I discovered TS at a time when I hadn't purchased clothes for over a year and needed a significant wardrobe refresh. Having sizes 12-24 is fantastic! Whoever does the styling and design really understands women's shapes (and we're not an easy bunch!) Simple things too, like having more robust fabric. (If you're a 38F bra, you don't want thin t-shirt material!) I found the Christchurch Riccarton shop staff excellent, the prices very good, the styles consistently suited to curvier bods and the returns and rewards systems excellent. There is some variance between shops but mostly, staff are a key factor in making curvier women (and their partners) feel comfortable and valued. I use TS for pretty much everything, except shoes because I have arthritis. I find I can often find something in the sales rack or on special, and no matter what time of year I travel, I can always find something to take - swimwear, t-shirts, jeans, fitness gear, party and evening wear, etc. Lingeries is well designed and in fun colours. I find the rewards system generous. There are also clearance stores that I've used to track down a second item of something loved that's become unwearable, and I've found the staff here extremely helpful for phone enquries and purchases. Did I mention, this is my favourite shop!

I took a chance and decided to order a lot of clothese from TS online. I have put a lot of weight on that even Big W stores don't cater for my size. The delivery was prompt, my brother was with me out front when the package arrived, so we opened them. He even commented on how gorgeous the items were and the quality. I was shocked, I bought slightly too big but that's all good, the quality is amazing. I am extremely happy with all 8 items. thank you

Fantastic styles with nice points of difference, love their use of natural fibres ;cotton, viscose with mix of other fabrics be they poly or linen with some elastane also in the mix. Cant find what they sell,on the high street. I am in my 50's size 20 woman and i get lots of compliments and asked where i got tops from etc. Free delivery with orders over £60 and an excellent free returns service. Update on previous review postage costs have changed massively you now need to order £100 to get free delivery and you are charged a mandatory £10 for returns and you are not allowed to return clearance items. It is unlikely i will be ordering online from taking shape very much in the future.

The clothes are decent, if a bit expensive. Do not breach their 30 day return or their attitude is ‘GET LOST, WE WILL NOT HELP YOU’. Terrible customer care attitude will never buy from them again.

Disgusting customer service. Bought trouser suit for special occasion. Wasn't worn until after 30 days of buying. (Do not breach their 30 day return or their attitude is WE'RE NOT INTERESTED AND NOTHING WILL BE DONE TO HELP YOU) After 20 min in car was a mass of creases and I had to purchase another outfit 😕 no telephone contact.emailed 4 times no reply. Finally got reply to say nothing wrong with material. Supposed viscose linen mix. Said they'd contact Australia depot 4 weeks ago. Have now contacted trading standards. They don't give a toss once you've bought it. I have photos but wasn't sure how to add!

Bought a number of dresses and T shirts from Taking Shape. Love their designs. Good quality garments. I will buy again and again - oh, I already have!

I bought a big lot of clothes when in the city as we have no where to shop as I live in a regional area. I loved the shirts and dresses and didn't mind paying a larger price but found my items shrunk when washed and can no longer wear which is very disappointing when I payed $129 for a shirt to only wear once!

Dresses are way oversized.Refound took quite a long time.

First time shopping with Taking Shape UK. Ordered 30th, received 3rd, super efficient over a weekend. They were extremely honest with their size guide. The item fitted perfectly and far exceeded expectation.

I went to TS in a real rush to buy a dress to wear for a wedding. The staff in the Whangarei store were amazing to deal with and helped me hugely, bringing me clothes to try and advice abut how to wear them. I ended up buying my whole winter wardrobe (oops). Unfortunately there was an issue with one of the tops that I bought. I called the store and they were able to arrange a replacement for me straight away. Great customer service - thanks!!!!!!

Terrible returns, be aware NZ that the address they advise to return to on their paperwork is a PO Box which Couriers do not return to. The ladies on the helpline only take notes of what you say, not really there to help you solve the problem. Parcel was sent back to me so I had to pay twice in returns. The clothes are lovely especially for plus size but I will wait to purchase in the shop next time. One month on and still no refund is not acceptable.

Two particular ladies at Launceston store are very friendly. I love going there to just look even. I find most of the style, compliment my body shape. If you buy on sale it is OK but it is over priced otherwise. The sale can be ridiculous like 50% off even 70% off. I guess that's a marketing trick. I love to buy in store when you can feel the garment but I have bought online and I would say I would be 70% satisfied.

I purchased online a garment which had a faulty zip.I returned it to the Myer from whom I purchased it. Myer replaced it but the replacement had the same problem.The response from Taking Shape was to tell me to return it to Myer for the second time.
I would have liked to have spoken to the quality team but apparently they do not talk to customers. I am left with a poor quality garment, loss of money and a sense of extreme disappointment.

I rarely write reviews but I wanted to publicly thank Kay, the UK Customer Services Manager. I have seldom received such fabulous service from a company. Oh, and the clothes are just fabulous for plus size!

Trying to place an order online as new customer, does not recognize my post code, wont let me carry on

I have recently purchased a couple of items from this company. Ordering is easy but they don't seem to have a clear address for returns. One of my returns was returned to me!! I don't think that I will be ordering from them again.

Taking Shape is probably the best company for online buying for me. Very fast delivery and usually the clothes are what they say. Confirmation of order is nearly instant. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend t&s to everyone.

Great range of comfortable and stylish clothing. My only criticism is that some trousers I've bought have shrunk in their first wash and I think for the price paid, the material should have been preshrunk. Ordering and returning are both very easy processes.

Wow, my first ever order with Taking Shape and I am so pleased.
The jacket I bought for a wedding is stunning and a perfect fit!
The top I bought for special occasions feels and looks luxurious.

Shipping was speedy too.

I buy from this company regularly and the garments: quality, sizing, styles and colours are amazing. The only reason I’ve given 4 stars is the starry kimono was priced at £95 last week but for the 25% off offer it has gone up to £105 - a bit unnecessary really!
