I purchased a lovely pair of RM Williams chinos last year, fitted lovely and were of good quality (Made in Madagascar)
I have just bought a pair of Berwick chino's (£115) from a very reputable supplier.
These are made in China, they fit , but, not a good fit, they are lower on the hip, very small pockets and just not as good as the first pair. the quality is no where near the same. I will not be purchasing any more RM Williams clothing again. if I wanted a product of this quality "Made in China"I can go elsewhere and get the same quality at a 3rd of the price. Very disappointed!!!
If you want chinos at a 3rd of the price and as good, go to Landsend.

I was a loyal customer for many years, but the quality has dropped off and, compared to the online UK, the RM Williams brand presents very poor value for money. The final straw was a checked shirt that cost about $300 and had a frayed collar after less than a year. I have probably owned five pairs of the boots over the years, but for the same price you can buy Carmina boots that are far better quality. I'm an Australian, but this brand, has become a bit of an embarrassment.

I bought a baseball cap from Nicholls Abergavenny, the quality is very poor.
After 1 30° 30 minute wash the colour has gone from black to an horrible grey.
Certainly not worth the money.

Bought a pair of Boots from their Store here in Brisbane. I wasn't overly satisfied with the Staff member, seemed to confident that the Boot size she said was right for my feet would stretch and be more comfortable in time, I stated I usually am a larger size and she told me not to be concerned.
I have bad knees and have struggled getting these Boots on and off, and generally require the assistance of someone to help me, as they are tight, beyond comprehension!
I have been to their Stores, and in getting nowhere touched base with them directly.
Well, what a waste of time, they want to stretch my Boots and at a cost, which I disagree to pay.
I have since been into a Store and had my sizing done again and consequently tried on her selection, which fitted amazingly wonderful lets say, easy on and off, and snug.
I asked her if I can try on the size that I already had, she replied that would be too small, and we tried anyway, I struggled to get it on, consequently proving to myself that I was originally advised incorrectly.
Now my point is, not the quality of the Boot, I honestly couldn't say at this point in time if it would last or not, as I have stopped wearing them, it's with them not backing up their mistake, which is very obvious to me, they made one, poorly trained Staff possibly.
Also they certainly take their time in getting back to you, again, another bad mark in my book.
I have a Company, and would bend over backwards to get this right, the facts are there, so much for Customer satisfaction, out the door with this mob, absolutely terrible service, shameful.

Bought boots a few years ago, sole has completely deteriarated, split and fallen off. Rubbish for what I paid for them. Do yourself a favour and buy yourself some Redwings.

The Manager at the WA Claremont store is the rudest man I have ever met.RM Williams quality has been getting steadily worse and they do not adhere to their warranty claims . Rip off for poor quality merchandise

I bought the white sneakers on website in France last year 2023. I was so happy with the look & fit I think I wrote a nice review. Unfortunately after spending 270€ to buy something special the shoes sole has failed after year 1 ! I have written to RM Williams to pass on my feedback & they reviewed my complaint & this is what I received back. Apparently I wear the shoes too much, LOL see below.
Unfortunately, from the photos, it appears the soles have had significant wear and use.
We do not have any reports of premature sole wear for this product. We do not agree there is any fault with the sneakers and are unable to offer a replacement.

How could RM Williams have feedback on one year old shoes. Maybe I am the first of many people with "sole of shoe issue"
I have now aksed for replacement sole to add to my shoes myself via my bootmaker. This company has an amazing following in Australia because of there quality products. The white Sneaker has a long way to go to .......get customers respect

£399 pair of boots. One boot is discoloured. If both were then that’s ok but why just one? I appealed to them all the way in Australia and gave them lots of chances to refund or replace. Apparently nothing to do with them. Appalling customer care. Never ever buy from them.

Very disappointed in this company. Bought a pair of boots on a trip to Australia, bought them in the suitcase (no box because it wouldn’t fit) got them home and they’ve given me the wrong boots. Receipt clearly says I bought one size - not the size I have. Their answer? Sorry, you don’t have the box so we can’t help you! What a shocking attitude.

