We had to pay an extra £20 for the incompetence of someone at your end due to money not going through when we had paid. We were told it was the banks fault. But when we got in touch with the bank they said it had never been put through by you so it had never been shown as pending to be paid so it was your fault and we had to pay the extra money for you to process it correctly. NOT IMPRESSED

The lady I spoke to regarding my insurance renewal explained the quote and when I asked her if there was any breakdown cover as I had free last year I was told that it was a one off.
I accepted that, but the lady went on the get a quote for break down cover which I also accepted and included I my quote final insurance renewal.

Insurance Renewal
When I got through to a person, renewing the insurance was straightforward and simple. Quick, easy, nicely done.
However, emphasis on "when".
1- There isn't an easy way to find the phone number for insurance renewal, as you have to call through as if you've had a crash, which then directs you to the renewal option. Why doesn't it have a dedicated number anymore, or is at least easy to find?
2- Employ more people, use less automated services. I hate, with a passion, the amount of automation I have to get through before I can actually sort anything out. The actual renewal of insurance only took about 2 minutes. Getting to that point, including going through and trying to find the insurance number/option, took closer to 20 minutes.
Can't fault them for the human service, can fault them for the layout and automated parts.

We do, however, understand your frustration with the time it took to reach that point. Having to navigate automated options and spend time looking for the correct route for your renewal can be frustrating, particularly when the actual renewal itself only took a couple of minutes.
Your comments regarding the availability of a dedicated renewal number and the amount of automation involved are valuable, and we will ensure this feedback is shared with the relevant teams. We appreciate that automation can be useful, but we also recognise the importance of making it easy for customers to reach a person when they need one.
Thank you again for highlighting both what worked well and where we can improve. We’re pleased our advisor was able to provide the level of service you expected once you got through to them.

No route to accepting amended quote
The website didn't display their amended quote, so I couldn't accept it online and had to keep phoning to repeat the story of why the amendment was needed, then again being told to accept it on the website, which it never could. Eventually gave up. They then wanted to charge an admin fee for cancelling the policy (now our only option), although they did waive this when threatened with a formal complaint.
