Ben Thomas at Slate Workshop was very prompt replying to my email (on a Sunday)! regarding a memorial plaque for my husbands ashes. His sentsitive manner and following quote was much appreciated and the order arrived in time for it to be installed for a special day as promised by Ben.

Ben was very responsive and helpful. He provided a number of different options for us and worked with us to get it right.

Really impressed with Ben at Slate Workshop. He responded quickly to my initial enquiry and having drawn up roughly what I wanted on my memorial plaque, he sent me the design for approval.

I chose honed Welsh slate and had the lettering picked out with enamel paint. It was important that the dimensions matched those specified by Clandon Wood as it lays flat over the grave at the natural burial site.

It arrived soon after approval, well-packaged and my family are delighted with the finished item.

Ben was professional, sympathetic and not phased by an unusual request. The memorial plaque was exactly what we wanted and it arrived quickly and in perfect condition.

We contacted Ben to enquire about a new slate house sign on a Saturday, he replied quickly, sent some suggestions and a mock-up design and then we spent a couple days deciding what size to go with. We placed our order early the next week and our beautiful slate sign had arrived by the Thursday! Absolutely superb craftmanship and customer service.

We needed a new house sign to replace a hideous metal one when we moved into our new home, The Slate Workshop made us a fantastic sign with authentic thick Welsh slate in no time at all. Ben designed the layout and provided us with proofs on a couple of ideas/sizes for us to choose from. We were kept up to date with the process from start to finish and picked up our beautiful new sign yesterday and we can't wait to put it on the front of the house.

We wanted something special to celebrate our upcoming 30th wedding anniversary on searching the web we found the Slate Workshop the items looked great we decided on a Mantel Clock I sent my request to Ben who sent back the design which was lovely. My clock arrived today we are thrilled it’s beautiful the quality is amazing something to treasure for years to come. I can highly recommend this company thank you again Ben.

We arranged for a slate house sign in Welsh for a brother's new house in Australia. It was lovely, beautifully crafted and almost tactile, and surpassed our expectations. Everyone who has seen it has admired it, and it will add a wonderful flavour of home down under.

Thank you Ben for such a beautiful slate memorial for our mum and dad. From the moment we made contact with you about the tablet you were so responsive and helpful. You sent us mock ups of how the tablet would look and options to chose from. When we were advised by the church we had to put mums name in full nothing was too much trouble, you amended the mock up and sent it again! We are so happy with the final memorial … thank you!
