Very friendly and helpful staff at their Dublin city centre office. The pickup and drop off process went quite smooth and communication was good at all times. I had a flat tyre during my trip in Irela... See more

Ireland in Audi Q7
Renting an Audi Q7 (it was nice to see top-of-the-line Audis available again after so many years of BMWs) was a very positive experience; it’s certainly a significant expense, but it comes with Sixt’s guarantee of quality. The car was new, well-equipped without being fully loaded (I’ll admit that if there had been a sunroof in Ireland, we would have used it very little in the spring!), the tires were fine, and it was clean and comfortable. Check-in and return of the vehicle were less convenient than with other companies at Dublin Airport, as there is no separate office like at other airports (you have to return the keys to the office in the terminal, and then the rental return check cannot be completed at the time of parking). Minor issues, but they don’t change the excellent rating for Sixt staff. Thanks, and see you next time!
Great experience with Sixt
Great prices, pleasant staff and easy pick up and return. Excellent.
This is the second time that we have…
This is the second time that we have used Sixt and always found them very clear about the terms and conditions of use. In the past we have used other companies and discovered hidden charges especially around fuel useage which has ended up costing us not only a full tank of petrol but other penalties. We were fully covered for our trip and the pick up and drop off at Cork airport was very quick and easy. Will definitely use them again.
Pick-up at Dublin Centre
Pick-up at Dublin Centre, as the name says, central location, easy access.
Perfect car, low mileage.
Drop-off at Dublin airport, easy access, quick turnover, smooth transfer to the terminal.
Both at pick-up and drop-up good and friendly service of staff.
Absolutely recommend Sixt in Ireland.
sixth profiting from fuel protests
I used Sixth at Dublin Airport as the price of the rental was good. It was on the sixteenth of April just after the fuel protests. The person at the desk suggested that the fuel protests were continuing and that I should opt for the prepay fuel. I asked if I could decide later which is the usual option and I was told no. To avoid stress and based on what she had told me I opted for the prepaid fuel. I actually only used one eight so Sixth have made a profit and after speaking to my family in Dublin found what she had told me was not true. There was no problem in getting petrol. Also when I complained I was informed that for £10 euros I did actually I have the choice of deciding later. I believe that sixth are using the fuel protests as an opportunity to profit from customers. As a result of this I will be reluctant to use them again
Do not use nothing explained about what…
Do not use nothing explained about what the actual cost would be at the end of the hire
Paid on line the charged even more
Total rip off !!! Use another car hire company if your going to Dublin airport
If I could have left no stars I would have!!
Service with an Irish smile.
First time renting a car in ireland and comparing with the many other countries I have done the same, I found the service I got enjoyable, professional and friendly.
Thanks to all
Admin fee rip off
The vehicle was fine, but I had a terrible experience with a traffic violation. Apparently I drove 58kph in a 50 kph zone, and was fine 90 euros by the local authorities. Sixt then charged 39 EUROS as an "administrative fee", as per the fine print of my contract. Why 39 euros you ask? Did Sixt faciliate the payment to the authorities? No! Did they forward me a copy of the traffic violation? No! They simply sent me a form email, no doubt auto-generated, and charged 39 euros for traveling electrons. What a way to fleece a customer! I will using Sixt in the future.
AVOID - they tell lies, then deny it all. Crooks!
AVOID. Customer service is awful. They lie, then deny and are nothing sharks. Save yourself the hassle and go with a decent, trustworthy company - not these crooks.

The car had 4 dents.
The car had 4 dents.
And especially the communication regarding the fuel: that was simply misleading. The officer suggested not choosing the 'return full' option. There was trouble in Dublin, farmers and the transport sector had blocked fuel supply companies, and the officer told me that it might be difficult to get fuel and that Sixt therefore suggested having the tank filled there. It was not mentioned that by doing so, I was signing up for an expensive 'Prepaid Fuel' at 69.56 EUR. Knowing that I had previously filled the tank, which was 1/8 full, with 27 liters for 53 EUR, and that I returned the car 3/8 full and had to pay 69.56 EUR for it, you can understand why one feels cheated.
So helpful and nice

Best car rental
I was extremely lucky to rent a car through SIXT. I left my work phone in the car rental after returning it and getting to my gate at the airport. After calling them, they instantly responded and managed to get my phone to me in 15 minutes, meaning I got my phone and didn't miss my flight. Thank you so much to the guys at Dublin airport who managed to help me and with such speed and care. Thank you! Great service overall and the extra touch made me extremely satisfied

Scammers and crooks
1 star is too much. These guys are absolute scam artists. I booked online and paid with a credit card. They didn't release the car when we went to pick it up as the driver was not the one with the credit card. Tried to extort more money by adding the owner of the credit card as an extra driver. The manager was extremely rude and unhelpful. We did not get the booked car to rent and they still have not refunded my money. Luckily we walked straight into Budget who were brilliant and did not try any of the same scams so our holiday was not ruined. Would never use this firm again! And still trying to figure out how to get my money back from these crooks..
No HONEST transparency
I was informed on picking up the hire car ( originally through Expedia) at Dublin airport that the M50 toll was included in my price. Returned car, no issues and then received a charge for 9+ euros for the toll fee.
On contacting them, they insist I’m wrong and do not refund me.
Secondly, the car was returned on a Saturday, but they didn’t release the deposit charge on my credit card(1600euros) until the Wednesday.
The following Saturday, one week later, the charge is still held on my card.
On contacting them, I’m told it can take from 3-15 days for it to be cleared.
Absolutely ridiculous that this should happen, and not be informed of it anytime throughout the booking and return period.
