New boiler installed by Sureserve March 25. Installation went well initially until leaking occurred from pipes. This was sorted out reasonably quickly by same engineer. I had 1 year workmanship warranty on boiler so arranged for annual service before warranty ran out. Domestic and General appointed engineer from Gasway carried out an efficient service but pointed out two things which should have been carried out by installer. Incorrect filter and no inhibitor in system. The installer should correct this. I contacted Liverpool office on 16 March 2026 and they arranged for an engineer to call. After two no shows, engineer attended early evening on third appointment and said he would order parts via Liverpool office. Fourth appointment was a no show again. Engineer said he was stuck in traffic and wouldn’t reach builders merchants to pick up parts before they closed! Liverpool arranged another engineer for 27 April, who again was a no show. I have made 15 phone calls to Liverpool, once again this morning, but each time I’m fobbed off by reception and also the Manager, telling me they will call me back, but of course, they never do. I’m at a total loss what to do. Sureserve just want me to go away. Any suggestions would be welcome.
So, after being let down yesterday, I had a call from an engineer who was working in my area who said he was on his way to carry out the work. Sam arrived and re-fitted micro filter and added inhibitor. It took him just over one hour to complete. Needless to say, after 6 weeks, hopefully, I’m sorted. Thanks to Sam and also his Manager, Chris in the Liverpool office.

The engineer Dominic was great he came to fit a smart meter,
he phoned before he turned up, he arrived on time, he was polite & explained what he was doing & was able to answer my questions.
His work was tidy & he left no mess behind.

Dominic from Sureserve came out today to install my smart meter and provided an excellent service from start to finish. He was friendly, professional, and made the whole process feel easy and stress-free.
He explained everything clearly and took the time to make sure I understood how the smart meter works. During his checks, he also detected a small gas leak and went out of his way to help locate it, which I really appreciated — it showed real care and attention to detail.
The installation was carried out efficiently and he left everything tidy afterwards. Overall, a very positive experience and I’d highly recommend him.

Never turned up for original appointment to service boiler . Rearranged for a week later.
3 weeks after our boiler was serviced it broke down with several leaking pipes and no hot water or heating. Engineer came out to inspect it and advised it needed several new parts, and stated it had in fact been leaking for a long while also didn’t believe me when I told him it was only recently serviced by sureserve and no problems spotted then.
We were then left over a week with no heating or hot water.
new parts finally arrived and were installed but we had further problems the next day and called him back again. He stated the new parts were faulty and rang the boiler manufacturer for advice who denied this and insisted it only needed cleaning.
It was obvious the original boiler service was not completed correctly, causing incorrect misleading information, poor quality work carried out, poor excuses throughout.

Lloyd was thorough in his assessment as to whether is was possible to fit the Smart meters, giving us some good advice and relevant information.
Lloyd was able to fit the electricity meter. He did a great job and made sure he left everything tidy once finished. He showed us how the new meter works before leaving.

The problem with the Danfoss Thermostat completed over the phone. Reg was very clear in directing me what to do, to re programming the box. I was very pleased the phone call was very early in the morning.

Scottish Power offer excellent customer service. They recently fixed an economy 7 service issue for my eldery mother. George Smith was the engineer who attended and he was very thorough and worked hard to resolve the issue. He was courteous and considerate, thank you to Scottish Power for sending a professional 👏

If I could select 0 stars I would . Didn’t attend an appointment following previous poor service , this was a wasted day off work. Phone staff couldn’t have cared less if they tried (when you eventually get through) eventually awarded compensation for poor service and missed appointments - accepted the offer on 10th march - still waiting for it to be paid and no one replying to emails - appalling company !

Our engineer Dominic had to spend a long time sorting out and simplifying our system when Octopus asked him to come and fix our new meters.
It wasn’t an easy or quick job but he has done an excellent professional job and everything has been sorted.

I wish I could have given them even below then ONE, I complained for hot water in December 2025 and they called me back in April 26, what a shame!
Since they are big a company and must have connections with local governments, so they will make full use of that in making money and reuning people's life..