Just bought a briefcase during the xmas sales and it's awesome! The quality is top notch and the package arrived in a beautiful box, the item was well protected and overall the experience was great.
Highly recommend this brand, cost is high but so is the quality

Wonderful staff at Harbourside outlet, but.
I bought new wallet. Card pockets so tight I can’t get cards in (and if I do, can’t get them out before tap-it expires).
Really not good enough for $159 item!

Their shoes are fine, there return process is terrible. I've returned my order a month ago, and have proof that the package was delivered. However, I still haven't received my refund. Apparently their international returns partner lost the package.. and now they make me wait for my money

I have bought a RM Williams lady Yearling boots that i found the size was too small and i returned the boots since 29 Nov 2023 but they have not refunded the money as the boots is still in transit. What on earth that domestic shipping takes forever like this!!! Very disappointing RM Williams!

I have worn Rm Williams boots everyday for 40 years. I am over them these days, they have gone rubbish.My son said the same. So sad. I haven’t tried any other boots but I will give these a go!.
Also I have two Rm Williams croc belts as does my son. So that’s 4 and all of them have the back leather lining coming of 😞😡.
RM has turned rubbish .

Now to the recent complaints My son and my wife and I approx 6 months ago bought a pair each. The leather Is bubbling and peeling badly. I hope you (Rmw) guys can resolve this with us. These were purchased at the stable door, Traralgon 3844 Vic.

The worst customer service by 3 disengaged brand ambassadors who really didn’t care if you purchased and certainly were not going to stop gossiping or move from behind the counter to assist… if I had time and didn’t love the product so much I would have gone to another RM Williams store to purchase!!! I have never walked out of an RM Williams store buying only one item …. I did tonight 😫
Shame on the 3 guys working in this store tonight, it wasn’t busy , it’s Christmas and this is the time to capture sales and sign customers up …. very sad that such an iconic brand does not have people that are passionate about the product and want to help customers at least in this store,

Staff on Thursday night 7/12/23 absolutely abhorrent.
Not one of the three retail staff asked if we needed any help, in walked another couple and over walked one staff member to 'serve' them.
I tried to engage with a staff member in regards to the items we wanted to purchase, she wasn't interested!!! RUDE RUDE. We get better service in Target. The staff member knew NOTHING about RMW products.
We will NEVER go back into that store again.
Over heard the staff member who actually served the other couple, telling them she knew nothing about RMW. So that's 2 out of 3..... SHAME. We won't recommend that store to any of our overseas friends visiting next yr.
Educate your staff on RMW and the products.

First order, a wallet, delivered to me in a large box. Inside was a grubby white pull string bag and a wallet in a plastic bag. No gift box/packaging. After approx 6 emails to customer service, I was sent the gift box.
2nd order, a men’s belt, again not gift box but even though I had emailed twice at time of order to ensure such was included.
Customer service advised me that I could pick up wrapping and a box in store. This totally defeats the purpose of an online order.
Maybe if they cut back on the expense of the delivery box they could include the gift packaging. Looks pretty ordinary as a gift in a plastic bag and pull string cover.

A customer of 10 years, no longer.

Customer service is staffed by illiterates or the incredibly dim.

Emailed because the website one is directed to, to generate a return label does not work.

First was directed to return via Australia Post (when I live in UK). When I flagged this, I was directed back to the faulty web page.

After a month they finally produced a single return label.

When I pointed out to them that the order was dispatched in 3 separate boxes, they directed me to commit postal fraud by (get this) photocopying the prepaid postage label 2 more times.

Hopeless and pathetic. After 4 emails, I am none the wiser as to how to make a return.

At this price point inexcusable.

I am a little surprised at the reviews of RM Williams on this site. I purchased my first pair of yearling boots from the Bond St store about 7 years ago and they are still going strong. I have recently bought another 90th anniversary pair in the same size and they are progressing well (I have found the elastic sides take a while to loosen up). My most recent purchase are a pair of Lachlan boots, as they have the rubber sole, for rainy days. Unlike 83% of the posts here I have found all of my RMW purchases to be very high quality and well worth the cost.
