Had my stratocaster pick ups and bridge replaced as well as a set up of the action and intonation. I was astonished by the result, the guitar plays itself. Great customer service, very kind and passionate about his work and guitars. Money well spent, and absolutely worth every pence. Recommended.

Great, friendly service
John was friendly, attentive and very helpful. I'm a 'casual' guitar player, but he explained the issues with my guitar clearly and offered various options as to how these could be solved in a non-technical manner.
Strongly recommended.

Guitar Setup
Levelled the frets and adjusted the action on my Takamine electro/acoustic. Plays SO much better now. Also cleaned and varnished the neck - looks like new. Really pleased with the work and keenly priced too. Such a knowledgeable and friendly chap.

Fantastic job
John did a fantastic job on bringing my lefty Strat back to life. He gave it the full setup, fixed the output jack and tightened the floating bridge. It was done in a day, John was really informative and helpful, and it was great value too. Couldn't recommend highly enough.

Make your guitar sing like new!
Friendly reliable knowledgeable service and at a good price too. Had a telecaster whole refret done on some worn to the 'board frets and a fret dress on a jazzmaster to sort out some uneven frets and now they are both super playable and sound great. Recommended.

Visited String King Guitar Works for an assessment of my Taylor Big Baby Acoustic. Professional, knowledgable and swift consultation and service. Excellent advice given on fretboard treatment and string suppliers. Reasonably priced and honest (no works done that are not required). Highly recommended — I will be visiting again.
