Can I leave a minus 10 review my wife brought a $150 dollar belt from them for me at Christmas it has been worn around 12 times in total and the tanning / dye is peeling off. Took it into Macquarie Shopping Centre store to complain we told it had to go interstate to view I said what you can see it peeling their reply oh but yoo added extra holes (holes are closer to the buckle the peeling is at the other end of the belt. Played for a fool by two young so clever stooges BUt as soon as I said to one that perhaps if he did some exercise he might have to add some holes too Oh no its ok to make fun of an old man but not for the old man to fire back at them, Sorry RM is now a has been relying on its former reputation for people like me from the bush.
In comparison I brought a pair of shoes from Florsheim and it ended up they did not fit I took them back a month later and they exchanged them sadly the next pair same thing and they exchanged them too Now this is what I call service and RM is a sad parody of what used to be a great company would I buy from them again never would I recommend them no not even to my worst enemy.

R M Williams a once iconic Australian brand, now a load of rubbish!
I see many negative reviews about their once great products. My issue is with their customer service, failure to honour their promise of giving a discount for your birthday. Despite my partner and I spending a lot of money on their products they denied the discount as they said we should have advised them 1 month earlier despite being a member for over s year. Dont trust R M Williams, and wont but their products any more!
Poor Quality
Well, I used to once think RM Williams were worth the money, now it's just cheap rubbish.
There boots are nothing like they used to be, definitely not worth the money they ask for and I doubt I'll ever purchase a pair again.
Even the the boot repair place said the inners they use and the quality is gone and has been for a while now.
Sad to see the company taking shortcuts, yet still charging the same dollar.
I've even noticed there Long Horn stickers we would put on the rear window's of our utes has become terrible, Went thru 3 of them trying to achieve having one on the back of a new ute, on the 3rd attempt we actually paid for a sign place to do it as we started thinking it was us that was doing it wrong. But Nope, as the guy explained to us it was just a terrible vinyl that's now used and the sticker has trouble even leaving the top layer.
Not sure what is going on with this company these days, I used to be proud wearing and purchasing there products. Unless things change back, I won't be going back.
Quality is worse than garbage
Quality is worse than garbage and service is worse! This pair of comfort craftsman blew apart within 12 months and the first time I took them back to Salisbury for repair they said that it was a manufacturing fault and repaired free of charge, this is now the second time in 3 years and I'm told it's because they are "worn'" and it isn't a fault this time. Trying to slug me $285 for a repair. For a $650 pair of boots you're better off buying several pairs of blundtstones or another brand. Plenty of reviews and videos of how terrible the quality is now compared to 20yrs ago. I love to support Aussie made but this is just garbage now.
OUTSTANDING PEOPLE AND PRODUCTS!!!
I have had outstanding service by the staff at RML London (New Bond Street). I had an issue with some boots (mine, not the quality of the boots themselves). The staff was friendly and help and ensured the situation was rectified. Cerys and Nargis (the manager) were terrific. And the boots are GREAT!!!!

The website was really poor and failed to update .Order was nearly re £2000.Four days later get response saying oh item now out of stock .Thus is is not acceptable in todays stock ordering - stock ordered should be allocated at time of placement .Delivery unacceptable on timeline .Item funnily enough in stock in new store ! - I am beginning to wonder why I still want to buy this may now be end of my relationship- they had to offer me a deal to place this order and have severely failed in delivery and I would say communication .So now a further update another item now not being shipped and it's Christmas Eve ! 10 days to notify from order - totally unacceptable- no other company works this way.
AWFUL - no refund!
Returned a pair of boots last week, Royal Mail tracking advises they have been received and signed for. No updates provided from RM Williams, and of course - no sign whatsoever of my REFUND. Impossible to contact them from the UK - unless you are awake all night. Which would be impossible for most people who purchase from this company, given most will be working in order to be able to pay the massive price tag. If the refund is not back in my account by tomorrow I'll have to escalate to Visa. Complete disgrace for a company that is selling items in this price bracket.

