Booked this for a specific time, not adhered to.

Booked this for a specific time, as allowed by the website, driver was changed 3 times, the last time 4 minutes before the booked time! The driver was good but the impact of the late notification of a change in arrival time caused major issues. Asked for a partial refund but not heard anything other than to write a review!! Seems they care more about their reviews than the customers.

Booking experience was very easy

Booking experience was very easy. Driver Andreas Kouros was exceptional, he arrived on time and was very pleasant and polite and well organised in loading and unloading the van. He was extremely helpful and nothing was too much trouble. He was very careful with the handling of items and was also a careful driver. I would thoroughly recommend Quick man and Van for any future removals.

Awesome service especially the second time around.

Have used the services twice and both times was not disappointed. Got what was expected and the second time, had booked Kemal Mehmet's services, they went above and beyond working straight for 3 hours with just a single break (if you can it that) which was just the 10 min drive between property. Also, way cheaper than booking based on the box count since our estimate of our boxes to be moved was way off.

Left me stranded

The website offers 2 spaces for passengers in the cab of the van but the driver brought his wife and child with him leaving me stranded as there was no space for me in the van. I had selected the ‘driver helping’ option and with the website stating there will be 2 spaces in the cab for passengers, anyone with a brain would assume that would mean space for me, but no. The driver was then very unhelpful, shrugged and suggested I get an uber or the train (both very expensive and time consuming).

I managed to get a car to drive me to my second destination, roughly a 40 minute drive. Even though I left 25 minutes after the van driver we arrived at the same time…so I would like to know what he was doing for that half an hour.

At the second destination, after I had moved all of my possessions into the cargo of the van, the driver suggested that I could sit inside the cargo next to my heavy furniture…very dangerous, very unsafe and very illegal.

I then had to organise separate travel to my final destination, roughly a 35 minute drive. I was picked up 15 minutes after the driver yet we arrived at the final destination at the same time, so again I would like to know what he was doing for that extra time…especially as he had the cheek to charge me over time even though he was the reason for the delays!

I have tried to reach out to the head office to complain but they have been absolutely useless and rude.

I would not at all recommend this company.

Edit: The company has laughably replied to my review trying to make absurd complaints.

Refusing to believe the customer when it was suggested that I ride in the cargo just because the driver said that’s not true - of course he said that because it is illegal to drive with someone in the cargo and would get in trouble otherwise.

I traveled on the exact same day, half an hour after the van had left my first property and there is no justifiable cause that would delay the van to the extent we arrived at practically the same time.

Via email, they have been completely cavalier of my issues and have dismissed my examples of accurate estimated travel times after trying to provide their own.

My review is accurate and yet they still try to dismiss me. I implore people never to use this awful company unless they want to pay through the nose after being left stranded.

We are sorry you were dissatisfied, however this review omits important facts.

Availability of passenger seats does not create a contractual entitlement to travel in the van unless requested in advance, and customers are asked during the booking process to notify us if they require this. Travel in the cab, where available, is a complimentary accommodation and was not a service you were charged for.

As no request to travel in the van was made in advance, the driver could not reasonably have been expected to reserve passenger space.

We also do not accept the allegation that the driver intentionally caused delays or improperly overcharged; journey times in a loaded moving van are not directly comparable to a passenger car.

Regarding your safety allegation, the driver disputes that he suggested travelling in the cargo area.

While we regret you were unhappy with the move, we believe this review does not fairly reflect the full circumstances.

Very unprofessional company.

I originally left this review on Google Maps 10 months ago. Since then, the company appears to have taken down their Google Maps page, so I'm reposting here because I think it's important that others can find it.

After my original review, they responded on Google Maps and emailed me privately on 13/06/2025. In sum, they argued that posting almost a year after the event was unfair, that I never gave them a chance to investigate or take corrective action, and that doing so without contacting them first created a misleading impression of their company. I addressed most of these points in my original review, and regardless, none of it changes what actually happened to me. But they didn't stop there. In their email, they characterised my account as a "skewed narrative" creating a "misleading and potentially false impression," and implied my review could be considered defamatory and "subject to legal scrutiny”, all while saying in the same email that they were only just beginning to review the matter internally. A company whose instinct, when a customer reports feeling unsafe, is to threaten legal consequences before genuinely investigating is one I would never work with again.

