Prime example of no regard for Covid precautions on Cairnryan / Larne crossing. Clearly loaded to normal capacity with no way of social distancing anywhere other than outside in the chilly winds. Hu... See more

Filming people on phone
An official was outside the duty free shop filming people leaving the shop. Not sure what that was about but whatever it gets used for let's hope they give the whole picture that people were staggering around due to rough seas and not for anything else. Let's see when we get to Dover how much hassle we get from border control
Calais to Dover
Just the most awful company and staff I have ever come across. Hardly speak English rude and no manners. Omg give the toilets a miss disgusting I will never use po ferries again
Low cost healthy food option missing. Efficient loading and helpful staff
Hull-Rotterdam Crossing The cost of food onboard is prohibitive. There should be some healthy cheap options, like stews in the cafe for the less affluent traveller. The meals were good, the entertainment [real live band ] very good. The coffee/tea in the bars was of poor quality in comparison to the restaurant or coffee bar and the price should reflect that. I'd not pay more than 0.40p for the quality I received not £3. The cabins are very clean and I like the new simplified design. The crew were friendly and helpful. Getting on and off the ship was very good. It would have been good to have an explanation on why were on deck 3 rather than the usual passenger deck 7.
Lack of customer care
Omg! Where can I start, crossing from Dover to Calais on Pride of Calais was awful. Boarded at 8 yesterday morning and there was nothing to purchase in the food hall except a Pain Au Raisin for me and my friend had a dry ham sandwich as we were both hungry after being up since 4am. We were looking forward to a cooked breakfast to set us up for the day. Had a coffee from self service machine which we paid for at a self service till. No customer service at all. Most of the toilets near the food hall were out of action including the one for wheelchair users.
On the return journey the ferry was a newer model but the lack of staff meant we queued for over half an hour to get a drink. Staff shortage seemed so bad we were served by the same lady who was working in bar earlier in the duty free shop where the queue stretched around the whole store. Lack of staff seems to be a big problem along with lack of adequate facilities. Don’t think I’ll be travelling with P&O again which is a big shame.
Poor dining experience
Very helpful staff at check in who managed to get us on an earlier ferry since we arrived early. The food market however left a lot to be desired. Although the ferry wasn't particularly busy, they were clearly unable to handle the number of customers. The breakfast was cold and the options very inflexible. £10 for a fairly meagre adult breakfast and no other options for the children. The pastries ran out after a handful of customers and it took a good 10mins to get more, when they did come it was just 4 croissants and a handful of pain au raisons. The pain au Chocolat took another 5mins or so to come out. Our food came to nearly £40 for 2 adults and 3 small children, I could have swallowed that had the food and service been up to par. Definitely not up to the standards I've received on P and O and other ferries in the past

