Did a click and collect order
Did a click and collect order, when I went to collect in Ballincollig I originally got the wrong laptop but when I went back I received the correct one. I also had bought a hard drive enclosure that was was listed to store up to 4tb of storage but when I got it it didn’t have any hard drive installed lucky I had a spare but it was only 250gb. Not major as I can always buy an extra but very annoying nevertheless.

Laptop repair!!
They took a week to complete a diagnostic, and I was then told they’d have the my laptop port replaced within 1-2 weeks as it will take time for the new port to arrive at techstar. I followed up after 2 weeks and was told the port would arrive that weekend, which it obviously did not. They ended up having the laptop for 3 weeks before I took it back to catch up with my college assignments and they said they will call me once they get the port and when I went in to ask why it was taking so long, they said they ordered the wrong part. 3 months later after going and enquiring about my laptop multiple times they still come back with the same response that they are getting the part in the next couple of days and will call me, which they never did. Went to a different business,part was fixed within 2 days. Definitely don't recommend this place to anyone

TERRIBLE.
Took my phone to them to have the back screen glass repaired for which they charged me quite a large €250 for a purely aesthetic repair.
During this “repair” THEY broke my original front apple screen, which is a much more serious problem as it’s where all the abilities of the phone are used. They then replaced this for free (obviously) but with a non Apple part.
Upon receiving the phone back it was in a terrible condition almost from the outset. Firstly, the phone started overheating, which was never a problem before they broke the front glass. Secondly, the “repaired” front screen started to fall off, the adhesive they used had failed and the screen was literally hanging off the phone. I then proceeded to bring the phone back to have this repaired.
Upon returning to collect the “repaired” adhesive job, only a few days later did it begin to fall off again. This exact same process continued two or three more times, each time being assured the screen would be 100%. This was an exhausting process and extremely annoying.
Unfortunately, after getting the phone back for maybe the fourth or fifth time, I dropped it when I fell on a stairs and the (dodgy) front screen cracked (although this damage would NOT have occurred if the screen wasn’t hanging off for the millionth time). When going back to them, they then blamed the damage THEY caused on that recent fall, and were happy to charge me another 400/500€ to repair the screen and motherboard (which I suspect is what they damaged at the outset and was the reason for the overheating).
Upon completion of this job (which took them over a month to complete), I finally had the phone back. Only one hour after leaving their store I was treated to the finding that the screen was completely unresponsive to touch, this actually became comical at this stage 😂
I then returned it to them the next day, (now maybe my sixth or seventh time returning due to improper work carried out) and they sent it off for another month or so.
I brought them the phone on the 18th of August for the back glass repair, and after all this trouble, I finally got the phone back in acceptable (not even 100% - as screen still slightly buggy at times) condition on the 22nd of November.
The staff were also extremely unapologetic, especially the manager, who was quite rude and blamed me outright for the issues THEY started.
An absolute joke of a shop, would avoid at all cost.

Cracked screen. Wanted €30 diagnostics!! with screen broken . And then €140 to get screen fixed . I suppose something has to pay from rental in Ballincollig!!! If not so greedy would go back again

Highly recommend! brought my laptop in with a tricky keyboard repair issue among other things, the technician did a wonderful job replacing it and my laptop is brand new i couldnt be happier with it! all the staff were really friendly and helpful too. cheers lads!
Waste of time

I followed up after 2 weeks and was told the battery would arrive that weekend, which it did not. They ended up having the laptop for a month and when I went in to ask why it was taking so long, they said they could no longer source the battery. I just asked for my laptop back as I was under pressure for college assignments, and ended up sourcing the battery myself which arrived within a week.

Terribly
Terribly, they told me that my notebook had a problem with the motherboard and that it was better for me to sell the parts. I went to another technician and fixed my notebook for €50. I paid €65 to investigate the problem, they gave the wrong diagnosis and I lost the money. I don’t recommend.

I ordered online. For a fortnight nothing happened. Then I just got an automated email that they cancelled the purchase because they didn't have enough stock. But no one explained to me what happened. I just wasted my time

I hate to leave a bad review but if I had read all the reviews here I would never have got my phone screen replaced here ,in December 22,Eoin left a review he got his Huawei screen replaced and within 12 hours it cracked exactly the same happened to my phone , lucky I had an up grade but was getting it repaired to give to my son ,i rang the store in Castle Troy shopping centre and told them it was not used I had it in my pocket ,I was told that may be my pocket hit something and there was nothing they could do ,at the bottom of the screen on the P20 pro there is an activation button and this is where the cracks radiated from come on guys it was not dropped more like not fitted properly anyway I urge everyone READ THE REVIEWS GO BACK AS FAR AS YOU CAN ,am very disappointed and it cost 190 euro , customer service nonexistent
