Avoid Sklum at all costs. A genuinely awful experience.
Like many people, we bought into the idea that Sklum sells stylish, well-made furniture. Their products look good on the website, and aesthetically, from the photos, they seem like a good choice. Unfortunately, we only discovered the reality after ordering: the quality is shockingly poor.
We purchased a bed from Sklum, and from the moment it arrived, it was obvious that the materials were extremely low grade. The internal filling feels and sounds like cheap crunchy plastic. Every time you move, get in, or get out of the bed, there is an audible plastic crinkling noise. For a bed, this is ridiculous. It makes the product feel cheap, badly made, and completely unsuitable for normal use.
Even worse, the bed had a strong, noxious fishy chemical smell from the beginning. At first, we assumed it might be a temporary factory smell and decided to give it time to air out. Unfortunately, after months of use, the smell has not gone away. In fact, it seems to have become worse. Anyone who comes into our home, especially near the bedroom, comments on it and asks what the smell is.
It has now reached the point where I feel the smell is giving me headaches, and we no longer consider the bed fit for purpose. A bed should not make your bedroom smell like chemicals or plastic. It should not make guests comment on the smell of your home. It should not feel like it is filled with cheap synthetic material that crackles every time you move.
The assembly process was also terrible. The instructions were extremely poor: badly written, badly illustrated, and unnecessarily confusing. Assembling the bed took a huge amount of effort because the documentation was so inadequate. The whole thing gave the impression of a generic cheaply manufactured product with Sklum branding added at the end, rather than something genuinely designed with care or quality control.
We are now asking Sklum for a full refund. If they want the bed returned, they can collect it from us and disassemble it themselves. We are based in Valencia, and Sklum is a Valencia company, so this is entirely reasonable. We no longer have the original packaging, and we do not accept that the burden should be placed on us to disassemble, repackage, and ship back a defective, smelly, oversized product at our own cost.
Sklum’s return policy may try to push that responsibility onto the customer, but where a product appears defective, unfit for purpose, or not of acceptable quality, a company should not be placing unreasonable obstacles in the way of a refund.
The more I looked into Sklum, the more I realised we are far from alone. There are thousands of poor reviews online and even groups dedicated to people sharing their terrible experiences with this company. I have also seen other people mention chemical smells, fishy odours, off-gassing concerns, and very poor product quality.
I cannot say exactly what chemical is causing the smell in our bed, but I can say this: no furniture product, especially a bed, should smell like this for months. No customer should have to sleep beside a product that gives off a strong unpleasant odour and makes them worry about what they are breathing in.
This has been a huge wake-up call. Sklum may look good online, but based on our experience, the reality is cheap materials, poor instructions, terrible product quality, and a return process that appears designed to make things difficult for the customer.
Buyer beware. I strongly recommend avoiding Sklum.

Order placed on 25 April (Order number: WNUINXFAQ) with a stated delivery time of 2–3 business days. Since then, the delivery date has been postponed multiple times at the very last minute, with no proactive communication from SKLUM.
I arranged my schedule several times to be at home for delivery, only to receive new delay notifications shortly beforehand. Even now, neither SKLUM nor the transport partner can provide a definitive delivery date.
Customer service responses completely absent, despite several detailed emails requesting clarification, compensation, or at least clear communication.
Very frustrating experience overall. I hope posting this review finally results in someone from SKLUM contacting me regarding this order.

I will never order with Sklum again and would advise everyone to do the same. If you do order with them, be prepared to have the most dreadful experience of your life. That this is even possible in 2026, the company should be ashamed! Placed an order which was sent in 3x, no worries here. Picked the regular shipment because I can carry the items in by myself. Items are sent with companies that don’t inform you when they will arrive, and are then sent to pick up points several km away. Lots of fun when you ordered big items. With 1 shipment sent you do not want this to happen a 2nd or 3rd time. So you contact customer service, to add premium shipment to your upcoming orders. Then you speak with 5 different people, none of them understands your question or is able to help. What I am looking for is not that hard, just getting a notification when the item is planned to arrive… amazing when you have a 200 kg table on the way.
I expect to be contacted that this gets fixed without the use of automated messages

