Zero stars

Appalling company! Terrible communication and zero cares given by this joke of a company. So pleased you have gone into administration so you can’t worm your way into vulnerable customers lives, prey on people and take no responsibility for your mistakes. I put in a complaint of irresponsible lending 12 weeks ago. Declined outright and then When I appealed you put every single obstacle in my way. Asking for wage slips and bank statements for the duration of all my loans and the 6 months leading up to it . Just basically hoping I will quietly go away. I WILL NOT. All documents sent and appeal process began with 8 week deadline for decision. Now 12 weeks later and emails getting ignored and zero communication. You really are a disgraceful company!

Wow what a dreadful company to deal with! I do not have an account with them but just wanted some generic information from them about an account one of my clients has, not specific info about said clients account! They are aggressive and rude on the phone and couldn't be any less helpful. I am embarrassed for them! If this is their customer service when nothing is wrong, then god help you if you have a problem with them! if you ever need tips on how not to deal with the general public then give them a call for a training Masterclass!

Credit default removal

I was disappointed to learn I have a default on my credit score which I was unaware of until a year after I’d completed and left the contract.

Overall I was happy with their service and would have used them again but the fact that they outright refuse to remove it seems very unfair.

I had fallen behind on the final two payments as a result of a bad payer withholding money from me. I’d notified them at the time to Explain I would need more time and they agreed to freeze collection for an agreed time.
I settled up within the agreed time and thought very thing was fine.

I later found out they had continued to try and collect this payment numerous times during the agreed frozen period and load of £0 balance payments after I’d settle the whole loan.

This seems like a mistake and a bit harsh considering I’d never missed a payment prior.

So I wrote in to see if they can remove this as this is the only default I have.
They responded and flat out said no with no real reason for doing so.

This is completely out of order as it couldn’t be help at the time and I informed them straight away.

They could easily take this off but are just refusing to so to anyone thinking about taking a loan out with them, I wouldn’t.

I took a £500 loan out some months ago

I took a £500 loan out some months ago. Then I found myself out of work and struggling financially. They were really helpful and listened to my woes and were sympathetic. I spoke to Crystal firstly and she was so helpful because I was upset at my lack of work status. She put me through to Collections and now they have suspended all payments and I can fill out an affordable plan until my work gets back on track. All very helpful and cooperative with a professional outlook.

They marked me late for THEM not taking the money which was in the account

I took out a 12 month loan, my second to last payment they mark as late on my credit file, I never changed or cancelled the direct debit.

The first I knew was when I checked my bank on the monthly payment date, funds were still siting in my account.
When I logged into my account said 'Loan Overdue', so called them and made payment by debit card straight away. The CS person assured me, no late payment marker as nothing changed and I paid the same day.

My credit file updates a few weeks later and they have marked my payment as late.

Underhanded tactics to say the least, not sure what they can gain from this, but I am not paying the last payment.

Take me to court and I will let the court know with the evidence I have from my bank to back it up.

They also gave me a £1000 loan while not working and unemployed, only had a few hundred in the bank at the time as savings. Irresponsible lending at it's finest!

Worst company ever preying on hard up…

Worst company ever preying on hard up people. My daughter placed a loan on hold for two months due to being furloughed. She has now been hit with nearly £150 interest!!! At no time was she told interest would continue to accrue just that the account was on hold. They weren’t prepared to waive the interest. AVOID AT ALL COSTS

False late payment fees

Well they've gone bust. Now they're deliberately not requesting the direct debit payments from the bank and slapping customers with late payment fees.

AVOID AT ALL COST

They shafted my credit score big time. They set up my direct debit on the wrong day to what the account showed the day owing. Even though they always got there money it went into there account 48hrs too late (there fault) but they always instantly put a report on my credit file as a default and late payment. I have to carry that for another 5 years and the 12 month loan was paid off in full after 5 months, they never put that on my credit file. AVOID THEM AT ALL COSTS

Avoid this company!

I got a £450 loan out around 5 months ago and was not able to make payments.

I rang up their support team and wanted to setup a payment plan they said my account needs to be in arrears before a plan can be setup which is just stupid in itself.

I defaulted on the payment and wasn't able to get a plan setup until I threatened to take them to FOS. Today I made a final payment of the full balance to close my account.

Can see why this company was shut down!!!!!

Complained about irresponsible lending…

Complained about irresponsible lending from Pounds to Pocket (on stride's previous name), adjudicator found them to have lent numerous loans irresponsibly. Adjudicator recommended refunding several loans interest and charges. On Stride/Pounds to Pocket refused that finding and appealed to the ombudsman for a review. Ombudsman agreed with adjudicator that On Stride/Pounds to Pocket *did lend irresponsibly* and upheld the findings. Company agreed to pay *what they owe* on 17th Sept. It's now 23rd Oct and still no payment.

The truth, simple, of the matter is that they do owe me that money, they did lend irresponsibly and they are now, it seems in the process of dragging the process out as long as they possibly can. I'm planning to leave a couple of bad reviews a day until they pay what they owe. It's bad enough that they have lent money to people who cannot afford it, but to then do their best to stall paying back what they owe is just annoying. If I were on the market for a loan I would certainly look to some of the other companies - they also have historically lent irresponsibly but when they have to make a refund, they just do it with good grace instead of holding the process up like Pounds to Pocket/On Stride. Avoid at all costs.

Rang today to say I carnt pay on Friday…so unhelpful

Rang today to say I carnt pay on Friday close to doing a dmp or even voluntary insolvency, asked if we could make a payment plan like my other creditors have and was told no! U need to default first and we will pass you over to our other department! Why make me do this when a plan could have been set up, didn’t want to no circumstances didn’t care and was so unhelpful, so iv had to cancel my direct debit and now need to wait to default so they can add all the extra charges before they can assist

What a crap loan company had a loan…

What a crap loan company had a loan over 11 months made regular payments for the 10 months then on the 11 th month they did not go into my bank for the last payment so they rang me up to say they did not collect the money and they then walloped me nearly £100pound for a late payment. So when I rang them back up and asked have you done this on purpose so you could get more money out of me because I had not missed a payment in ten months and you like people to miss a payment to get interest added on she refused to speak and put the phone down on me shall not be using this crap firm again just want to Rob the poor man in the street.
