Such a valuable service…
Such a valuable service particularly because the current wait times for non urgent NHS Dermatology are more than 2.5yrs! I was able to get an appointment for my daughter to see a Consultant Dermatologist for a 30 minute within 2 weeks and for a very reasonable fee.
We saw Dr Alice Plant who was very thorough and addressed all of my daughters concerns kindly and carefully making sure everything was understood. She now has a clear treatment plan going forward and quick access to go back at any time should she require any prescription medication. It was also very nice to be given a list of the best and most appropriate topical creams that can be bought over the counter in most chemists.

Would highly recommend
I have had been to the Southface Clinic in Christchurch several times over the past few years. Dr Luna has treated me mainly for sun damage. I have also had 2 minor surgical procedures at the clinic. I have always been happy with my treatment and feel reassured.
It’s also good not having to wait ages for an appointment when you are feeling worried.

Professional and effective treatment
I sought advice and possible treatment for 5 different skin issues and they were all dealt with in one appointment. I had 2 issues treated effectively and was given advice and treatment options for the others including a letter to my GP to ask if they would prescribe a cream.
I was treated in a very professional and sensitive way. It was good value for money and saved a 6 month NHS wait.

Lesion removal surgery
Dr Luna was very professional making me feel relaxed and comfortable from the moment I walked in and answering all my questions before starting the procedure. She was very reassuring during the procedure to have 2 lesions removed from my face and the end result was very neat. Also advised on best product to use to minimise scar appearance. One week on and having just had the stitches removed everything is healing nicely.
Would highly recommend.

I have been visiting Southface for a number of years for follow up following the removal of a malignant melanoma. The monitoring of my skin has been very thorough and I have had a number of procedures to remove potentially troublesome moles and spots. The treatment in every case has been superb and the continued follow up has been very re-assuring.

EXCELLENCE AT SOUTHFACE
I arrived 30 minutes later than my appointment time (the train was late!), but I was warmly welcomed at Reception, and was seen almost straight away by Dr Julia Martin.
Dr Martin quickly assessed my skin condition and explained clearly her suggestion for a procedure to rectify this long-standing problem.
Excellent!
On the appointed day, the procedure was carried out by Dr Lilliana Luna. After explaining the procedure and likely outcome, she got to work on the problem area on my face. A certain amount of mild discomfort during the administration of the local anaesthic, the operation proceeded according to plan and I was able to relax, with confidence.
I could not have asked for more care and consideration, Thank you Dr Luna - and everyone at Southface.

Cannot recommend Amanda enough. Really thorough and she is ultra careful for people like me with reactive skin.
