Kris and Andy formed Techpanda uk during the lockdowns after getting bored of the local walks and having had enough of This Morning. Once we had lost our jobs due to the pandemic a drive to do something more meaningful kicked in and Techpanda uk began. We decided to pursue what had been an eBay hobby and take the plunge into full self-employment. We specialise in laptops, monitors, CCTV/Security, gaming accessories and smart home products. We will be continually adding to our range, seeking out new wholesalers and manufactures to work with and, delivering the very best we can for our customers.

I wouldn't spend big money here..

I would definitley not recommend spending larger amounts of money here.

Techpanda initially sent me my purchase of a £2.5k laptop (that I saved for so long to purchase), in its original box with the label slapped on. It had dust, damage, scrapes all over the box. I usually like to have the original box in good condition but I saw past this, and thought yea ok save the planet whatever.

When I launched the laptop though, it had a substantial screen bleed, so went to replace it. Yes they were attentive, friendly and quick to sort the replacement, which came a few days later. The next one sent though was extremely concerning. The box looked like it had spent a Friday night down the docks. There was damage all over the box, holes in it, and the tamper seal was broken, and retaped with parcel tape under the address label, affixed before leaving the warehouse. Also an old invoice seemed to have been removed from the box. It was clearly a previously opened, used laptop.

I opened it up anyway, and it had a screen bleed in the identical area the previous one had. I'm highly suspect that the distributor is storing this expensive merchandise neglectfully (e.g. stacking laptops poorly, and stacking weight down on one side of them). I reflected my concerns with Techpanda who have blamed their distributor, saying it will lead to an "investigation", but left little confidence in their company; that it will ever be found out what happened, and that there will be any change following this concerning situation.

They didn't seem too overly concerned with keeping my experience positive, or finding out what dodgy goings on their distributor are up to. To reflect this, I'm still currently waiting on a refund which they said to me; "in their terms, takes up to 21 days to process". If you check 1.24 of their actual terms, it states refunds take up to 14 days.

The overall experience reflected what they said to me - they are a new inexperienced company. But in my opinion, if they cant handle expensive purchases or rectifying significant issues, they shouldn't present that they can. I would probably say if you were buying a mouse, keyboard etc. you'll be fine. But I would highly recommend spending larger amounts of money with a company that has quality control, that this company clearly doesn't have.

In response to the below:
I was unaware that the item sent to me was now actually a previously returned laptop(!?), I was never told this, the fact that this happened is even more insane.. you're reselling returned laptops? Also, I'm not being intentially harming to Techpanda, I'm reflecting my experience as a high paying customer, and the fact that my negative review is being labelled as me being intentionally harmful, and inaccurate shows a complete lack of responsibility and respect for what went wrong.

Further note: they have now decided to unilaterally amended 1.24 of their terms to 28 days for refunds after my review......

Now I'm so glad a relative had offered, and recommended me use their credit card for the buyer protection, as I'll probably need it at this point..

Thanks for taking the time to leave your feedback.
As I said in a previous communication with yourself, manufacturer defects can and do sometimes occur and I do understand the frustration that this can lead too, especially on a purchase that you have taken the time to save for.

As you know and have stated, we did respond to this and arranged for a collection and replacement quickly. So that we could get you the quickest turnaround we arrange for this to be sent out before your return had been received and used one of the manufacturers preferred distributors to supply and deliver this to you. We did this in good faith to make sure that you received a rapid resolution.

Sadly, for all concerned there was a mistake in the distributors warehouse and this resulted in you unfortunately being sent an already returned item as you know.

In our previous correspondence, we have taken full responsibility for this error and did not blame the distributor. The only reason that this has been mentioned is that you requested to understand how this could happen which is fair enough, but I will not be naming the distributor or discussing any of their team who have been spoken to about this mistake.

I’m not quite sure what your intention is in your last paragraph and I can only believe that this is to harm in some way Tech Panda. Thankfully the scenario that has played out with yourself is not reflective of the service we deliver to customers every day.

I appreciate that this has been a very frustrating experience and apologies for the outcome and your inconvenience. You do however have a couple more inaccuracies at the end of your statement as you say that we are a new inexperienced company. Yes, we are a new company and proud to be so. We are far from being inexperienced however.
I will contact accounts to make sure the refund to is in process to the person who paid for the order.

Order sold out just as I purchased, however:

I was informed very quickly over the phone that after purchasing that my order was unavailable, they refunded my shipping as I didn't mind waiting a bit longer for my purchase. I was always in the know on where my purchase was every step of the way through emails and it arrived in perfect condition.

Excellent customer service

Ordered a keyboard right before an Amazon promotion on similar item activated; the guys replied to my query on the same day just before the weekend and the customer service I received was excellent. While I regrettably did not complete my purchase with Techpanda this time, my request for a refund was fulfilled in minutes without fuss, and I will definitely consider them again for future purchases.

Efficient and reliable

The item was delivered to the wrong…

The item was delivered to the wrong address even with the driver telephoning me just before he arrived in my village. I told him where I lived. He did not ring again but left the item in the garage of an empty house. After complaining to the company he came back the next day to retrieve the item and delivered it to me. This was after I had informed my credit card company.

Emailed these guys about a particular product I wanted which was on the website to pre-order as I didn’t want to pre-order if it was going to be a long period of time. They emailed me back very quickly and informed me it will be in stock on the day, they then emailed again after saying they have it in so I ordered straight away and it arrived within 24 hours. The customer service has been fantastic all my questions were answered and the delivery has been brilliant.. I would 100% use these guys again.

Not a tech guy myself- found Tech Panda on Google. Spoke to Andy, told him what I needed, he hand sourced two laptops which I later purchased. Great hands on company, would highly recommend.
