Excellent and personal service
My husband and I have been with Rathbones and Simon Dewar for many, many years. His clear explanation of complex economic and financial matters gives us confidence in our investment choices. He answers any query promptly, is really personable, and we feel very comfortable with all his advice. Aside from that, our investments have performed very well under his guidance, which of course is hugely important. Communication is regular, which is not the case with other investment firms, so we never feel like we've been abandoned after investing. I doubt we could have chosen better than Rathbones and Simon.

Excellent service all round
Simon Dewar has been looking after us and our investment portfolio for over a decade now. Whether at face-to-face meetings or via email, he's always responsive and helpful, clearly explaining options and making suggestions that guide us to decisions that have worked well for us and our family.
We also really appreciate the added extras we get from Rathbones - from the app (really easy to use and track performance), the regular market commentaries and invitations to events from investment webinars to art exhibitions.
Since being with Rathbones we haven't just seen our portfolio grow in the way we wanted, but also gained a better understanding of investment strategies and how to navigate challenging geo-political and economic times. Can highly recommend.

Safe and reliable
Rathbones have been managing my SIPP since 2007 with Simon Dewar from the Edinburgh office having responsibility for its management for most of that time. It I had to choose a few words to describe my experience of the Rathbones service, I would talk about it being safe and reliable. From what I observe, they are not speculative but are looking for steady growth whilst trying to avoid excessive dips when the market drops. I have always found Simon very approachable and very willing to meet up in London to discuss the performance of my investments. Earlier this year, I decided to make small cash gifts to my two daughters. Simon was happy to arrange the necessary liquidation of assets and the whole process progressed very smoothly.

The level of service provided has been tailored to our specific requirements and has resulted in very good results. I've found everyone I have dealt with at Rathbones - be it fund manager, admin, IT support - to be polite, professional and reliable. A big plus point for me is that, should follow-ups be required, I am kept up-to-date on their progress.
