Extremely bad customer service

Extremely bad customer service. If one of your payments is declined they wait 5 months to phone you when they could have emailed, sent letters etc but they dont. They wait 5 months before informing you of a missed payment so they can default you on your credit score even though all your further payments have come out absolutely fine! AVOID like the plague!! they just want to ruin your credit score for 6 years!!

I applied few months back and was…

I applied few months back and was refused , but my circumstances changed and I have an unexpected expense. After applying again, they said i was accepted for (not going to say the amount) half hour later it was in my account. No hassle, no asking for more info, straight forward no questions asked. And if it wasn't for this company helping me out, I be having more anxiety and panic attacks. They came through where no other company could. So can't see where all the negative comments are coming from. If you didn't meet the criteria then that's nottheir fault, they have company guidelines to follow plus, FCA guidelines, and let's face it they don't want to end up like wonga did. And if you did get a loan from OnStride don't speak bad of a company who helped you and may have pulled you out the crapper!!

Absolutely shocking service

Absolutely shocking service. Worst customer service advisers I have came across. Said they had attempted to take payment from my account but it was declined so they took it the next day with a £15 late payment charge added. Contacted my bank who stated no attempt was made by onstride the day previous. 3 phonecalls later and 2 emails and still no refund. Also added a late payment notice on my credit file. STAY CLEAR!!!!!

just spoke to the only manager named James

just spoke to a unprofessional named James who claims to be the manager for pounds to pocket. Claims that he is he only manager there , so he clearly runs the show. A shut show at that . I have never been cut of and talked over so many times , and to be honest was a really bad experience. I am currently trying to deal with difficult circumstances and they simply treated me like a piece of nothing . I will personally request not to speak with either of them specifically the manager James who to be honest I wouldn't employ in a million years working in corporate sales offices all my life. Pathetic customer service.
Disgusting company behaviour , they need to be investigated

Absolutely a bunch of liars

I have a loans with them, I had missed a payment but I tried to contact them more than a week before and they never bother to answer, since I had surgery on my mouth I couldn't talk of the phone, when I managed to talk I was assured that no late payment would listed on my credit report because I called on time and re arrange a payment, well they reported late payment as a month late even if I paid early then a month, plus they pretend to be on the right, but what about the fact they guaranteed me that no late payment would listed, what about the many many emails without any response.
Really AVOID AVOID AVOID AVOID, the good reviews probably are their employees.
And I won't surprise they will reply to this review with fake reasons and pretend to be right

I contacted this company as I have…

I contacted this company as I have recently separated from my partner and now need to cover rent/bills alone, advised i will really struggle to afford next month's payment and wanted to discuss a possible payment arrangement. Was asked to complete a income and expenditure form and by return received an email saying the whole balance was due because I had defaulted and payment was due immediately. I haven't missed a payment and I have contacted 3 weeks prior to another payment coming out to avoid getting into a mess. Disgusting treatment.

Apllied for a credit while no one else…

Apllied for a credit while no one else wanted to give me it (despite of being 100% eligible to get it anywhere). Got decision and money in about 10 minutes, so far so good, no problems at all, and everything seems to be smooth. And thanks ot them my credit score have just improved that I am able to get credit in other companies, just like that (beforehand they usually wanted an additional guarantor, but not anymore).

I dont really get all of those negative ratings with people waitting "ages" it seems that they didn't meet the expectations to get those credits. So they are writting bad reviews - how adult like it is!

Terrible company

Terrible company. Avoid like the plague. I have paid loan settlement. They owe me refund of over payment but no one will contact me. Apparently only managers can phone customers (presumably because the customer service dept is based in US). I have emailed daily with no response. Will contact my solicitor now to take action. Financial Ombudsman also being contacted. Disgusting service.

4th time to make you see sense! DO NOT USE

Applied, application got withdrawn so they told me to apply again, applied again, again got withdrawn so they said it had expired and I needed to apply again, applied for a THIRD time, again got withdrawn with no reason so got told yet again to apply, within 2 hours my application had yet again been withdrawn with no decision met and no reason as to why it’s been withdrawn. Clearly not a properly run business as they can’t even give customers a decision.

Awful company

Awful company! After my loan application was submitted, I would be waiting ages maybe...they suppose to make a decision within 30 minutes,but...nothing! I called them, they ask me for the proof of ID, I have sent it by email, nobody answer at that email adress...after 3 hours and a half...no answer. I called them again, they ask a lot of information, after that they declined my loan!

Very good company overall

Very good company overall, had a loan out with them and hit some difficulties in repaying. Spoke to them on the phone and explained my situation to which they put me on a 30 day freeze (breathing space) to which then I was able to pay off the loan in full (for a very reasonable price may i add)

would recommend, customer service is based in America I believe and they were very professional when on the phone to me.

IUL NOT Meant For Premium Finance and You WILL Lose Your Money!

Stride is a ripoff company selling an IUL with Premium Finance. As someone who has been in the business for over 27 years and watched what happened to IUL based Premium Financing back in 2008-2009 let me explain what will happen to you. #1 IUL was NEVER designed to be used for Premium Financing so it is like using a Clydesdale as a race Horse. It was not built to race and an IUL was not built to be used for Premium Financing. Why? #2 The program offered is based on the fact the market NEVER has a down turn. This is never going to happen! With a down turn in the market your cash is eaten up inside the policy to make up for the shortfall rate you were supposed to make to keep the policy enforce. #3 ALL an IUL is, is term insurance. Who ever tells you it is not is lying. Look at the insurance costs on the far right of your illustrations. As you get older the insurance costs rises and eats up the cash in the policy. That means your retirement is eaten up. When asking Stride Agents WHY they sell IUL's when they know it is the wrong program they have stated "because of the huge commissions" ANYONE using Stride to do this program or using ANY company that uses an IUL to tie to Premium Financing is getting taken. Many Agents who sold this garbage in 2008 and 2009 were sued over selling it. Do NOT be a victim, do not walk, run from them or anyone else selling this crap!