At the moment I would give Zero stars if I could ...Purchased Boots 1st week of December with a promise of 5 day delivery Order is still not processed they're live chat ...customer service phone number and every level of contact is down, when I try to track order via DPD Belgium is all that comes up...Very disappointed when you consider the price of the goods involved... I think I'm also going to have a nightmare cancelling order and getting my money back however paid via Visa so will be making complaint through them
Misleading Promotions and Poor Customer Service
Unfortunately, my experience with R.M. Williams has been incredibly disappointing. I made a purchase based on a promotion for a free hat, which turned out to be poorly communicated and difficult to redeem. When I reached out to customer service, they were unwilling to resolve the issue or offer any meaningful alternative, instead shifting the blame to me for not selecting the promotion during checkout—something that wasn’t clearly explained.
As a new customer, I expected much better from a brand of this reputation. The lack of accountability and refusal to provide a fair resolution has left me feeling frustrated and undervalued. I can’t recommend R.M. Williams based on this experience and urge others to be cautious about their promotions and service.
I placed an order mid November and the order still hasn’t been processed.
Update (15/12/24) - order still waiting to be processed!! If the order is delayed, why can’t they communicate that? The fact that I have heard nothing, I have to assume nothing is coming? 🤷🏼♀️
I placed an order mid November and still haven’t received the goods. After checking the order status, it appears to have not been processed yet. I have tried contacting RM Williams via the customer service email address given on their web page. The email gets knocked back! I have also tried ringing though, no answer. Is there a UK customer service number that I’m not aware of? Very disappointing considering my husband has purchased many pairs on boots in the past. How are we suppose to get in touch with this company?
More than poor customer service
I had a discount coupon for 10% and was told I could use it for click and collect, by email The code didn’t work as advised by the customer service ambassador. I emailed the customer service ambassador several times, with no reply. Two weeks later I received a reply stating that there was no longer any stock in store so click and collect was no longer an option. No remedy was provided. I think I have only ever written a handful of public complaints in my lifetime. This one takes the cake! Very annoyed to say the least. False advertising - RM Williams.

I will now have to go back to the credit card company to get a refund from them.
Worst purchase of my life
I bought a pair of their signature boots. Cost me 5000 SEK (around 500 USD). Most expensive shoes I ever bought. So I only used them on special occasions.
Which is why it took me some time to find out that they leak like a sieve. Which means the return period ran out.. and now I'm stuck with them.
So, I have a good looking pair of boots that can only be used in spring or autumn, when I know it's not gonna rain. (They're too hot for summer, too cold for winter.)
Probably my crappiest purchase ever.
Terrible boots and Awful After Sales Service
Terrible boots and shockingly bad after sales service. I brought a pair of Crafan boots in July 24. They start to fall apart in September.
I have tried to teach RM Williams via email, WhatsApp and call. I have had no response.

I’ve been a regular customer of RM Williams, but my recent experience has left me very disappointed. I received a gift card for the store, but every time I tried to use it, the popular jeans in my size were out of stock.
When I contacted customer service via online chat to request a refund for the gift card, I was informed that it is non-refundable. Frustrated but willing to make the best of it, I ordered two pairs of jeans that were somewhat similar to what I wanted, redeeming the gift card and paying the rest with my credit card.
To my dismay, only one pair arrived, and I received an email stating the second pair was also out of stock. They returned the funds to my gift card, leaving me in a difficult position. I called customer service again, hoping for a resolution, but was told that because part of the purchase was made with the gift card, they couldn’t refund it to my credit card or in cash. Despite expressing my dissatisfaction, the agent suggested I email my concerns to another team, which felt like a dismissive response after my numerous attempts to resolve the issue.
As a premium brand, I expected better customer service. I’ll be trying to use the gift card for another style of jeans that I’m not particularly interested in, but after this drawn-out experience, I’m inclined to look for alternatives moving forward. I cannot recommend RM Williams based on my experience and am very disheartened by the lack of care that this once great Australian brand shows to its customers.