Avoid this company at all costs! I am writing this to warn every single consumer out there about the absolute nightmare and lack of respect I am experiencing with this business.
To expose the complete lack of organization and competence, here is the factual timeline of how they took my money and left me stranded:
February 27, 2026: I purchased a couch for approximately €900.
March 9, 2026: The couch was delivered.
March 30, 2026: We opened an official incident report because the couch arrived with a defect.
April 10, 2026: The delivery company came to collect the damaged section for replacement.
April 22, 2026: They returned to deliver the "replacement"... only to bring the exact same section I already had at home.
Since April 22, I have been left without a complete, functional couch. My living room is being blocked by a massive, useless piece of furniture, and I am out €900.
Trying to get this resolved is a psychological torture. Their customer service has ridiculous, unacceptable hours: they are only open from 8:00am to 12:00pm (noon). You are forced to wait on hold for hours. To make matters worse, if you are in the queue and the clock strikes 12:00pm, they simply hang up on you, leaving you without support for the day, and forcing you to try again the next day.
We have been calling almost every single day. Every time we manage to reach them, they use the exact same excuse: "We will contact the transport company and get back to you as soon as we have an answer." They never call back. Not once. They completely refuse to take responsibility for their own mistakes.
I have already filed an official complaint with ASAE. Do not fall for their automated, polite replies on social media or review platforms, it is all a lie to keep up appearances. Their customer service is a sham, and their operations are a complete failure. Save your money and your sanity: do not buy from them!
In case they eventually decide to help me out and solve my situation, though I don't have any hope anymore, I will leave my order number here: XMJHZGXXK

This is the worst company I have ever bought furniture from.
I bought a couch from them for around €900, and it arrived with a defect. I activated the warranty immediately, and they came to collect the damaged half of the couch.
After months of waiting, they returned the wrong section entirely. Instead of bringing the replacement for the damaged half, they brought me the exact same half that I already had at home. As a result, I have been left without a complete and usable couch for over 3 months.
I now have a huge unusable couch section sitting in my living room while I keep waiting for them to correct their own mistake.
At this point, I am out €900 and still do not have a functional couch.
The lack of organization, customer support, and respect for customers is unbelievable. I have already filed a complaint with ASAE and called more than 20 times trying to get this mistake corrected, yet I still have not received a proper resolution.
I would strongly advise anyone to avoid buying from this company.

I ordered a garden table and chairs from SKLUM on 17/04/26, hoping they would arrive before the start of summer. Unfortunately, the experience has been extremely disappointing.
The order wasn’t even shipped until 04/05/26 - over two weeks later - and I was then told delivery would take another 12–15 working days. More than a month after placing the order, the parcels still appear to be stuck in Valencia with the delivery company REDUR, which I had never even heard of before.
At this stage, it’s already summer in Ireland, and I’m wondering if I will ever receive my order. The delivery estimates provided by SKLUM are far too optimistic and clearly not realistic.
Very frustrating experience overall. I won’t be using SKLUM again.

I've ordered a 6 pieces modular garden sofa and a sideboard from Sklum. The promised delivery dates were spot on, I was happy about that. Anyway the sideboard was a mango wood Analis , the quality control was non existent. It was made in India, the material was very good but the fitting was really bad. There were four doors and the difference in height of the left two doors and the right two doors were 4 mm. Anyone could have spotted the difference! I got onto Sklum but it's just Ai trying to answer, after an hour I just gave up and rather than trying to get it returned I ended up taking the two doors apart and refitted them 4mm lower.
The Brivori sofas were made in Vietnam and they were beautifully put together ! Both the material and workmanship were excellent, I'm very happy with it!
Overall I think Sklum should improve on the customer service and quality checks on your supplier, it will be a shame if the design and materials were good but spoilt by poor workmanship!

I bought a nice dining table and I like it very much. However, one of the legs had a label attached to it that needed to be removed because it was very visible.
The label was glued on so strongly that it left a mark behind. I tried cleaning it, but the mark would not come off. I contacted Sklum for support and even asked if I could buy a spare part, but their response was that they do not sell replacement parts and would not provide support for this kind of issue.
Very disappointed with the service and support.
In my opinion, the high price of the furniture is not worth the risk of poor quality or issues like this, especially since there is no physical store where you can go to get things fixed.
You are completely on your own if any issues arise!

I ordered an item that was stated to be in “express delivery”. Item was supposed to be delivered latest 7th of May. They are using a weird shipment company I’ve never heard of before and there has been no updates in the shipment status since the first moment it was created.
I reached out to Sklum about it but only received generic responses, and they told they would get back to me with an update and never did. My payment has already been taken.
It feels like the brand is a scam for some items and not for some others.
