Southern Industries Not recommended. I would not recommend due to how the visits (pleural) were planned, not receiving the second proposal which we were considering, and when we received the survey and opened it, we could not input any information; the site automatically gave them all 10's. There was an initial visit from Marcus with a proposal of 23,000 and we were warned that the company may try and coordinate another visit by another manager and they may try to provide a lower cost. The first individual sent the proposal and then the second visit happened. They bad mouthed the first guy and let us know he was over priced; offered us a verbal proposal for 15,000 and stated they would send the proposal shortly. Not sure what the game was, but we never heard back. This was a team of two, Cory and another individual, would have to see the employee list and can pick out the last name easily. Now I question the reviews; how valid are they. If we see them at the next Homeshow, we will speak to them and advise others against.

Hello and I have been texting Klyanne with Southern Industries for an appointment that scheduled on May 24 at 2pm but no one showed up. Working with her was the worst customer service experience that I have ever had.

Do not hire this group! Jack Gehredes was sales rep. No follow up to complaints……
We clearly explained that installation needed to take into consideration elderly homeowners. We received multiple commitments that team would not be invasive and accommodate as much as possible. We signed the contract in June with an estimate of window installation in July /Early Aug. at latest.
Jack told us that we would be kept updated on the status of the project weekly/biweekly and when we could expect completion so we could coordinate work schedule..didnt happen.
They called in late July and said they would be there next day.
When they arrived , the windows (20) didn’t fit. Installers had to put molding to accommodate. We had also advised that we wanted to retain the existing storm windows…we had to stop the installers after they destroyed the first two ripping them out .
One window (new) was damaged during installation due to force applied. Another window was completely the wrong size .. we advised IN JULY that no addition payment would be forthcoming until job was right.

It’s now Nov. 1 and we were told they would be back today after 10:30 to complete job.Took another day off work to be there.. texted they would be here at 3:30, showed up at 4:30.
It’s 6:30 and windows are finally in. Asked for paperwork, nothing provided for final sign off.

DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY

Received a sales pitch by salesman. Product is severely overpriced 10k for gutters and 40k for siding. Questioned salesperson for detailed quote the charge 1k admin and 4k processing fee.i looked at the contract which I never signed they wanted $1800 a month for 48 months which equal 88k. ….double . Thus company should not be allowed to do business anywhere

Sales rep Alex came out to my house to quote new windows. He quoted me a "special" price if I signed a contact with him on the spot and they would be installed in 2-3 weeks. I fell for it and signed the contact. 4 weeks later I never received an install date so I started calling ... very difficult to get ahold of to the point I thought I may have been scammed. Finally Alex, the sales rep called me back and stated they didn't quote me the appropriate window type that would meet code due to hurricanes and the price would increase. I cancelled my contact. Terrible experience with this company. I would look else where.

Very disappointed in Southern siding & window company roof they installed top over porch leaking ever time it rains already call them 4 times no response, work very unprofessional I watched some of them working seems like the first time they try doing it. What so bad is the water is leaking down thru the ceiling fan they installed really scare of electrical fire.

I have been calling to get an update on when my project of siding and gutters will be started. I signed a contract two months ago, paid a $10,000 deposit, and now I can’t get a hold of anyone who can help me. My calls are not returned and no projected start date. Company is overpriced and very unprofessional. I will be reporting to the state of NC, BBB, and will continue writing reviews to hopefully warn people and prevent them from going through what I am experiencing. Seek another company!

I am very pleased with my windows when the men came in with them they started working and never stopped till they were finished and cleaned up after the work was done like I said I am very pleased with the job that you all done I give you all a 10 on my windows,thank you so much

The work is over priced and extremely low quality. Trying to get repair or correction is almost impossible. You need to call several times each time before you receive a return call. Promises are always made but not fulfilled.

We had the "Ultimate Gutter Guard" system installed, thereby avoiding the cleaning of gutters for 20 years (We are Seniors and avoid climbing ladders). The Sales Representative Rachel kept in touch throughout and was such a very pleasant knowledgeable person to have on our side. The lead installer Ronald Earnhart was very efficient, professional and friendly, as well. The company needs to pat them on their backs for a job well done!

