I thought I was paying £58.99 for the whole package including the meal planning exercise plan. Turns out I was only getting daily lessons which I thought I’d get every day for 12 months but I’ve now finished all of the lessons in 30 days!!!
I also got the water log reminders, calories log just the basic things you can get on my fitness pal that is free. My fitness pal includes meals on their platform. Upon looking again it said I needed to pay an extra £48 for the extras!! Very misleading.

My experience with the OMO app has been deeply frustrating and financially upsetting. I signed up for what I believed was a month-long free trial, only to be hit with unexpected and exorbitant charges totaling £40.69 (£17.77 twice and £5.15 once). This is an outrageous amount to pay for a simple calorie-counting app.

What's worse is that these weekly charges were initiated without my explicit consent or any notification after the trial period ended. There was no prompt asking if I wanted to subscribe. This feels like a deliberate tactic to mislead users into unwanted subscriptions.

Like many others, I am now facing unexpected deductions from my account. I demand a full refund for these unauthorized charges. Based on the numerous similar complaints online, OMO's billing practices appear highly questionable and user-unfriendly. Steer clear of this app unless you want to risk being caught in their costly and deceptive "free" trial trap.

Misleading prices and what they actually do

I signed up for a trial that cost 30, was dissatisfied that it seems to only be a good and water tracker? So I figured oh well at least it's only 30... and then I saw a 66 dollar charge on my account! So that trial price was apparently a lie. And they were going to charge another 66 in 3 months! Good thing I looked. Seems a little scammy

Easy to Use/Some Improvement Needed

I have used the OMO app since Feb 24th; it has been easy to use and I like how it helps me be more accountable to my portions, time I eat, steps done, hydration. The daily reads don't overload you with information like some other apps and are easy to digest/understand, have some great tips, and doesn't take up too much of my time.

Where I see improvement needed: 1) Does not appear to provide individual plans based on all the information provided by the user. 2) App changed from proving me the expected break-down for each meal to justs the overall daily break-down (cal, protein, fat, etc) 3) Meal finder items listed, though plentiful, I find many times than not, the caloric intake and makeup of the food items are off (probably due to people entering incorrect numbers/percentages).

Overall, I have decided to continue my journey with Omo for a bit longer. This is a basic weight loss tool. If you are expecting quick weight loss results, and don't take to heart the educational tips, you may be disappointed with this app/program.

On a final note, so far I have not had the issues others have had regarding subscription payment. Though the "trial periods" seem to vary a lot as do the prices; definitely something to consider. I was told about the automatic subscription renewal; too bad you can't turn that off, as I like many, will forget about it.

Customer service was exceptional

Customer service was exceptional! I've read other reviews but I had a totally different experience. They were responsive (less than 12 hours, sometimes as short as 3 hours) to respond. I loved the scanning option for recording my meals/drinks, as well as utilizing the database of what others have already scanned in - most the time I could just type what I ate and it had already been programmed in. It also remembered what foods I recorded prior and kept those selections at the top of my search. The only reason I canceled was because my company has an app that allows me to manually enter in my workouts - Omo has this feature too, you just have to upgrade your plan.

I feel so confused, I signed up for the 4 week trial for £15 as that's all I can afford and then my bank contacts me to say you've tried to take out £48! I wouldn't have signed up for that. How the hell do you contact anyone for a refund or to raise a complaint. I panicked and deleted my account. I will recontact my bank and let them know it's a scam and make sure they are are blocked

SCAM. I have had £38.95 taken from my bank…

I have had £38.95 taken from my bank account for a subscription that I have not subscribed to or never heard of.
On the email from this company, they have no personal information (name, billing address etc) but used an email that I do not use for anything that I would ever subscribe to.
This has left my account overdrawn.
I can not afford this.
Can anyone help me with this as when I tried to go through the link from my email, they request my name etc which I am not comfortable with😒

Be warned

Be warned, I signed up, wrongly thinking I was receiving a tailored plan based on my assessment. Basically just got the app which counts calories and tracks progress which I’m more than capable of using and further “adds on” required and more and more cost. This was mis sold and their policy is clear no refunds. Utter scam and waste of money.

Got refund

Please watch out when you do one time purchase there is auto renewal as a default which you cannot see and they will charge you 66 euro!!!! Without your permission. I am so mad don’t know what to do, anybody had the same problem and could you solve it?

Horrible unauthorized charges

Signed up for a 3 month trial and was charged for 6 months after my first month.
Repeatedly emailed customer service and was provided with their policy about automatic renewal. I did not sign up for automatic renewal and cancelled my membership after 1 month and 5 days.
it’s horrible that this company is charging customers with unauthorized debits!

They will charge you but not provide the service

Took a subscription out for 1 month due to an upcoming vacation. Put all the details required and paid for the 1 month at £15. OMO then advised that I had to log into the app to find details of my subscription. The app would not allow me to log in as my email or password was incorrect baring it mind I had just confirmed the details to pay the subscription. Highly wouldn’t recommend scam of a company.

Unauthorized charging

I signed up for one week on 3/3/25 which they billed me for and on 3/7/25 they were billing me for a month which I did not authorize. I information I received from the site was not anything I didn’t already know and the charts to record your food diary was every generic and not very helpful. I felt like I wasted my money. It was just not helpful. And charging me again before my week was even up was just plain wrong.

This company is a scam

This company is a scam, stay away to save yourself trouble. They take your money, then you get a QR code that does not work, you try to reach them, they eventually response they have a high volume of inquiries. If you ask for a refund, they say it takes 5-10 days (however, they probably invest the money for a week and make a profit, you can buy stocks and sell, if you have a high level scamming ability), I still have not gotten my refund. Save yourself the headache, there are ethical and real companies out there, you do not need this hassle.

Simple, but struggling

Love that it's easy to track meals, weight, water intake. But with the foods I'm struggling because the things I scan are coming up with incorrect serving/calorie info compared to the packaging.
