Excellent, delivered what they promised! This is a great service, plain and simple. Communication was great from beginning to end and payment was pretty quick!

Bait and switch. Their offer is high only to flip it on you with a significantly reduced price. They are sketchy and only pay in check unless you want to eat the cost of the fee. Run away from these guys.

Even though my phone fit their requirements for being in top condition, when they received it, they found two issues (that weren’t listed as criteria), and countered with a lower purchase price. I accepted the lower price, to avoid the time to get it back and try another (I accepted what they say they found too). Point is, I didn’t get the price their website made it seem I would get, so be aware.

Using recell.io was a mixed experience for me.

The Bad:
* I received a quote of $720 for a one year old iPhone Pro Max, plus a $36 referral bonus--total quote of $756, which I gladly accepted. The phone had been in a case with a screen protector at all times. Once received, they claimed the phone had too many scratches and revised the condition from 'good' to 'fair' offering me $605 instead. I accepted to avoid the hassle of having it returned and trying another reseller.
* After requesting payment in the form of a check to avoid the PayPal fees, the check never arrived (and still hasn't ~3 weeks after it was supposedly sent). I reached out and they promptly sent me an electronic check.
* I deposited the electronic check, and one week later, was informed by my bank that the check bounced. My accounted was debited the $605 for the returned check and assessed a $20 fee. At this point I was out a phone and $625.

The Good:
* After contacting recell.io about this issue, they offered to pay me via PayPal, waiving the PayPal fee, and included an additional $20 to cover the returned check fee from my bank.

In the end, they did make good on the agreed amount and customer service was quick and responsive to my concerns.

Would I use them again? Perhaps. I'm left a little uneasy by the number of things that all seemed to go wrong with this transaction, but in the end, they did work to rectify the issues and ultimately paid me the agreed upon amount.

I would use this company again! Speedy payment and the site was easy to navigate

The trade in went smooth , we received cheques. The cheques didnot clear through bank and bounced back. We have been following up with them for clearing our pending payments and didnot receive any help from them.

We did contact them but we get some lame excuses every time and they dont reply to our emails after continuously following up with them.

Very trustworthy company. They do what they say they will do and ask in a timely manner with good status updates

By far the best buyback company I have used and I have used several. First the prices were as good or better than anyone else I found. I understand they inspect the phone when they get it and can offer less if they find additional damage. I am very glad I called them and asked about how would grade my iPhone 12 when I sent it in. They explained that I should look at the phone in high lighting and see if I saw any wear on the screen, sides or back. I did see some scratches here and there but not much to which they told me to place the order in “good” condition (Had I not looked at the phone in good lighting, I may not have seen the wear) I placed the order in good condition and shipped it on a Monday. On Thursday I got an email that the phone had been received, then an email that it had “passed” inspection followed by an email from PayPal that I received a payment! The whole thing took only a few days and they were extremely helpful and honest! Well worth it!

Straightforward process and fast payment!

My experience went like this...Received quote amount based on condition we indicated (three people looked over the phone to agree on excellent condition) Received quote and prepaid label but their label didn't have insurance so I paid for a new label with insured shipping....They received the phone and contacted me indicating there are scratches on the screen (the phone had a screen protector since day one) and counter offered my original quote amount....so being unable to prove otherwise (Other than pictures I have ) we ultimately verbally agreed on a lesser amount but no email confirmation, documentation or proof of what the agreed amount is...They said the check for the agreed upon amount is to be sent out in 5 days....I will update this after I receive the check. Stay tuned..... Well I received the check and it was returned for insufficient funds. After a few emails back and forth I was sent a second check which covered the bank fee and was for the original quoted amount not the agreed upon amount. So in summary - they apologized for all the issues and wanted to insure I was a satisfied customer. I will now know what to expect if there is a next time. Thank you, Bill

Do you not trust them they gave me a quote. I took a video of me going to the Apple Store purchasing the device out right wrapping it up sealed and sending it to the post office. I didn’t get an email saying that the device wasn’t paid off and even though it was factory sealed there was still damage. This is happened to multiple friends of ours and they will rob you blind for any device you send them. And lie and say that there’s damage where there isn’t

I sent in my iPhone 12 Pro Max for the quoted estimate, highest of all trade-in values, and upon inspection I received the full original quote. I was notified throughout the process but didn't receive my payment as anticipated. I called the recell.io support staff, they were helpful and kindly expedited my device payment. I would recommend their service to anyone trading in electronic devices!
