I order an item that is red in color…
I order an item that is red in color but came in as light pink/fuchsia. I asked for refund or discount as I didn't received exactly what I ordered based on the photos from their website. Customer service insisting I received the correct item. I think they need to get their eyes checked. They don't know what is the difference between red and light pink.
Solid experience
First read a the negative reviews on here, then some positve ones on Reddit so I thought I'd just try it for myself.
Shipping was reasonably fast! There were delays and they notified me immediately, but it was only delayed by 2 days so nothing major in terms of international shipping.
Everything was well packaged and arrived safely.
The prices were really great too compared with local shops!
I will definitely be ordering from them again in the future!
Edit: Did end up ordering again soon after and again I am very satisifed with their services. RHD is going to be one of my regular places to look for parts now.
warranty CANNOT be covered outside of Japan
bought a set of new coilover, and it leaks, here is what they say when I'm trying to apply for warrany:
'We received a response from the seller regarding your warrenty.
The seller says since it is used out side of Japan, the warrenty will not be accepted.
You will be able to purchase just the shock at around 95,000 yen however it takes about another month and a half if you wish to order.'
Why you sell items oversea when the warranty is not covered overseas?
Biggest scammer in the JDM parts industry
These guys are the biggest scammers in the Japanese parts industry! They advertise parts on their website as being in stock, when in fact they DO NOT have the parts in stock and in some cases the parts are even DISCONTINUED by the OE manufacturer. I bought and paid for an $800 part on their website, two weeks later they tell me it's discontinued, then they take another 2 weeks to refund my money, AND they charged me a fee on the refund. Don't waste your time and money trying to buy anything from RHDJapan (or their other name BidJDM). I wish I'd read the reviews on Trustpilot before dealing with RHDJapan. Never again!
2 week shipping became 1 year, price changed 3 times.
I ordered 2500 worth of parts in December of 2022 and the shipping said it would be 2 weeks. After 2 weeks went by, they said they were "holding my order" and required a 25% price increase as there was a revision to the parts directly from the manufacturer.
I paid the increase and heard nothing from them (again) for another SIX MONTHS. They sent me ANOTHER price increase asking for more money and stated they were again "holding" my order. I have asked them for a full refund and will never order from them again. Someone needs to open a law suit against them. This is unbelievable. I've now wasted a year of my time for parts that never arrived.

A stain on Japan.
I must say I am quite disappointed that a Japanese company would have such terrible business ethics as in my experience they're generally professional with a great culture. However RHD Japan does not deserve to be put in this class. I purchased an exhaust system and had not had an update for over a week, I reached out requesting a estimated dispatch date; no reply, sent a manual email to them. No reply. At this point I was a bit more blunt and mentioned I would need to go back to paypal if they were not going to respond to my question. What did they do? canceled my order and said they're closed and that there is nobody to communicate with me.. what the fish? I never asked to cancel it I just wanted to know when it was being shipped. Someone's had a dummy spit over a question? So because of this I got penalised $100AUD for the paypal return. So I was out of pocket. I strongly advise not to deal with this company and to actually trust these likeness reviews below. What a horrible business to deal with.
Untrustworthy, they increase prizes after you ordered
I ordered parts from this seller. I paid right at the checkout, thankfully via Paypal.
About 40 hours later, i got an email, that "my action is required". I logged in and "my action" would have been to pay 25% more money. They claim that the price has been changed.
But thats not my problem.
I opened a case to cancel the full order and requested a delete of my personal data and the uiser account.
This Business practie is not trustworthy, and i would never buy there again.
And neither should you.
I bought a defective Tomei item
I bought a defective Tomei item, never used and sent it back to have a guarantee but once it arrived from rhd japan they didn't want to give me my money back. they told me that in their opinion the piece was perfect and therefore I also had to pay for shipping to have it returned to Italy. really a bad experience with rhd japan and with tomei first and foremost who considers a camshaft correct that is imperfect by 0.07mm…no words
Absolutely horrible and untrustworthy
Absolutely horrible and untrustworthy. They are masters in showing you low prices but then increasing them after the fact because they know you will still likely pay since you already got the order in.
Then they often consolidate your packages even without you asking. So you end up losing boxes of stuff and more often than not they forget to include something that was in the box. When you contact them they play like you are lying and they simply won't help. I have been missing the install hardware for things before and they would not do anything.
Stay far away from this place. They are just here to take your money.
rip you off
Rhdjapan announced on Mid Oct that Mugen's product prices revise on 25th Oct, I placed and paid my order on 23rd Oct with wise payment. I have confirmed that they have received the payment from wise on 23rd. I have sent them a help desk ticket with evidence of my payment on 24th as my order was still pending a day after I placed. now 25th they replied and asked me to pay extra money as Mugen prices revised!!!

Alright what I ordered was RS-R Coilovers for my lexus nx. I only chose from RHDJapan bc they were selling the coilovers for a good price compared to the other websites. Saved about $700. The total came out to be ¥197,672. I was hesitant abt the company but when i saw the past experience from the civic forums and lexus forums, i started to believe they were legit and they are.

I'm from the U.S. So the package to come from overseas, clearance was quick. According to Ups barely took an hour or two. The package was well taken care of. You just gotta be patience and wait for the order to come.
The process was quick, you just gotta worry abt price increases. Although I didn't have to deal with the customer service, the process was quick and easy. I will most likely buy from RHDJapan again because the cheap prices and good service.

