Good negoctiaions and price and quiality

Seats & Sofas advices us to resale their couch on Markplaats, if we encountering problems with it.
Worst custom support ever!

We ordered a custom California couch from Seats and Sofa in Den Haag in June 2026, sized shorter after we measured our own hallway and staircase. The salesperson assured us: "No problem, no one has ever had an issue with this model on the stairs."

The couch arrived for delivery in the second week of September, after weeks of production. The delivery employee, who came alone, was the first person to say it would never make it up our staircase because of the angle, despite Seats and Sofa having our exact measurements from day one. The worst here: the delivery company added this happens regularly, and Seats and Sofa knows it but does nothing about it.

We called immediately, offering to return the couch at our own cost for one that would fit. An employee, a manager, that manager's manager, and finally the "big boss" all said no: "This is custom, we cannot resell it, and you've already paid , so for us it's considered delivered," even though the couch never left the delivery truck. Their only answer to being stuck with an unusable couch: sell it ourselves on Marktplaats.

Once you dig into why this happens, it stops looking like bad luck and starts looking like a business model built so the company never has to own the outcome, operating for the following scheme:

1. Delivery is outsourced, so nobody is accountable.
The delivery company only handles A-to-B transport, they have no authority to resolve fit issues, and Seats and Sofa uses that as a shield. "Not our responsibility"

2. You pay in full before it's ever actually delivered. So when something goes wrong, we received an honest answer is: "You already paid the couch fully, so for us it's a closed case"

3. Buying in-store quietly waives your return rights.
Nobody tells you this upfront, but ordering in the shop instead of online strips away the return policy you'd otherwise have. Seats & Sofa has noreturn policy for the items bought in the store.

4. The constant "21% off, this week only" signage.
In hindsight, this reads less like a genuine promotion and more like pressure to sign fast before you've had time to think it through.

Avoid this company, if you don't want to end up paying more then 1k for the couch and having absolutely no rights.

The worst communication the just want to sell sofas and that’s it .
I been there last February to buy a sofa and I bought it for my bad sake and I asked for them to keep it in their storage and they said it’s ok for them after a week I send delivery company to pick up for me ( I paid with my own money )
And no sofa they didn’t have it at all!!!!
So I lost my delivery money I needed to waited 2 months more for one sofa supposed to be in their storage and in the end????
They don’t want to give my money for sofa back of course I will speak with the lawyer and it’s not gonna happen their fault and they’re not accepting it !!!I JUST LOST MY MONEY !!! No no no very but management very bad sellers one sofa starring pricing 300 and they want desperate to sell it and it give you for the half price in the end imagine quality!

We came to choose a sofa for our new house, and after a few hours we finally did.
They have many options, you can try them on, customise it, and get the colors that you want, and the staff is very kind, helpful and answered to all of our questions, also provided recommendations on the options we had and based on our needs, until we finally choose one sofa, and so far we are very happy with it. They are very respectful and they give you the space to think about it and get back to you when requested.
The place, the staff and the quality of services and products is excellent.
We highly recommend the store!

Good customer service. Anna is a great marketer and salesperson. She walked me through all the sofa options, which helped me make a good choice. It's best to visit their store so you can try out the sofas and find what suits you best. Sofas can be tailored to meet your specifications.

Toen we de winkel in Den Haag binnenliepen, kwam er een vrouw naar ons toe met de woorden: "Goedemorgen, kan ik u helpen?" We antwoordden dat we alleen nog maar wat inspiratie zochten. Ze zei meteen: "Als u iets nodig heeft, sta ik voor u klaar!" We waren op zoek naar een tweezitsbank en de vrouw (Anna) liet ons er een zien en vertelde ons over de speciale aanbieding die ze hadden vanwege de opening van de winkel! Uiteindelijk vonden we onze tweezitsbank en betaalden we ervoor, met de afspraak dat de levering 10 tot 12 weken zou duren. Dat was voor ons prima, want we wilden van onze oude bank af! Anna, je was erg behulpzaam en de service was geweldig!

When we enter the shop in The Hague a woman approaches with good morning can I help you! We answered we are just looking for an idea! Straight she said if you need anything I’m here! We were looking for a two seater and the woman (Anna) showed us and told us of the special that was offered because of opening a new shop! In the end we found our two seater and paying for it with the understanding that it’s in 10 to 12 week what for us was agreeable because we need to get rid of our old settee! Anna you were very helpful and great service!

We had a nice experience with very polite, smart and talented Sales lady. She guided us well based on our preference which led us to buy 2 sofa sets together. Kudos to the felixble team who even stayed till late to complete our billing process although the closing time was already past.
