire year:
• No reports
• No communication
• No phone calls answered
• No students gained
• No benefit to my business

When I tried to contact them, nobody responded. I repeatedly emailed stating I was no longer interested and asked them to stop contacting me. Instead, they continued sending marketing emails.

Because they took this money without authorisation, my business account was pushed into overdraft, causing serious financial stress.

Now, in January 2026, they have sent another invoice for £1,100, claiming the contract automatically rolls over for another 12 months. They say cancellation only counts if done within a very specific “bracket,” and cancelling even one day outside it “doesn’t count.” This feels deliberately designed to trap customers.

There is:
• No transparency
• No proof of work
• No measurable results
• No customer support

I strongly advise anyone: do not engage with this company. If they call you and introduce themselves as Unitel Direct, hang up immediately.

Very dangerous business practices.

I have took the time to look over your account given the bold claims within your review. I will detail my findings below.

Firstly, the payments. You came onboard paying a setup fee of £58.80 and it was agreed that the remainder of the balance would be taken out at a later date. On the 22nd Jan you then took out a further domain name which the payment was agreed for.

Regarding the visibility of your websites. I have just checked both of your generic domain names and they are both ranking on the first pages of Bing, Yahoo & Google which is fantastic. Screenshots were also sent to you with your rankings and statistics on, so saying there was no proof of this is simply not true.

I can see you liaised multiple times with different members of different department and whenever you sent an email we responded to you or called you.

We have a cancellation policy as majority of business do when it comes to business to business contracts and this is outlined to you when you come onboard. As well as in our T&C's and your E-Contract that you signed.

I have arranged for a senior member of the team to give you a call so we can resolve your concerns so please look out for said call.

Avoid at all costs

This company contacted me with a promise of the best website generating lots of new leads, I paid over £700 and immediately I was contacted by someone else from the office with instructions of how to leave a review on here, he then proceeded to tell me , word for word what to write, I told him I’d leave my own review once I’ve seen what you can do for me, a few months later I was contacted again, they said I haven’t got any new jobs because I’m not listed on google, after paying them another £500 to rectify this they done nothing, now the jokers want another £750 saying I didn’t cancel in time and when asked where my work comes from I said Checkatrade, they then said those Checkatrade leads are from Unitel because it’s linked to my site(which it isn’t) they promise the world, deliver nothing and try to claim everything as their own, I have since created my own google listing and low and behold they’re trying to tell me that they created it, the lies they come up with are beyond belief, avoid at all costs

I also took the liberty of checking the exit link activity of your site, this is the report that shows how people left your website. Your mobile number (ending 656) and Facebook profile have had hits regularly.

I've arranged for one of our customer service agents to give you a call to go through the rankings and report mentioned here to help you understand the work we have put into your marketing and to highlight the achievements of it.

Ranking number 1 on Google for my chosen keyword and area seems like a successful campaign to us.

No Idea how SEO works

Please avoid using any of the website ranking services offered by this company or its partners. Their primary partners are Armada Internet and Unitel Direct, with Armada managing the service and Unitel providing the technology and SEO ranking data.

Unfortunately, the staff I worked with demonstrated a fundamental lack of understanding of SEO. Specifically, they failed to recognize that keyword search volume is essential for driving meaningful website traffic.

For six months, I received reports claiming page-one rankings for keywords that had zero search volume. I repeatedly explained that ranking for keywords with no searches has no value, but this was never understood or corrected.

I paid for 12 months upfront and spent six months receiving inaccurate and misleading data. I ultimately cancelled my contract and would never use their services again. I strongly advise others to stay away from this company.

As stated both your domains are ranking first page on Bing, Yahoo & position 1 on Google which we don't even guarantee.
The domains are chosen and agreed at the point of sale which is what we do the SEO on along with your keywords.
In relation to the keywords, these can be amended at point during the contract to fit your business needs. If you were unhappy with the keywords we could have changed these for you. At the end of the day you know your business best and if we were supplied with the keywords you believe to have worked best we again could have implemented this into the SEO. We do fully optimise you for your keywords however we do not guarantee that you will rank for all your keywords.

I must also inform you that your contract is not due for renewal until June of this year. If you wish to cancel we require 30 - 45 days written notice prior to your renewal date.

Got absolutely bombarded with phone…

Got absolutely bombarded with phone calls from unitel direct to sign up with them, promised to remove bad reviews that wasn’t justified on Google and promised new calls so I agreed a verbal contract.
They set up a new website that I never asked for nor did I need as I have a good website already, I questioned them about removing the bad reviews that they said they could do before I paid x amount of money to then be told that they can’t do that.
I’ve not had one new phone call for my business, a website that isn’t used nor will it get used and the bad reviews that was promised to be removed still there yet they want full payment .
I now have there debt collection agents they use bombarding my threatening me with a ccj and when you actually ring unitel there call centre is in India.