About two years ago we used Southern Siding to replace our gutters (which we were very unhappy with). The representative was very personable, professional, and knowledgeable. Installation was flawless and we have been extremely please ever since.
We now have need to replace a sliding glass door in our sun-room. We again turned to Southern Siding. It has yet not been installed but one of the managers (Steven Leedom) came to help us. He too was wonderful to work with. After listening to what we were looking for he suggested the right door for our needs. We think it will be a substantial upgrade and we are looking forward to having it installed.
From our experience Southern Siding is an excellent company to work with!

I will never recommended this company as They collect your money if you have any problem they will never respond to you they will promise they will come in to check the problem they never showed up never recommend it Very poor customer service.

It was a pleasure to work with Mr. Phillips. I am thoroughly enjoying my windows and I can’t wait to start my next project.

We are completely thrilled with the work that was done. We went from an outdated shower/tub combo that was actually quite small and also dangerous. In one day, the contractors demoed the existing tub and replaced it with a beautiful walk in shower that has AMPLE room as well as grab bars for safety. I just told my husband again, how much I love my new shower! SO happy we did this!

I selected Southern Siding & Windows from a Sam's club vendor for a NEW roof on one of my six rental properties. The first meeting went well at the house with the salesman. I gave them the job to install the new roof. On the day of the installation I discovered that Southern Siding & Windows sub-contracts their work to the lowest bidder. Nothing against sub-contractors but the 3 roof workers were Mexicans who spoke very little to NO English. I asked who was in charge and they ALL had no idea what I was asking, then one of the 3 said "boss back at office". The house required to have electric to run power equipment, but the electric was not on at this house and the 3 workers did not bring a generator to start their work at the work site. This is crazy. After the roof was already installed the 3 workers forgot to install the drip cap around the entire house trim to prevent wood from rotting. The roofers had to return 3 weeks later to lift up the bottom row of shingles to install the drip cap. But here is the kicker, there were vines growing along the side of the house and they placed the drip cap over the vines without cutting them out of the way. Say what? The trash from the new roof installation remained in the front yard of the house for two weeks after the shingles were installed, Talk about a mess. They finally sub-contracted a trash guy with a pick-up truck to remove the roof trash. As I told the salesman Mike who took the contract, you won't have to worry about me referring anyone to Southern Siding & Windows, that won't happen now or ever. I am hoping the NEW roof costing $7,000 don't leak. I also told Mike that if any of the roof plywood after the old shingles were removed was bad to replace the bad plywood, but if the 3 workers missed the drip cap, you can bet they also missed any bad plywood as well. DO NOT USE SOUTHERN SIDING & WINDOWS for roof work. Just lousy workmanship. Seems this company is blaming others and nobody is checking on their sub-contractors work. I thought I could give Southern Siding & Windows some work. I should have stay with my old roofers who do great work, but they were busy. I should have waited. This is a poorly ran business with a don't give a crap mindset. They just want to get the money, regardless of workmanship. Can't wait for the first BIG rain, because I have a 10 year contract and they'll be back until 2029. Hope you enjoyed reading this review. Harry

We love our covered patio. It is especially nice with the hot days lately. The customer service is great.

Work was done quickly, but quality was maintained. Didn't try to sell me something I didn't need.

First day to show up to start our windows and siding. Took all the blinds down, curtains, moved all the furniture, and Southern sidings crew did not show up!!!! The date and time was scheduled 2 weeks ago. To really top it off no phone call, so we called after an hour late, and was told they had truck problems! Like I really believe that!!! So you have a whole crew not working today? I called and was assure told they would be here in the morning, we will see! Hey T. Padgett it's one thing to sell it, but another to get it done! Very disappointed at this point. Once job is done I will re-think my review.

Excellent product, excellent workmanship. Craftsmen were professional and responsive to questions. staff was quick to address issues

Our Southern Siding Window Replacement-
We had an excellent experience! Everything was explained to us up front and the installers were excellent. They told us exactly what they were going to do and what we needed to do. After installation each day the area was cleared as if no one had even been here. Our home and neighbors were treated very well. The windows are excellent! Twenty-two windows were installed very quickly without any problems.
