I'm extremely happy switch to Startling business account as it has so many features to organise my business, easy access to funds and complete MTD. Plus accounting other features I haven't tried yet. And on top of that as sole trader there are no fees unless adding extra features like VAT.

As a 40 something, I've tried out many banks over the years, but Starling is by far my favourite! I love how simple and intuitive their app is and the customer service by messaging for support has been really great too -- clear, responsive and the agents are real people that answer my questions! The tools for tracking your spending are very insightful and make checking your budget easy without needing to consult any spreadsheets. Most of all, I love the spending and saving spaces for managing my money (including the option of virtual cards for things like Food, Days out, Pet expenses) and saving it towards very specific goals (like Holidays, Christmas, Emergency fund, Days Out etc). It's very easy to automate my money on pay day so that I actually reach my savings and spending goals! I feel much more in control of my money with Starling and never want to leave them.

Best bank account! Customer services is amazing, Spaces function is super useful and helps me save easily. The App is well designed and user friendly. Instan notifications are timely, and I have nothing bad to say about Starling at all.

Good bank let down by stupid things like sending repeated emails saying try out this new option it will will improve your life so I tried and tried only to discover it was only for apple not andoid but the fantastic bank could not even bring themselves to say "only for apple products" on the repeated emails. So if that's the type of banking you want go for it. I had to write to them for them to admit this:

Yes after chasing you re my enquiry about how I could get it you already apologised. My point is you could have said in the many messages about trying this out oh bye the way its only for Android customers at the moment you chose not to add this message so millions of your android customers were left spending their time trying and failing to get it to work. AND this was not a moment ago it was more than 6 MONTHS ago so again you are demonstrating you don't really care about your customers.

I've been using Starling for just under three years and so far have had a great experience using the banking app. I don't do anything complex on it, but it's intuitive, fast and responsive. I've only had to contact somebody in person once, and got a very quick, helpful response that addressed my issue, so very happy with that aspect too.

Ever since joining Starling (Many years) I have enjoyed the freshness of their way of banking. Everything is easy and understandable. I get great benefit from the spaces section, the savings account being competitive and also the free euro account for when I travel abroad. I have dealt with customer service a couple of time and both times they have been excellent. I recommend to everyone, especially when they describe Revolut or Monzo I show them starling and they say its so much better. I dont work there or have any affiliation they are just simply the best bank on the market right now.

I have been with Starling for years the app is very good with useful features BUT they stopped paying interest on the account, no idea why, so I don't use it much these days. I already have ISA's and other savings accounts, so I don't wish to open any more.

It was very easy to open a Starling GBP and EUR account and we have been using Starling without fees and good currency exchange rates without any problems in Vietnam, China and Japan for 3 months.

I moved to Starling Bank as was tired of the mediocre traditional high street banks and wanted a business banking app that would allow me to access all my services.
Starling has a delivered a more modern flexible approach and I have since moved most of my personal banking over.
A friend who had received excellent service from Starling made the recommendation, his recommendation was a good one. I have since recommended Starling to both personal and banking customers alike.

I would no longer be recommending starling bank . It’s now taking a dive into obscurity. I was one of those who started when they opened , so that’s’more than 5 years now , they have suddenly removed my overdraft facility because I used it. What’s the point of the overdraft if you don’t use it once in a while . I think they are pissed off because, I pay the overdraft straight away and they don’t get to charge me interest. They offered me to raise a complaint , but there is no point as I will be taking my business to another bank. My advise is to avoid starling , they think one will beg then to reinstate the overdraft, truth is I don’t really use it , it’s pure laziness on my part that it goes overdrawn knowing info have a safety net . But since they decided to remove the safety net, there is no point in staying or using their service to be fair. It was better when the lady founder was running it. As of 2026 , Starling bank is not fit for purpose !
