Used to be good - but they got fined by the FCA for failing to prevent crime, and we suffer as a result. Now, for 2 years my overseas payments for invoices have been delayed, sometimes beyond the SLA of 10 working days. It is extremely frustrating and occasionally unnecessarily impacts cashflow.
Edit: They reply saying they “may” ask to verify details of overseas payments … no, every single time it’s delayed - same company sending the payment each time, roughly similar amounts, they even have my contract with that company on file. What additional checks are they doing each month? It’s to protect themselves, not me.

My Starling account was easy to open, my card arrived promptly and the App is very easy to use. Very pleased, will be using my card in Canada as Starling are fee free to use abroad.

It used to be one of the best banks on the market but after 10 years we are moving away.
It's a good app with excellent customer service but wholly inappropriate as a bank. They never offered good international transfer options. Savings accounts that are on par with competitors like Wise, Monzo or Revolut. No credit card options and to top it all off now all overdraft facilities were closed for most account holders. It's just not a bank I can use anymore. And the same is true for most of my friends. Customer service is key but it can only go so far when the product is no longer good.

Easy on line access, able to move money around easily.
I’ve had a starling account for around 4 years now. It’s perfect for me, never once had a problem with them, even when I bought stuff on facebook and never received my items, starling refunded me.
The Starling app is faultless, the ability to make virtual cards is great for online shopping security.
Very pleased with my Starling account.

I've been a Starling customer for years now (Personal, Joint, and Business accounts) and it is by far the best banking experience I've had. Easy to use app, quick contact creation, schedule payment management, international payments; all solid and user-friendly. I don't think I've ever had the need to call customer services. Notifications and warnings appear on my phone when I need them. Couldn't ask for more from a bank.

Love banking with Starling. App works well and is easy to navigate around. Get notifications when I have payments going out and payments received. Super helpful with CS also if required.
My only issue is foreign trading - As I buy abroad I need to pay in USD and currently have to use an intermediary platform for now - no big deal, but would smooth it out if I could pay ForEx directly.

I really like Starling Bank. I currently use them as a supplement to my "main bank" but have been tempted to switch all of my banking to them - not done it yet though.
Transactions are processed quickly & I really like their "Spaces" and particularly the ability to create virtual debit cards which are useful for online purchases where you may not want to have your usual card details shared with a slightly unknown online entity.
Overall, really good.
