We slept happily on our first Obasan mattress for over 20 years, and now we are on our second. We also purchased Obasan mattresses for our elderly parents. Incredible materials and workmanship, matched by local manufacture. How can you beat that? The price is nothing to sneeze at, but the quality is superb. Since I spend a third of my life on a mattress, I might as well sleep on a Cadillac.

Love my Obasan mattress and bedding, including pillows bought from Obasan! It's great to know that the material is natural, made in Canada, and non-toxic. Could not imagine a better product. And dealing with John is a definite plus: great service on purchase and terrific follow-up. I would recommend Obasan to anyone and have talked glowingly about this to several friends. I strongly recommend an Obasan mattress, my only regret is not buying one sooner! John was amazing, answering every question, sometimes more than once. The customer service was and is outstanding. I sleep better than I ever have and wake up feeling rested. This is one of the best investments I've made!

My first Obasan was a Sleeptek, which I think was the budget brand of Obasan but Obasan no longer makes them. The Sleeptek bed is now 7 years old and still incredibly comfortable and supportive.

We have had Obasan beds for a few years now. They are the best mattress system out there between the organic natural materials and the custom comfort system designed for each person’s body type. My husband and I credit our Obasan bed for giving us the most restful sleep every night, far beyond any other mattress out there. We feel it has played a big role in maintaining a healthy life balance for us. No matter how challenging life can be at times, climbing into an Obasan bed makes one feel immediately comforted.
Waking up every morning we feel really grateful for another restorative night’s rest, ready to start the day. Even when we go away and stay in nice hotels, we look forward to getting back to our Obasan bed. The company is wonderful to work with. John and Adrian are a joy to deal with. The service is courteous, prompt and friendly. When the delivery arrives the beds are put together efficiently. The mattresses and foundations have a 20 year limited warranty as well. I had research several companies before deciding on our second organic mattresses. Since my two sons have been born I felt that it was especially important for them to sleep on a healthy mattress as opposed to one that had chemicals considering the many hours they spent sleeping and napping. I have had nothing but great experience with Obasan (given previous Organic mattress purchases). They prices are reasonable and I especially like that John took the time to understand Us to get a better idea on what type of mattress we need. That was exceptional customer service. I will definitely be purchasing from them again and have recommended to family and friends. Thank you John for your help.

We purchased two crib mattresses from Obasan and we are thrilled! Knowing our babies are sleeping on safe, organic mattresses was super important to us. We are very happy to have a local manufacturer of organic beds. Also, we can't say enough wonderful things about the rep, John. He was very knowledgeable, honest and incredibly kind. Found Obasan while researching natural latex mattresses on the market. They are Canadian custom made, certified organic by independent certification bodies and chemical free. Adult mattresses come with a 20 year warranty coverage. The greatest advantage is that it’s modular allowing for easy adjustment of mattress components within a zippered mattress casing. Purchased in 2018 and all components still look and feel like new. Also purchased the organic wool topper to aid with pressure points support. Best sleep comfort ever! Bed will not move once in place as latex pieces altogether provide heaviness. Additionally purchased the organic wool pillows. Dealt with John who provides the utmost customer care! Best investment made so far! The same purchase was recently made for another family member. Proud to be part of the Obasan family.

It was love at first night 💙 I am delighted with my Obasan mattress, mattress cover and my amazing pillows! Their quality is unbelievable. I honestly have a the best relationship with my Obasan bed. I love the wool and rubber, the natural feel to the bed and the way I can rest easy knowing that there is no off gassing or fire retardants or anything that adds to toxic load we all face in this world. I have the best sleeps and I barely want to go on vacation just for the fact that I will miss my bed and my great sleeps. This bed has been so worth the investment, I have never regretted it. I also appreciate the company, their environmental ethic, their social ethic - I think I sleep better just knowing that I put my money into repsposible business like Obasan. We've enjoyed our Obasan mattress since 2016. One of the best purchases for our home that we've EVER made. We had an unfortunate potty accident (thanks toddler!) on the bed recently. Contacted Obasan via their website and was taken care of by Darlie. He was so helpful and caring through the process of figuring out a replacement part! Worth every penny!

After much searching I found the Rest House bedding store in Duncan, Vancouver Island, BC and with their help and lots of trying different bed configurations finally decided on the perfect combination of firm and soft to support my ailing back. I am thrilled with the choice and look forward to many years of good sleep. To my surprise a parcel arrived with a beautiful wool blanket from Obasan! Totally unexpected and great customer appreciation. I have no hesitation in recommending Obasan and it is also comforting to know their products are organic and breathable.

In recent years I’ve worked to reduce toxins in my home. Along with that came the realization that what I lay on for 8-10 hours a night probably was a critical element in that effort. Enter the Obasan mattress. Organic, Canadian, modular, and comfortable. (Read: I sleep like a bear in winter.) I love my mattress.

The Obasan brand has also impressed me with how they’ve focused on the customer experience. (Did you notice I said modular? That’s innovation!) This week though, I received a gift via UPS ... and I’m full-on delighted! A 100% wool throw I didn’t know was coming. I’ve had the mattress 4 months. So impressed! Thank you Obasan!

Choosing the right mattress is not always an easy decision. Our first experience with Obasan was at their very beginning when the company was called Sleeptek. It was a great mattress and when we needed a new mattress recently, we went back to that company who now focused on organic mattresses. The service is excellent from the moment you walk into their store, you are made to feel welcome and relaxed. We dealt with John who was knowledgeable and and was able to guide us through our purchase. We love our mattress and would highly recommend Obasan, both for its quality and its client service.

From the moment we walked into the store to when they came to set up our bed, we had the most impeccable service. We were looking for a non toxic bed, and stumbled upon Obasan in our research. We were helped in store by John, who was incredibly knowledgable and really help us to find the perfect "fit" for our bed. John was so patient with us, as we came back to the store multiple times to try the bed out. He even set up the nap room with our configurations so we could test drive the bed. What amazing service! We have now had our bed with custom pillows for 7 months and we still love going to bed every night. Thank you so much to John and the Obasan team!

In our quest for toxin free sleep we found Obasan In Ottawa and took a tour of their factory and store in 2013. Super impressed, we ordered a bed right away and still have that same bed today, in 2019, with no sign of it loosing the amazing comfort and support we experienced on our first night. In fact, we love Obasan’s product line so much, we bought three more beds, in addition to foundations, linens, pillows, toppers, and duvets for our B&B and all of our guests rave about the amazing sleep they have. Quite a few have also purchased Obasan beds for personal use after their stay with us. Darlie and the gang at Obasan Ottawa have A1 customer service dedication and I will never buy a different brand again. Thank you Obasan!

We love the customization of Obasan’s mattresses. Our experience with Obasan was exceptional. John was very friendly and knowledgeable, and he was always available to answer any questions that we had. We purchased our first Obasan bed six years ago and was very happy with our purchase.
