I first met Steve King at the beginning of May this year (2023) after researching the best IT expert to contact due to having a long-standing IT problem that has worsened and become more pronounced with advancing digital technology and, more importantly, once I started to catch-up with it a little bit by getting my first 'smartphone' during the Pandemic (Dec 2020).
After getting the smartphone, however, I then managed to get away to stay with a member of my family and form our first support bubble just before the Xmas lockdown was brought in and stayed away until early March. It was then only on my return, once I was regularly connected to my home router/hub via the WiFi with my mobile, did my IT problems (with my desktop pc - an already out-of-date system still operating on Windows 7!) start escalating.
By the time I contacted Steve, it was apparent that all 3 devices to my home hub network (desktop; tablet; and my android smartphone) had a major problem across all devices, including a whole mish-mash of file-association errors I'd made as they got worse, and which is all going to present Steve with a major problem to sort out, including a total re-build and re-fit of my desktop, due to there being so much cross-over of data, pictures, programmes and the way each device functions/between devices (in a nutshell my whole system was FUBAR!) and, for personal reasons, I cannot afford to lose any of it.
As I'm a pensioner whose been scammed more than once in the past, my trust was at an all time low when I finally messaged Steve quite tentatively to start revealing all these problems but, I needn't have worried, as Steve was sensitive to this from the start. Since that first meeting when, as well as obviously getting a sound grasp of the problems I was having, he took my tablet with him to look at:
* we've exchanged several messages and emails, some with photo's attached so that he can work out what this Luddite is talking about!;
* he's sorted my tablet, which had stopped working, by taking it back to its factory settings after doing a data/file recovery of everything on it;
* returned it on the next visit running better than ever, if a little slow (though it's not had a lot of use, it is 9 years old!);
* on the second visit (5th June), he got a grasp of the problems going on with the desktop (although an out-of-date pc still running on Windows 7 had already given him a pretty good idea!!), even managing to do some temporary fixes so that I can continue doing some important work until I'm ready for him to take that away for the rebuild/refit, and just so much more like getting pictures retrieved from the microSD card on my phone, which had also been affected by the problems, as well as taking the memory card from an old camera that had given up the ghost and retrieved all the precious, irreplaceable photo's on it, that I thought were lost forever.
He's transparent with his prices and terms of service, so you know where you stand from the start; very affordable; explains things in a way that even this Luddite can understand; takes his lead from the customer, so you don't feel rushed into making decisions; he's obviously very knowledgeable in all things IT, which just gives you a feel that your precious data, etc, is in safe hands; and he truly is a Gem of a find in IT Experts - the Jewel in the Crown of PC Kings - I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him (indeed I already have started doing that), just as others have before me, which is how I found him.

Steven is a wizard.
My old Sony laptop, wouldn't start up and I thought I'd lost a shed load of data...approx 10 years!!
He was able to copy the files onto a memory stick phew and I was able access them my new laptop immediately.
Even better he's managed to resurrect the old laptop.
I'm so impressed with his work and work ethic and he's easy to talk to and simplifies all the technical stuff.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to family and friends.

Very professional and courteous.
Took my son's macbook to replace the screen. The screen had to be replaced 3 times as the replacement product had few issues. Patiently dealt with the issue and charged the same amount as quoted first time.
Brilliant service. I'll happily recommend and will not look elsewhere in future.

Steven visited to set up a replacement Wi-Fi router I had purchased but was unable to set up. I contacted him early afternoon explaining I desperately needed internet access and he was able to visit at 5pm. He arrived on time and soon set up the router - I was very relieved to have internet access restored so quickly. I had a minor hiccup later that evening with no access on my laptop - Steven was going to return next day at no charge but after shutting down and restarting the issue resolved. Steven is friendly and professional - very helpful explaining everything- would definitely recommend him.

First time using a service like this. There was some scepticism with giving some information out, but Mr King was super helpful, open and specific. Free pick up and delivery is a massive bonus, too! And the service times were quick! All-in-all, great service. Super happy with the results!

The power went on my gaming PC, and I wasn't sure where to start when fixing it. After a quick call to PC Kings, Steven was out on the same day. He identified that the problem was the PSU & saved me a lot of money by pointing out that the part was still under warranty, so I'd be able to get it replaced.
Steven kept in touch with me and offered information where needed so that the replacement part was appropriate. He was totally flexible and understanding when I had to move the follow-up appointment at short notice, and when he did come out he made the fix quickly and efficiently (and tidied up the cables in my computer to boot).
I'll definitely be using this business again, and wholeheartedly recommend PC Kings to anyone around Liverpool who has a computer issue.

My motherboard had a broken ethernet port and me and my partner bought a ethernet adaptor card but we spent ages trying to figure out how to fix the issue of it not registering there's an ethernet cable plugged in. So I decided to look up some uk tech support and PC Kings came up, they fixed the issue within 10 minutes of the call, super helpful and quick to come up with a solution that worked.
