Worth the wait

Great T-shirts ... if they are in stock and/or you're not in a rush.

[Update] I had a bad delivery experience with my last order but - albeit after quite a while - Tom and the company have made up for it - and I'll likely order again :-)

Very unresponsive!

I ordered 4 jumpers from them in November, and only 2 arrived. I had to send multiple emails to Deborah in order for the 2 missing sweaters to be dispatched. Subsequently, due to sizing issues, I had to exchange 2 of the sweaters for exchange. Only 1 arrived in replacement, and I am still waiting for the other one to arrive, and we are now in February. Deborah has not been responsive with her emails, and her countless promises to ensure the item is shipped have not been fulfilled. I hope my case is just an anomaly but the persistent difficulty to get things done is really frustrating.

Can't fault the clothing or the service.

I have two 30 yr t-shirts, a sweatshirt & two pairs of chinos. All items are still good as new despite lots of wear. I had a reason to contact the company with a question regarding a t-shirt; I received a courteous reply from Deborah herself & offer of a complimentary sweatshirt as a gesture of goodwill. I can't fault the clothing, nor the genuine customer service. This day & age it's rare to get this kind of personal response & a genuine desire to make the customer feel valued. Yes, the clothing isn't cheap, but which other company allows you to return any item for a free repair, regardless of the cause, for 30 yrs? That shows the quality of the manufacture & materials. Who knows if the company will still be here, but its a unique guarantee & it gets my vote.

Nothing good to say at all

I backed the half century jeans campaign on Indiegogo. The campaign met it's targets but the company never provided the products as they claimed they didn't meet their quality control standards. Given my later experience with their products I can't imagine they were that bad as their standards are very low. In order to prevent the bad press from this campaign Tom Cridland offered to provide several items from their website instead. Here's were that's a problem. Firstly they never have anything in stock, particularly in popular sizes. I ended up with a shirt, a jumper and a pair of chinos in colours I wouldn't normally want. The jumper shrank after the first wash (all instructions were followed). It's also worth noting that the style was their newer one and not as nice the older style of jumper they sold. They obviously realise that as the website still shows photos of the old style, for many colour variations. The shirt I actually liked, as it fit beautifully, but due to the way it's made a snag that would normally pop a button tore the shirt itself. I sent it back for their free mending service and the repair they carried out was awful. The chinos tore along the crotch as it was not double stitched as the website claims. I never bothered to send them back as it would cost me money to send them and I didn't think they'd be wearable on return. I'm of the opinion that the whole project is a PR campaign and the products aren't close to meeting the guarantee they're selling them under.

anybody there?

I cant say anything about the quality, as I returned the items (were too small). The items might have been from good quality and I might have ordered larger items in the future, but...
...the experience I made with the service was underwhelming. I returned the items (at my own cost) more than two month ago but never got any refund. I wrote several times via email, but no feedback.

Will I get my money back?

Addition: Thanks to Deborah I received my money back! And I might get a little item for free in the next days.... I am curios ;-) Thanks and everything is forgotten, I changed the evaluation to three stars instead of one

Further addition: Deborah sent me a very nice sweatshirt for free... this changes my evaluation in 4 stars... I know what you are thinking, but I never stated that nobody can buy my friendship ;-)

I purchased my first 30 year sweatshirt…

I purchased my first 30 year sweatshirt two years ago. It was the best purchase I've yet made. I have used it A LOT and it still looks fresh and new. I have no doubt it will really make it for the last 28 years. It's a stylish and environmental choice.

Great concept, but some serious issues

I have backed the 50 year jeans on Indiegogo and they were not able to deliver the product - absolutely no problem, not everything can be a success. So after getting to know the product will not be available, I simply wanted my money back. Instead they offered me other items from their online shop, but after some answering delays they decided to refund me. The concept of sustainable and long-lasting clothes is worth pursuing and honorable, but this doesn't mean you can ignore your customer service. I hope they will improve in this area and the personal call from Deborah was a good start in this direction.

I bought a black 30 year sweater about…

I bought a black 30 year sweater about one year ago and I'm still very satisfied with the condition of it. Usually, cotton sweaters shrink a lot when washed a few times and the cotton becomes fluffy. This one still feels like it is quite new, the cotton seems to be of very good quality (although it did shrink a little after the first wash I have to say, but this is probably unavoidable with 100& cotton materials).

Amazing Product.

At the first time I heard something about Tom Cridland' clothes I was interested in the slow fashion concept. So I decided to buy the famous 30Years warranty sweatshirt. Since I have sweatshirt I m so happy about this European ans responsable product.

Bought one, then bought three more!

Absolutely love my three sweaters. Started off with one, bought three more and gave one away. I've been in touch since about a minor seam coming undone and they responded instantly offering a fix. Excellent quality, excellent service. Need more companies thinking long term like this, and generally treading more lightly on the earth.

Nice chinos and particularly nice cords.
I ordered 2 pairs of cords - on one pair the zip was damaged on arrival and had to be returned. This was done without fuss and all costs were refunded.