I've ordered few parts and few days later after payment done an email was sent by RHD requesting extra money to cover the difference in price.
The website displayed due to Yen become weak there is a high number of orders and delays will occur.
I was charged in AUS dollar not in Yen and RHD still wanted more money.
Paid the extra to cover the costs of the parts.
A week past and no updates and where is the parts. I've sent an email to the customer service and 24hs later a reply was made but what i've asked was not answered which it was what it the ETA.
2 weeks later and an update says some items are in but we are waiting in another item.
3 weeks later and all items are in. Now i expect as everyone the items would be shipped right away but nothing has happen until the week after.
I requested a photo of the items packed and the customer service said it has been shipped but there is no track number and there isn't any update. A day after the update show up.
Terrible experience and delays and customer service take its time.
NEVER AGAIN.
To end RHD choose on my behalf DHL to be the broker to clear the goods from customs without any notice. The tax it should be 10% and ended up in double with DHL fees to clear the goods which would never happen if i had an option to use another company to ship to Australia.
Check the RHD reviews before you place an order and there are many other way to purchase goods from japan without have middle man companies that sell you items that are no in stock and ask for extra money to cover their mistake. w

Ridiculous customer service - staff informed me it’s a threat that I asked about the lead time (and I might cancel if it’s too long of a wait). And his decision was to cancel my order directly without even getting back to me regarding the lead time.

Same problem as Andy Tan. I received an email 20 July confirming my Order of 22 July ??? A week later they tell me that my order will be dispatched ASAP as they have a staff shortage due to the value of the Yen???. According to Andy, there was a staff shortage in April. This is now end of July. So using the same lame excuse. I have now had to cancel the order as these parts are urgent, with no end in sight.
Ok. So here is an update. August 11. I was told that they could not cancel the order from the manufacturer. This order was advertised as being in stock, so it obviously wasn’t. Then they said that they would cancel the order but I would have to pay a Re-stocking fee, for something that wasn’t in stock. In fact they wanted me to pay for re-stocking their empty shelf. Im wondering if they do in fact have any shelves. Or is everything ordered in. As I could see that getting a refund would definitely be a problem, I decided to go ahead with the purchase. Their reply was that the items were now “in” and would be dispatched within two working days, which, of course, they weren’t. I received them yesterday after paying an inflated customs bill and although the items themselves were good, I would certainly NOT recommend RHD Japan. Do not buy ANYTHING from this company. If THEY have a problem, it will become YOUR problem
Poor customer Service and No/Slow resolution
Order suspension system for my Honda Odyssey. Parcel came damage. 2 big holes at the bottom of the box with item having signs of impact. Open a ticket with them take ages to reply. Gave them all the evidence on the 24th of April up till 2nd may have not even file a claim. Only when i give them a call they mention they will file it by end of today and update the ticket. AS expect no reply was given.
Basically leaving customer high and dry.

Do not order with this company. I regret it ever since I received the diff i ordered for my evo X. Part did not fit as a part of the diff was missing after months of messages and waiting more then 2-3 sometimes 4 days for an answer they get back to you saying they want more photographic proof which i showed them countless times. Told them i am sending the item back and expect a refund and they agreed. Parcel has been at them now since 3rd February and no message that they received it yet alone refund. I messaged them 2 times in two days and still no answer. Had to pay for shipping and restocking and out anout 1k euro. Shameful

Probable clients, I am disappointed in RHD Japan, it seems to me that the responses of the customer service departments or the "HELP DESK", specific to who claims to be Neil C.
1.-I have made several purchases in said electronic store, that said store is a distributor, it is not a sales portal through the Internet, that is, they are intermediaries, when a problem arises they will argue the opposite.
2.- I started buying a couple of small pieces, however, the packaging and shipping costs are high (I already had a reference to it on the internet), however, most of them have arrived well, so I began to request pieces from greater value, because it is easy to buy several brands in one place and security, also according to bonuses, of course, access to them must be of a certain cost from now on, you end up losing them because they are valid.
3.-I saw the advantages of security, despite the increase in the prices of the products, packaging, charges for the bank operation and others, that's right, the gentlemen do not lose anything, they are doing you a favor
4.- In the penultimate order #900193483 it arrived late, I requested support, obviously if they gave it to me, one of the packages came open, I don't know if it came from origin, they were balatas and they arrived without the assembly grease, the one that came sealed came normal , I realized that they did not have their own stock.
5.- In the current order #900205155, I received a message in which they charge me a difference due to an increase in the price, it is little, however the manufacturer RRP has the parts on its page at a lower price, I opened a case for clarification and "Neil C." He replied that if the supplier increased the price it was not his responsibility, it is the date that he has not answered my mail, I have the merchandise stopped, and obviously the answer caused me more trouble.
6.- If the operation were in Mexico, the seller is obliged to respect the price, he argued that according to the frequently asked questions, he can do it, BE CAREFUL WITH THESE SELLERS SINCE THE COMMERCIAL PRACTICES THEY HANDLE LACK OF HONORABILITY, IT IS DISAPPOINTING.
7.- I showed him that in RRP the two pieces are at a lower cost and at this time he has not responded to me, that is, he is not interested.

Check with the parcel company, they will only give the guide number, if it is retained in customs, they increase the prices, it is the responsibility of the supplier, because it turns out that they behave as if they were a sales platform and not as intermediaries, the piece does not exist or they cancel it? It is the supplier's responsibility, they do not have stock and they limit themselves to saying that they have hundreds of parts and spare parts to keep everything up to date.
CONSIDER THE POSITION OF THE "PSEUDO COMPANY" WHICH I THOUGHT WOULD BE HONORABLE", HOWEVER I AM ANNOYING AND NOT BECAUSE OF THE AMOUNT, IT IS BECAUSE OF THE FORM, THE TREATMENT AND THE "UNJUSTIFIED" FACT, THAT SO THEY CLAIM TO BE A SERIOUS COMPANY... WHAT A SHAME.
It is not the cost, it is the action and bad commercial practices, the lack of honesty, it is what is annoying.
