Impressed with Online Carpets
Impressed with Online Carpets, price was much cheaper than Tapi even once I’d found and paid a local fitter. Delivery was in a good time and items arrived in good condition and correct.
Special shout out to Louise in the customer service team who helped to change the colour of one of the carpets I ordered when it came back into stock a day after I’d placed the order for a different colour! She was really helpful and it’s nice in this day and age to speak to a real human rather than someone reading off a script.
Next time we need a new carpet I’ll definitely be checking out these guys first.

I have ordered on a friday some laminate which was available online!!!! Then on saturday a person calls me an say “there is no stock of that colour” (why the f…. it was available online then???) so I say ok let me choose a different colour, he replies since i have paid via Klarna he can’t make the change of the order so it has to be canceled. But guess what??, they don’t have the other colour either. Sure let me choose a different product (3rd compromise). Order canceled and i place the new order. 4 days passed and not a single clue when is my order getting delivered. It was free since order over 249£, 2-5 working days delivery (there is a paid service that takes 2-3 days - 14,99£) but they state if you order after 12pm the procesing day is the next working day. I call them on a thursday to chase it up and the lady states that my procesing day would have being tuesday since i ordered on saturday (initial order was FRIDAY). So obviously they waste couple days for nothing and then barely plan to fit in the last possible day unless you use their paid service. How ridiculous that sounds. They work on saturday, but they don’t process and deliver on a weekends. Then they book your delivery as i said the last day and demand your presence so you can HELP the driver since he is by himself (HAHA). I would NEVER deal with them again and seriously consider returning the goods to them (still waiting to check the quality).

I'm disabled so unable to go out and buy wherever I want to so find the fact that I can have free samples really great. I've bought both carpet and laminate. Service is great and delivery is great.
Bought some vinyl and it’s damaged.
Bought some vinyl. Website easy to use.
Vinyl took nearly 3 weeks to come, not as was on their page. Had to phone and complain as we were going away, asked them to either deliver before or after our holiday, what did they do ….. deliver while we are away. Our carpet layer has arrived and the vinyl has knife cuts over a large area of it and customer service (if there is one) are being difficult. Just want a replacement that’s all. So beware.

Extremely disappointed
Extremely disappointed with both the customer service and communication from Online Carpets.
I placed an order on Saturday 13th based on the website stating delivery would take 2–5 working days. As a customer, that reasonably led me to expect delivery by Friday. However, when I contacted customer services, I was told by (a man who I’m unalloyed to mention due to the online carpet people flagging my review as they can’t accept facts) that the order would not arrive until Monday.
The issue wasn’t just the delay – it was * Man * attitude. He was rude, sarcastic, and repeatedly implied that I should have known the order wouldn’t arrive within the timeframe advertised because there were supposedly “big red letters” explaining this on the website.
After this conversation, I went back to the website and even completed a test order to check. There were no big red letters anywhere stating what * Man * claimed. What I did find was the delivery information clearly displayed in big green letters stating 2–5 working days. If customers are expected to see additional information, it certainly isn’t obvious.
When I questioned this, * Man * sarcastically commented that the website team would need to fix it and claimed I was apparently the only customer who had ever had this issue. Rather than listening to a genuine concern, he was dismissive and argumentative.
What made this even more frustrating is that when I later spoke to another member of staff, A wonderful Man who I also am sadly unable to mention but deserves credit, the experience was completely different. He was polite, understanding, and actually offered to contact the shipping department to see if anything could be done. The Nasty Man, on the other hand, stated that he “knew for a certainty” that nothing could be done and couldn’t even be bothered to make the same enquiry.
This highlights that the problem was not the company’s processes, but Nasty Man lack of customer service. The kind man demonstrated that it takes very little effort to show empathy and at least try to help a customer. Nasty man chose not to.
Customers should not be spoken down to for relying on information displayed on a company’s own website. The delay itself is disappointing, but the rude, sarcastic and unhelpful attitude from Nasty Man made the experience far worse than it needed to be.
Credit where it’s due: the kind man was professional and helpful. Unfortunately, nasty man conduct completely overshadowed that positive interaction.
I would strongly suggest Online Carpets reviews both its website information and the standard of customer service being provided, as this experience fell well below what customers should expect

Shortfall in the length of the vinyl delivered
My order of sheet vinyl from Online Carpet was delivered on the date and within the time specified. I'm very grateful to the delivery man for carrying the vinyl into the block of flat and placing it on the ground floor.
After getting help to carry the vinyl up narrow stairs to my second floor flat with great difficulty, I discovered that the vinyl length was slightly below what I ordered. I informed Online Carpet of the shortfall in the vinyl length.
The company apologised and offered to collect and replace the vinyl. I declined the offer because I didn't want to go through the hassle of getting the vinyl to the ground floor for collection and getting the replacement up to my flat. Furthermore the shortfall in the vinyl length was within the wastage allowance.
I thank Online Carpet for delivering my order quickly and within the time stated, and for offering a solution to the shortfall in the length of the vinyl delivered.

Health and safety training
Great price and speedy service but the company let them self's down on Delivery sending one man to lift a 71 kilo 4mtr x 6.1 m carpet into a pensioners awkward property, maybe some health an safety training on weights wouldn't go a miss at management level.
