We were really looking forward to a kid-free weekend away, but sadly this place was a huge letdown. The accommodation is tiny and honestly not worth the drive. The bed had bits in it — crumbs or dust of some sort — and the whole room felt damp, which made it uncomfortable and unpleasant.

When I raised this with the owner, they seemed dismissive and uninterested in resolving the issue. Because of this, we decided to cut our stay short and found somewhere else much more suitable, where we could actually relax without worrying about cleanliness or damp.

Very disappointed overall and definitely would not return

The Lapwing Lodge was beautiful

The Lapwing Lodge was beautiful. Just what I needed so tranquil & relaxing! The lodge was well equipped with everything I needed, I took cleaning equipment but no need as it was all there including washing up liquid, cleaning pods for the dishwasher, hand wash etc
The hot tub was delightful & so clean.
Diane was very helpful giving me good ideas of where to visit, I didn’t manage to visit everything so I will be going back to visit the places I missed.
The only criticism I have is that there wasn’t the facilities to recycle plastics, tins or glass!

11 Crabshell Heights-loved the apartment but in need of some tlc!
Incliner not working-table covered in awful plastic table cloth and chairs look like they come from charity shop-nice to have two doors to open in the lounge-just needs updating -easy walk to Kingsbridge and Crabshell pub across the road-very good

website dysfunctional, missing gender inclusive titles

The website doesn't work in Firefox mobile, so had to find another means. Also when booking it forces a narrow-minded/gender-critical minded list (mr/Mrs/miss/ms) like it was 1950. Better to include blank option and Mx.
