Rental companies in Australia provide insurance at the time of pick up , it’s exorbitantly priced , and doesn’t cover windscreen , tyres , or underbody which are the main items you need particularly if travelling the country areas encountering road trains. We got a nearly invisible microchip on the windscreen which the local windscreen repairer in remote Broome deemed needing replacement??? Cost $1800 plus $66 administrative costs. Put in a claim online and we got a refund within 24 hours .the insurance cover was a quarter of the rental companies cost!!!!!and it did cover windscreen tyres and underbody.

I NEVER get insurance, but this was Europe, so... glad I did. A street Bollard (look it up) rose as we passed over, causing major damage. I prepared for the inevitable mountain of paperwork required to file a claim, but it was far easier than I would have imagined. A few days later, I received a link for the money. Done!

Beware!!! This company will ignore your claim!! I’ve been waiting over a week for a response since I submitted updated information, and their claims team states they’ll “get back to you soon.” There is no contact number, and you’ll be left waiting in limbo with a big bill on your credit card. At this point it looks like I’ll have to eat the cost of my rental car damage out of pocket.

Don’t use this company and use the insurance provided by your rental car company instead!!

I had a fairly new rental car. I luckily purchased a full RentalCover insurance too.
Upon returning the car at the airport, to my surprise, there was a scratch on the side that I was unaware, maybe it was originally there, that I missed it in a rush upon collection. I couldn't argue much as I was rushing for my flight and ended up paying full excess sum and left. I reported everything to RentalCover with the receipt and guess what, the claim was approved in a day and I got paid all back to my account the following day. What a relieve and great experience.

I rented a car in Croatia with rentalCovr insurance, the license number fell and the car rental company charged me an Huge amount. I went on a motorhome trip up north to Skye, Lewis and Harris. Unfortunately, another motorhome drove too close and knocked our wing mirror off and broke it. The repair was expensive but luckily I bought cover from RentalCover.com before the trip. As soon as I got home, the rental company sent over the rental agreement and invoice for the damage. I completed the claim form online on the RentalCover portal and the claim was accepted and paid out within days! The whole process was easy to follow so long as you have the correct documents.