Outstanding care and support
I am absolutely amazed at the care, help and support we have been given at P&O ferries Cairnryan by staff, manager and supervisor especially Kerry at the front desk in Cairnryan, with the issues we faced today travelling with children my youngest being adhd also (needing so much attention and interaction) we booked our ferry in May and travelled now in July confirmed booking for 2 o clock we had a 4 hour journey from Lancashire this morning leaving at 8 o clock arriving at 5 to 12 to be told there is no such ferry at 2 it was at 12 and 4 , I have been emailing direct ferries in regards to confirming times etc and they confirmed two days before travelling it was still 2 o clock .
Kerry could not have been in any way more helpful giving us Club lounge privileges free drinks snacks on the way over on our new time of sailing 4 o clock and also on our journey back which also had issues with and has had to be changed and sorted out , we have been given priority boarding so we are first on board , although we have a 4 hour wait here now there is a small cafe inside the seating area with some soft play toys that my son is being entertained by and p&o have also offered to pay for food and drinks here whilst we wait aswell . All staff even security when we got searched were very sympathetic and lovely towards us . Would travel with this company anytime 😊 Thanks P&O staff at Cairnryan x
P & O has gone down the pan
P & O has gone down the pan. Travelleled 18/7/22 on the Prideof Canterbury which is now a dirty shabby rust bucket. Hottest day of the year no air con we were melting ( there was air con in the duty free shop presumably to keep their chocolate cool - buggar the passengers!) it was a shocking and miserable journey. Food poor plus tge restaurant was akin to a sauna. Drinks ev3n more exspensive plus the bars were like bread ovens. People were starting to feel ill from the heat no one seemed bothered. Use DFDS for tge Dover crossing or tge tunnel not this company. Plus beware the French border control at Dover stamps every passport and tge British scan everyone.delays and queues are long and arduous - we queued 4 hours- and fraught with rude French officials . Try flying not this port
Never I will use this company again
Never I will use this company again
Really rubish
P&O are a disgrace. Will not use them again until the company is transformed.
Hull-Rotterdam booking made in 2020 was postponed because of Covid. P & O offered only a credit note not a refund. When we rebooked in 2022 we had a hefty additional charge just to complete the identical trip that we would have done in May 2020.
On the car decks there was inadequate guidance from the deck hands, some of whom seemed to play no active part in the embarkation or disembarkation procedures but simply stood around chatting.
The standards in the brasserie restaurant have slipped very badly from pre pandemic trips. Food portions were small with limited choice. It was not the quality restaurant experience it used to be and was certainly not worth £25 plus extras for side dishes. We used to look forward to dinner on the boat but will not use the restaurant again, unless it improves.
The ship seemed to have a lot more electronic games and coin in the slot machines than we remember; not a relaxing environment. Some facilities eg the Irish bar were closed. The sky bar on the top deck used to be a pleasant area for a pre or post dinner drink, with a pianist playing salon music; now it was very poor artists whom no-one seemed to be listening to.
There was a disgraceful chaos boarding at Rotterdam where instead of being given boarding cards etc at the check-in booths, passengers were instructed to park their cars and queue in a booking hall. This was disorderly, slow and inefficient. For passengers with children, the elderly and those with disabilities eg wheelchair users it was difficult. It gave every impression of being badly under-staffed and poorly organised with a lack of management to take responsibility.
Never again. Vile management
I've used them very many times in the past but never again, Vile management. Reinstate the staff, give us a safe trip and I'll reconsider
Sounds like firing all your staff and…
Sounds like firing all your staff and getting cheap untrained workers hasn't worked out for you. Who'd have thought???
Selling Cabins they don’t have- Conned
Booked a crossing for June, we are frequent users of the Hull to Zeebrug service. It was against my better judgement given the way they have treated staff. But we know the ships and know the cabins. We always stay in a Club Suite cabin. Selected our crossing dates to secure our cabin of choice. Received an email today to be told system has an error and we are being moved to 5 bunk cabin. This is not what we booked and paid for. Tried calling and impossible to speak to anyone. I have changed to DFDS and shall file a back charge with credit card company.
So after 15 years of great crossings P&O shall never get a penny from me again
Thieves
**edit** rang customer services today who gave me the blanket response of ‘you can use the credit up to September 2022’ or I can pass on to someone else who might need to use it. None of which are desirable. Advised to email customer services, which I had already, twice and no response. I really feel for the staff in the call centre but come on P&O Ferries this type of avarice and greed is nonsensical, is holding on to hard working people’s money in the current financial climate really worth all the terrible reputation damage this is all causing?!.
I’ll start by saying despite reviews following recent press about p&o ferries, my review is based on my poor experience following travel cancellation during the pandemic.
Paid for an overnight crossing for May 2020 and STILL have not had my money back. The only offer is a credit note I’m being forced to use by the end of 2022, which I no longer need!
The onlline support is non existent. When I call the telephone number it is purely for sales. I’ve emailed the firm and been ignored. They’ve effectively kept £600 of my money for a service they never provided.
I’m appalled by the lack of customer service and the fact my money has been kept, this is the only company I’ve heard of doing so following this global pandemic.
Avoid at all costs. Press lately says all about the greed of this firm. Wrong wrong wrong!
Shameful service
Shameful service on my recent trip.
Please note because trust pilot isn’t all that, they appear to be “accidentally losing” peoples fair and honest reviews of P&O. I’m sure it’s just an admin glitch but please; Feel free to check your fair and honest reviews and repost them if missing.

terrible company terrible service avoid avoid avoid . treatment of staff is disgusting
ABSOLUTELY APPALLING
I have used P&O in the past but will not use them again. The treatment of their staff is insensitive, inhuman and vile. This is an example of corporate greed and exploitation at its absolute worst. I hope in the face of public opinion on this appalling behaviour P&O ferries feel shame and regret.....sadly though I suspect a company that can do this to loyal workers will feel no shame.