Additionally, it appears the driver is still working for the company, as they are still listed on the website.

My original review (unedited):

I had a terrible experience with this company on 13/09/2024 and am only now comfortable leaving this review after relocating to a new address.

The driver arrived over an hour early, before I was ready, and was hostile and unprofessional from the moment he showed up. Throughout the entire job he complained — about helping me load (despite me repeatedly telling him he didn't need to), about the job being a waste of his time, and about not being paid enough. He complained about driving through Central London even though he knew the route in advance and I had paid extra for the congestion charge (Google Maps showed we didn't even need to enter the congestion zone).

Most concerning was his aggressive pursuit of additional money. I had already paid £72.42 through the website plus £15 in cash for the congestion charge. He repeatedly demanded more cash on top of that. I emptied my wallet and gave him everything I had, but he kept pressing me, asking if that was really all I had, and at one point threatened to abandon the job — despite having plenty of space for my items.

His behaviour made me feel genuinely unsafe. I was concerned enough to share my live location with my partner. Despite my having booked two hours and us finishing early, he complained I was taking too long. By the end I was nearly in tears. He also asked me to leave him a 5-star review during the drive.

I didn't complain to the company at the time because he knew my home address and I was worried about retaliation. Now that I've moved, I feel it's important to warn others. I cannot recommend this company and would strongly advise looking elsewhere for removal services.

Fast, easy, reasonably priced

Booking online was fast and easy. Our initial moving team had technical issues and were swapped seamlessly by QM&V overnight, with the contact details for the replacement movers provided immediately. Replacement movers were excellent and had no issues at all, perfect service.

Great recovery

The original driver that we originally booked did not show up or respond to our phone calls. When we reached out to quickmanandvan they apologised and arranged for another driver to come out. The driver who did show up (Elvis) came from Birmingham to ensure that our experience was a great one. It is just a shame that other drivers on this platform are unreliable but the way that this was resolved was a great recovery and I would happily use them again

Disappointing Experience

UPDATED: They promptly offered me a partial refund, which is much appreciated, hence I've changed my review.

ORIGINAL REVIEW: Very disappointed with the service. I had booked a Luton van with driver and 1 helper to arrive at my house in Cardiff for moving at 4pm. They charged me £70 at the time of booking.

I was told on the morning of the house move that the driver cancelled the booking and that the only other driver available is for 2pm. I accepted this change. However, neither the driver, nor the helper arrived. After waiting 1 hour, I called their office at 3pm, where the receptionist Ana said she will check with the driver on their ETA.

Ana never called me for any update and then when I called her again at 3:30pm, she said the driver is on his way but she can't give any ETA. She didn't resolve the matter and didn't give any update and then I had to directly call the driver, Emmanuel, who told me an entirely different story. He said that he was waiting for the helper to arrive from Carmarthen and there was no way they both could be at my house before 7pm!!!

Frustrated and stressed, I asked Emmanuel to come without the helper and that I was going to load everything in the van with him. Finally, Emmanuel arrived 150 minutes late at my house at 4:30pm and by that time, our house buyers had already started moving their furniture inside the house, and we had to move everything out on the driveway on our own.

Not only did Quick Man and Van not have the courtesy or the basic decency of offering any refund, they also charged me for the extra helper who NEVER arrived, delayed my house move, didn't communicate anything and constantly LIED about the situation. The only good thing about this whole experience was the driver, Emmanuel, who tried to help as much as he could as it wasn't his job and he was just handed this job on the day AFTER the time the driver was supposed to arrive.

Quick Man and Van might give you an unbelievably low quote but it clearly shows in their service, care and honesty. My advice would be to pay more and book from some place more reputable and reliable.

I had a great experience with Man and…

I had a great experience with Quick Man and Van and would highly recommend their service.

Initially, I booked a van with a driver, but later realised I needed a larger vehicle for my move. Adrian was extremely helpful and accommodating—he quickly arranged the cancellation and only charged a very reasonable admin fee, which I really appreciated.

On the moving day, the driver, Maesuthan Sellathurai, was absolutely outstanding. He worked incredibly hard and managed to handle most of the heavy lifting on his own. He was also very polite, friendly, and professional throughout the entire process, which made a potentially stressful day much easier for us.

I would like to sincerely thank both Adrian and Maesuthan for their excellent service. I wouldn’t hesitate to use them again in the future.
