Used Starling without issues in Asia

It was very easy to open a Starling GBP and EUR account and we have been using Starling without fees and good currency exchange rates without any problems in Vietnam, China and Japan for 3 months.

I moved to Starling Bank as was tired…

I moved to Starling Bank as was tired of the mediocre traditional high street banks and wanted a business banking app that would allow me to access all my services.

Starling has a delivered a more modern flexible approach and I have since moved most of my personal banking over.

A friend who had received excellent service from Starling made the recommendation, his recommendation was a good one. I have since recommended Starling to both personal and banking customers alike.

Starling will remove your overdraft if you use your overdraft. Not fit for purpose

I would no longer be recommending starling bank . It’s now taking a dive into obscurity. I was one of those who started when they opened , so that’s’more than 5 years now , they have suddenly removed my overdraft facility because I used it. What’s the point of the overdraft if you don’t use it once in a while . I think they are pissed off because, I pay the overdraft straight away and they don’t get to charge me interest. They offered me to raise a complaint , but there is no point as I will be taking my business to another bank. My advise is to avoid starling , they think one will beg then to reinstate the overdraft, truth is I don’t really use it , it’s pure laziness on my part that it goes overdrawn knowing info have a safety net . But since they decided to remove the safety net, there is no point in staying or using their service to be fair. It was better when the lady founder was running it. As of 2026 , Starling bank is not fit for purpose !

As for paying interest on savings. We do have savings accounts that pay interest, but for Spaces, we no longer pay interest on them or your account. We're sorry if this causes any frustration.

Starling bank is simply brilliant

Starling bank has been brilliant since the day I opened the account. So easy to use, love the spaces, separating out different pots for saving, holiday etc. very useful to only put an amount in the main account to prevent someone skimming your card.
App is really simple and I get alerts whenever any transactions are made.

7 years & counting...

Got to have been with Starling for around 7 years now when I left the 'old style' banking behind.
I must admit the transition was awful but more recently amongst being very helpful / & reasonable with charges etc the app is so simple & easy to use. Starling continues to be innovative, always looking for new ideas & ways to improve, can't see myself going anywhere else anytime soon, keep doing what your doing.

My Impression of Starling Bank

Since I first opened an account everything has run smoothly with no problems. Customer service is fairly quick to get in touch with and is very helpful in sorting out issues.

Easy opening, easy control of currency accounts.

The accounts were easy to open. They handle everything I need very efficiently and without fuss. Instant advice of payments in and out, the ease of handling of Euro and USD transactions, all make it an easy to use bank.

Brilliant Bank.

So easy to deal with!

So easy to deal with! My personal and my business account were set up within couple of days and the App is great. I've been with Starling for a while now and if I've needed to contact customer services, I've not had to wait ages on the phone to speak to someone and it's a UK based person you speak to. Love it!
