It was very difficult to book parents' evening appointments on the system. You have to guess which times are available because it doesn't show booked slots. If you get it wrong, it comes up with an error message.

Could be more intuitive.
There's no obvious place to click to select a teacher, and no confirmation that one has been selected. If you click on the same teacher twice, the second click deselects the selected teacher, with no confirmation or warning. If you want to select a time from the remaining timeslots, there's no obvious way to do that either. Sloppy programming, but if you pay peanuts........

I'd have hoped that the boxes around the teachers' names would have been intuitive, but it's helpful to know they weren't. We actually hired an award-winning Edinburgh-based UX designer to create the Suggest Bookings for Me wizard that I think you're referring to - he definitely didn't cost peanuts! I'll see what we can do to implement your suggestions sooner rather than later, and hope you'll have a better experience next time. If you log back in and click on 'Make/Edit My Bookings', you'll be able to make the changes I think you're saying you were trying to?

Morning Taz. There are two booking options, Suggest Bookings (a wizard, which is what you're talking about above) and Make/Edit My Bookings (which gives a visual list of all the times and lets you select from them). If you were to log back in and use the more visual method, this sounds like it'll let you book the way you want to. The wizard ("Suggest Bookings for Me") is intended to save you the time and trouble, because it will find you the best schedule taking into account yours and the teacher(s') availability - but it can only help in so far as the remaining availability will allow I'm afraid. I don't know which school you're writing from so I'm saying this without knowing all the details, but if you pop the school office an email, especially if you can't come at the only times remaining, I'm expect they'd try to make special arrangements for you.
