When I accessed tracking and saw references to US locations - first I assumed it was a mistake, and when I realised the rugs were being shipped from across the pond I resigned myself to problems and delays, as reported in some reviews. How wrong I was. The rugs arrived on time and were precisely as advertised and photographed. Tracking was detailed and helpful. Excellent service all round. Very happy.

Avoid. So many things wrong with this company:
1. Rug was advertised with medium pile, but a thin mat arrived with no pile at all (flatwoven)
2. Had to send it to Switzerland for the return at a cost of £26, which irugs (the owning company) have refused to reimburse,
3. This turns out to be because they are not UK based at all! They are US based, so this is not part of their business model.
4. The return was received by them nearly 2 weeks ago, but I haven't even had the price of the rug refunded. They are telling me I received it 8 days ago. Not true.
It's high time that companies using .co.uk domains had to prove a UK base and therefore adherence to UK laws.
Disgusting.

They don't let you know in advance that the rugs are shipped from the US even though the website is a UK website. UPS delivery has my rug stuck in customs for over a month. Absolutely Atricious!!!

Quick service ordering, product looks good and a bargain

Beware the photos are misleading on colour saturation and quality and they basically do not offer refunds or returns, but pretend they do on their website. Not an honest company.

I received a faulty rug with a very visible crooked seam on one side and was absolutely threadbare. Contacted returns and was told to ship back at my own cost to either Switzerland or USA and then they only offer a partial refund. I was offered to use their FedEx account for a cost of £55 for the label subtracted from my refund amount. I was then told I could have £19 refunded or £29 store credit when I paid £69 for the rug. When I complained about the atrocious return policy and sent photos of the crooked rug, I was offered a partial refund of £30. Please note that when I sent an email to them to the email address listed on their site trying to arrange a return, it was blocked every time. I had to use the chat function on their website.

Overall, horrible experience and feel scammed.

Easy ordering

Bought a rug which wasn't the same as picture. Cost £59, they wanted £55 to return it. The company are fraudsters using a uk internet address but returns are going to USA. Do not use unless you will be happy with whatever you receive.

Experience was excellent very simple and straightforward.

There is a great selection of rugs with most, if not all, offered in different shapes and multiple sizes and some with various colour options. All at good prices and free delivery.
Easy process and quick payment procedure.
Good description with details of thickness of pile, softness, washability, colour description if more than one colour, etc. Also option of including any questions you may have.
Delivery to Northern Ireland available, which is great as some companies will not deliver to here or other islands off the UK.

Absolutely rubbish very poor quality I could of brought a rug from pound land and it would of been of better quality and to return you have to pay postage to USA 😡

Fantastic shop for rugs! Amazing selection at really low prices. Free delivery is always a bonus too!

Do not waste your time with this company. I ordered a rug based on their website description and photos of what should have been a light cream colour rug. What I got was a grey/brown rug that had a shine to it and looked cheap and nasty. It looked nothing like the photo on their website.

For a company called rugs.co.UK the returns address is Switzerland at a very hefty cost to the customer. They offer you a partial refund which is minimal or store credit which is even smaller. For a rug that cost £119 (in the sale) they want to give me £24 store credit or £60 refund.

Absolutely shocking customer service and highly recommend you avoid at all costs.

Update as of 7 August 2025 - this company have chosen to ignore my emails now after hounding me with scripted messages about standard refund/return rules. I sent them a photo of both rugs - the one delivered and the one ordered to show them they were not the same product nor were they the same colour. Radio silence. Be very wary of dealing with this company.

And now they have blocked my emails. Time to seek legal advice.

I bought a very large 240x305 cm rug for our living room. It was only £149. I was expecting some cheap rubbish to be honest, but it is only needed temporarily whilst we await new flooring in this area. I have to say I am very impressed with the quality for that money, honestly I was not expecting it. The cat and dog hairs are vacuuming off easily, which is not usual with cheap rugs that often hold on to the hairs. The one problem, which is why I'm not giving 5 stars, is the fact that it was folded when delivered, rather than rolled. This resulted in the need to use a floor steam cleaner to go over it multiple times to relax the creases, it's still got some kinks which I'm hoping will flatten in time. If I could give the retailer any advice itwould be to send the rugs rolled, even if further costs on postage are required, it would be worth it.

★☆☆☆☆ SCAM COMPANY – AVOID AT ALL COSTS

Absolute scammers. I placed an order for a rug on the 18th and 10 days later, still nothing. They falsely claim it was delivered, yet I received nothing. When I contacted their so-called “customer service,” I was told they won’t issue a refund, and the agent hung up on me mid-call. Disgusting behaviour and completely unprofessional. I’ve never dealt with a more dishonest company. DO NOT BUY from them unless you want to lose your money.

Fast and straight forward website to use from selection to payment.

Terrible quality, and have to return to Switzerland ! At my own cost, why Switzerland ? Came from USA, so why is it rugs.uk??? Disgusting that this can happen, where is the customer care/protection?

Easy site to use and I have already been impressed with the quality of rugs and the delivery service.
