It's okay but they don't explain entirely that you still need a passport. The reason I switched to StartGlobal was because of not needing a passport. But whoopty woo, you still need this document because the bank account they set you up with only accepts passports if you are not a US resident which defies my whole purpose of going with them right? Had I known I would have just stayed with the other business and filed for my passport. For this alone Startglobal is shady and will never recommend them. Oh and add the fact that trying to see where you can reach out to customer service is like finding a needle in a hay stack. No idea how to speak to customer service. This is literally the worst place. I have no clue how they have these 5 stars. Just straight up shady.

Startglobal is good, I have tried many options for getting US bank account and finally I did. easy option for someone based in Middleeast to setup in USA.

I was contacted by the CEO himself who apologized for the mistake and provided the refund as promised by his team.

For this reason I want to change my review, I am happy that in the face of the mistake they showed professionalism in the end and fixed it.

I turned to StartGlobal for tax filing, trusting their professionalism. After I communicated my income, they told me the fee would be $1,500, claiming that my income was above a certain threshold. However, after thoroughly reviewing all of my income, I was certain that it was below $90,000, and that the applicable fee should have been $500, as clearly stated in one of their earlier emails.

In that communication, they explicitly mentioned that for income under $90,000, the fee would be $500. Despite this, I proceeded with the $1,500 payment because they assured me that if their calculations were incorrect, they would refund the difference.

When I requested the refund, their reply was completely contradictory: they claimed that because my income was between $50,000 and $100,000, the $1,500 fee still applied. However, this range was never mentioned before — only the $90,000 threshold was clearly defined in their previous communication.

I have proof in writing from their emails confirming what I’m saying. They changed the income brackets afterwards to avoid issuing the refund, which is both unprofessional and dishonest.

I feel completely misled. Once they received the payment, they changed the terms to suit their needs.
I do not recommend StartGlobal at all.
