I like all that Seattle Pottery Supply… but
I like all that Seattle Pottery Supply has to offer in their online store. However, I ordered some Fire Clay and had it shipped to my home in Idaho. Shipping was double the cost of the Fire Clay. When I placed the order it indicated 1-2 day shipping, at the time I thought it was worth the price. The order ended up taking 4 business days to ship so I had the order recalled because I needed it in 2 days. The amount for clay was refunded but I was charged the full price for shipping. It would have been really nice if Seattle Pottery Supply split the shipping cost with me because it took longer than indicted on their website and was double the cost of the product. That is a lot out of pocket. I received nothing for the $60 I spent:/ Even a store credit for $30 would have been better than nothing.
Delivery was quick
Delivery was quick! The box got scrunched and the underglaze leaked, but it was wrapped in plastic and didn't become a mess. I didn't lose much glaze either.
My ceramic needs are just a phone call away.
Always easy to make a telephone order. Fast turnaround.
Seattle makes it so easy!
fast shipping

Seattle Pottery Supply Rocks
Seattle Pottery is a great place to get supplies for a home hobby potter. Great supply. Great website. Great communication while waiting for a delivery. I've never had a bad experience with SPS. They are my go-to for glazes and clay.
Fast shipping and excellent customer service!
I live in Oregon and I’m thrilled with how quickly my shipped and with the safe packaging and quality products!
So far thrilled with Seattle Pottery Supply!
The ordering experience for Seattle…
The ordering experience for Seattle Pottery was frustrating. I placed an order, but then continued to receive email alerts that my items were in my "basket" and I needed to complete the checkout. I received one "completed transaction" email, but the other kept coming. Order was a rush, but arrived to late to use. Ordered 9/24/25 and was delivered 10/7/25. UPS shows the order wasn't shipped until 10/6/25, so company didn't have the stock in hand and had to order it in. With all the email I received it would have been good to get one telling me the the order was taking longer than usual. I ordered from this company because they are local to me and I like to keep my purchases local if possible.
Happy with my purchase
Seattle Pottery Supply had what I wanted and sent it to me quickly and for a great price!
As Good As It Gets
I have been ordering from SPS since I moved to Washington in July 2024. I like their glazes much better than the popular commercial brands. They are beautiful, easy to apply and I have never run into pinhole or running issues with them. I can't decide which clay I like the best, but I am satisfied with continuing to use SPS clay for all my pottery. I have tried the Klamath and Vashon varieties. Very easy to work with- very "sturdy." I'd like to try Fools Gold, but being inland closer to Spokane than Seattle, the shipping costs are very hard for me to afford (not their fault). The staff has been excellent in communicating whenever I have a question. In an idea world, I could hop over to pick things up in person.
