Very misleading
Very misleading store and staff. When booking the appointment we were told the exam is included with the frames and the lenses would be done the same day. When getting to the appointment, we were told the exam is $25. We told them we had insurance and that they don't bill our type of insurance and give us a $130 credit for glasses. While waiting, we picked out a pair well below the credit and after the exam, we were then told due to the strength needed, the lenses need to be ordered and could take 2 weeks or more to come in. The whole reason we chose stanton is because the same day glasses due to my son's being broken and needing some sooner rather than later. When taken to the counter to pay, was told it's now $90 instead of $25? I asked why and they just shrugged their shoulders. I only paid because we needed the glasses and didn't have time to go elsewhere. After looking at the receipt, it said I was charged $65 for lenses plus the $25 exam fee. I asked why so much for lenses and they said oh he needs special lenses? Why was i not told? We have never needed special lenses in the past, much less ever had to pay extra for lenses unless we added special coatings. Very misleading. Also wanted to mention the 2 for $79 is a lie. They don't carry any of the frames included in the 2 for $79 in store. We weren't looking for that deal, but we did notice that none of the frames were available for that deal. I would never recommend this company to anyone needing glasses.

Age discrimination for service 80yo cutoff age
My father who is 83 years old went to get glasses at a store in Knoxville, TN after talking with them on the phone on Aug. 19, 2024. They deinied him service because of his age. Told him the cutoff age is 80 yo. My sister called the company and they confirmed the age cutoff for service. Getting older is hard enough without the age discrimination and psycological impact of being treated this way. Company should provide service regardless of age. This is wrong.
