This is a scam and daylight robbery

This is a scam and daylight robbery. Hundreds of people in Ireland and UK have experienced the same theft. Unsolicited texts, no opt in, texts generated on bill (do not appear on handset-nobody has mentioned this.) All facilitated by the phone providers and ignored by ComReg. Outrageous please sign my petition. We will stand together and be counted. Go to Uplift for i e to sign my petition against ComRegs inaction. Not allowed to post the link here. Thank you

Zero star rating

My broadband bill is a set price, direct debit was €19.97 over the set bill price.
I rang my provider 3, who stated that the issue was 8 x subscriptions on one date in April. They asked did I text any competition lines etc, I stated no, never. It's a mobile wifi modem (dongle) so doesn't make sense.
3 directed me to pfi who confirmed the transactions and queries should be directed to red27mobile
Basically this crowd state I subscribed to some gaming, it could be another person using device. I am the only user, I explained the device they are charging to. They wanted proof I was bill payer, screenshot of subscription.
I was not giving them any more of my information. I have no screenshots of subscriptions as I never authorized a anything, ever. I told them they have defrauded me and I want my money back. They came back saying as a 'gesture of goodwill' they will refund €15 and to supply bank a/c details or paypal.
I replied that this is not good enough and no way was I giving them my bank account details!
They then said under their policy I am not entitled to a refund at all and to accept the €15 as I subscribed to their service.
I refused and said I would report to comreg.
They then sent 'proof' of my subscription which was nothing more than a row of boxes filled with random letters and numbers in each column.
I replied this is proof of nothing! Told them a quick Google on them revealed they are just a bunch of fraudsters.
They came back saying the director has now approved a full refund of €20 as 'a gesture of goodwill '
I have supplied my PayPal, awaiting my money back...
**I have received my money back via PayPal

GDPR violations. Scammed by a barage of text I never signed up for

My phone number was given to this company that I have never heard of who then texted my a barage of texts that I have been charged for even though I did not open any links of approve any subscription.
I received 8 texts at exactly the same time on Friday May 8th for a gaming service, chillax games / Red27 mobile, that I had never heard of or signed up to/for.
The text proves this as the first text sent last Wednesday says Free Msg: Your ChillaxGames Free Trial is waiting! Click the link to enjoy..."
And another text was sent at the exact same time saying "FreeMsg: Your FREE TRIAL to ChillaxGames is here! Free for 24hr, 30 days access for 20.00 EUR afrer. Send STOP to 57977."
I did not click any link or sign up to this so there is also a clear GDPR violation here too.
My network is Three and it appears this has happened to many people before.
This has resulted in my account being billed for €16.24 at a cost of €2.03 per text received, even though they were not opened.
I contacted Three and they said to contact the service provider and to call the number they provided, but as it is clearly a scam company I am not going to risk being charged more by calling them.
I had to email the Red27 email to complain, and texted STOP to avoid any more random charged, and they've asked for my number again which I am not comfortable giving them, as then they'll have my number and email info to link up.
Why did this happen and why do mobile phone companies facilitate the ability to text and reverse charge people even if they don’t open up links or subscribe?
Disgraceful that this is going on right now

SCAMMMMMMMMMM

I feel I have been scammed out of money from Red27mobile too. I have sent a number of emails demanding that they refund me the full amount as I didn't opt or agree to any of their services. I'm still unaware as to what service I agreed to. I have consulted with ComReg regarding this matter and have no intentions of dropping the matter until I have been reimbursed. There seems to be a similar pattern shared with all our experiences - the company has a full understanding of the transaction but the consumer is left in the dark. This is not a transparent transaction between two parties. Companies operate with an intention to engage with potential consumers, they communicate a clear product offering and ensure that at every step that both the company and consumer have a clear understanding of the undertaking. Most reputable companies will provide you with a receipt or confirmation of the transaction. I only have a text message clearly stating that I have unsubscribed but no indication/receipt of the subscription.

Untrustworthy

no comment, not recommended , check your phone bills for 57977. Its taking 2.50 per txt but you do not see the txt or know it is happening. if your bill is high always check

email - info @ red27mobile.com to request a refund , i just got back €160 that was taken, do not settle unless they give you full refund.
I mentioned that I was going to report them to COMREG with is the regulated Commission for Communications Regulation in IReland and ASA in UK which is the advertising standards Authority if i did not receive a refund and they approved my refund within a few hours. I gave a Paypal account (as did not trust them with bank details ) and money was transferred within 3 days.

dont give up get your refund !!!

Total scam artists.

Total scam. Unauthorised deductions from a pay as you go phone. Stealing money from a 76 year old. Gaslighting people when they complain. Will accept nothing less than a refund and will eb going all the way with COMREG

Following the response from Red27Mobile below please everyone note that this company spins the same line to all. Getting a refund is difficult enough but the point is they are tricking people into these 'premium text' services. Their response below is not genuine.

SCAM

SCAM - they stated I had double "opt in" which is a lie. Targeted my 12 yr olds phone, he never he saw the texts, took e45 out of my account. Asked them to prove by sending on the Log Files showing the opt in...should be interesting.
Contacted ComReg, everyone should to open a case file and once there's a significant amount of complaints they may be able to shut this down. Its THEFT, pure & simple.

Please be very aware of red27mobile or…

Please be very aware of red27mobile or mobi hub or number 57977.
My mum has been scammed out of €105 charged on her Eir phone bill in the form of 42 text messages at €2.50 each. I have been emailing red27mobile all weekend to demand a full refund. I am not letting this go until my mum gets the €105 that was literally stolen from her. She has never subscribed to a gaming app which they claimed she had. I have provided them with proof of all the charges and yet they have an answer for everything. At first they offered a refund of €7.50, then €15, then €30 and finally they declared that the total charges on their database for my mums account is only €45, which they are willing to refund. They increased the refund from €7.50 to €45 because I stood my ground and didnt give up. And I wont give up. My mum is a pensioner and cant afford to lose €105 to scammers. I messaged Com Reg today to ask for their help getting a refund. They gave me a case number and said to give it 10 days from the first date that I emailed red27mobile for them to give me a full refund, if not then Com Reg will step in and communicate with them on my behalf. Please be vigilant and dont let these scammers win. I dont know how these people sleep at night knowing that they are robbing people blind!!! I am emailing my local radio stations so they can warn their listeners about them. And I will also write a detailed message on my facebook to warn all my family and friends. Stand together against scammers!!!!!
