I have been a Select Blinds customer for about 11 years, and all the blinds in my home were purchased from them. Overall, I have always been very happy with their products. The quality is excellent and the ordering options are very good.
A couple of weeks ago, I purchased two new blinds, and they arrived exactly as expected. Installation was easy and everything worked perfectly — except for one important issue: one of the blinds is motorized.
This is where the nightmare started.
I downloaded the app and was able to connect the blind and control it from my phone. So far so good. However, I soon discovered some serious limitations:
The blind only works when my phone is connected to my home Wi-Fi network.
If I leave the house and switch to a different network, I cannot control the blind anymore.
The app also cannot be installed and used on another phone to control the blind.
In other words, the system only works from one phone on the same Wi-Fi network, which defeats much of the purpose of having a smart motorized blind.
To solve this, I purchased the Select Blinds bridge, which supposedly allows integration with Alexa, SmartThings, Google Home, and Apple Home using Matter. Unfortunately, when I attempted to set it up, the system asked for either a QR code or an 11–12 digit setup code that should be located on the bottom of the bridge or on the box. That code simply is not there.
There were two QR codes included with the blinds, but those are only for pairing the blind with the mobile app. They do not work for connecting the bridge.
I intentionally did not purchase the remote control because it costs about $50, and the whole point of smart blinds is to control them through your phone or voice assistants like Alexa. However, the reality is that without the remote — and without a functioning bridge — the system is extremely limited.
It feels like a manufacturer that makes blinds tried to enter the smart-home automation space without fully understanding what automation requires.
I called customer support this morning and unfortunately the experience did not help. The representative I spoke with did not seem to understand the issue and kept suggesting that I use the two QR codes that came with the blind — which, again, are not intended for connecting the bridge.
If the system actually requires the remote control to function properly, that should be clearly stated. Right now it is marketed as optional, but in practice it seems necessary.
After 11 years of being a satisfied customer, this has been a very disappointing experience with the motorized product and smart integration.

This Is second time we’ve ordered and both times it was seamless - easy to order on website, great product and shipping was quick. Ordered (2) Premier Woven Wood Shades in Georgetown for a very large dining room window. They match perfectly and are beautiful. Cordless lift works very well, even on large blinds. We ordered same ones a year ago for our kitchen and they have held up very well.

These up/down black out blinds are the 2nd round we have ordered from Selctblinds. We loved the look of the faux wood blinds, but was ready for an upgrade in the house. All bedrooms slowly transitioning to these up downs for style and functionality. Awesome product. Great prices. Quick shipping. Easy install.

We damaged one of the blinds during installation. Totally our fault and at our cost, but Select Blinds quickly reordered a replament at the sale price and specs from the original order. The blinds fit perfectly, look great, good quality. We are completely satisfied with Select Blinds and will order again!

I ordered roller light filtering blinds trying to match previous order colour, thinking I was ordering same thing . Received the blinds, they were not as expected, the material has a white backing that when rolled up even a little show a white roll across the top looking ugly. Also the blind is not spring loaded, like the other ones were, you have to manually push it up every time you want it to go up. I called customer service and was told it is what it is, there is nothing they can do and was asked if i wanted to ORDER NEW blinds with 10% discount.

The price was good. Shipping fast. Exactly what I ordered. My only complaint is the name I gave the blinds didn’t completely show up on them. So two of the windows were backwards when I installed them. But not a huge problem.

I’m having an extremely frustrating experience with this company. I received a faulty item and what should have been a simple replacement turned into weeks of back and forth. I have to repeatedly follow up just to get basic updates, and despite being told the replacement would be sent, it keeps getting delayed.
Instead of resolving the issue quickly, I was asked for additional photos and information long after the problem had already been clearly explained. I feel like I have to practically beg just to have the replacement shipped.
Customer service should make things right when something arrives defective, not drag the process out for weeks. This experience is disappointing and unnecessarily stressful, and it has definitely made me think twice about ordering from this company again.

I recieved a call about my online order to let me know there was a cheaper option available and they corrected my order and refunded the difference. They didn't have to do that. I would have never known. But it speaks volumes about their customer service and loyalty. I've since sent two other friends to purchase blinds and will be purchasing more in the coming weeks. The 24 hour window after ordering is so smart. As expected, we needed to revise the initial measurements. I called in and the gentlemen that took my call was super helpful. He asked that I stay on the phone until I received the modified order confirmation to ensure accuracy. The blinds came earlier than expected and were perfect! Highly recommended the easy hang system. Great purchase!

The color of the blinds was very far off the website color. Does not really help to order a sample. But they don't accept returns for colors.

The blinds were delivered as expected and we were able to install them. However, one of the vertical slats does not hang properly. We tried the correction methods sent from the company but they did not work. The company is sending a new track. This means everything will need to be reinstalled. Through this process - the customer service has been excellent.
Ordering was easy and shipping as quick. My only hiccup is that I ordered a matching set of blinds with blackout liners, and one of them leaks light through the stitch holes and the other does not.
