Appalling customer service. They moved my funds despite being told not to do so. They have had them back for a month and still will not give my funds to me. Do not trust these idiots. Customer service is in India so that will give you some idea of how much they care for their customers. Never get a call back despite promises. If you are about to be enrolled and it is Nest then good luck to you.
So I have now received a reply because I low rated them on Trustpilot. They are promising to look into things which they have done for the last month with no resolution. They are now asking me to ‘check’ my review. So I have. Nest make promises and do not keep them. No one has called to discuss. They will not let me speak to a manager or make a complaint unless it is in writing to head office. So my review is that I would give no stars if possible. Stop the platitudes and sort my problem out like professionals not like a fly by night outfit that you clearly portray.

My mother passed away in Dec 2025. Took me a while to have the strength to go through her things and deal with her admin. Anyway, finally got the courage to start the claim with Nest in March. Completed the online notification of reporting a death and supplied all the documentation. Then nothing from them for weeks. I waited the 10 days for them to look through it all and thought it would be straight forward as I am the only one claiming.
Then on a Saturday, weeks later, I received a call from one of their agents wanting to clarify and obtain details of a sibling that had passed after my mother and if I could send a death cert. I was so confused and hurt, it just brought my sorrow all up again. First, he dead 10yrs ago. Secondly, I do not remember having this question asked on the short death notification form I completed online. But according to the agent, it seemed I had ticked a random box to confirm that I had one who passed after my mother but also failed to answer he had passed away years ago before my mother. What a thing to forget, right! Informed him that it was an error, as was not really thinking straight at the time. But I still do not have any memory of such a question being on the form.
Anyway, that has been my only ever communication and contact, after my online submission, with them and I am still waiting for some sort of communication till today.
To say that I am angry and disappointed in the service is mild. I understand if you have questions, but really, the lack of communication, contact or progress notification is incredible. I have an account myself and shall be moving it to another pension provider. I would not want my next of kin to have to go through this lack of care and disregard that I am facing now. I really wish I did not have to deal with them at all, especially whilst still grieving the loss. It feels like an added weight, when I am trying to lessen it. If this company is a consideration for you, I would suggest finding another that would treat your family better.

Nest Pensions are making it unnecessarily difficult for my wife to transfer her pension elsewhere. They’re now insisting she fills out paper forms and posts them back — which feels completely outdated in this day and age. The process has been frustrating enough already, and to make matters worse, they’re also one of the more expensive pension providers around

Due to a fault with their website, a £2,000 contribution was processed three times, meaning an extra £4,000 was taken from my bank account. This was a month ago. I've been on the phone with nest maybe 6 times since then trying to get this money back. They told me last week the refund was 'being processed', and 7 days later it's still the same. It is a massive pain in the ass trying to get along with all this money missing and not knowing when I'll get it back. I'm really angry that after explaining this to them they still do nothing to return the funds in a timely way or even give me an idea of when I should get the money back. At one point they told me to email support about it. I didn't get a reply for over two weeks and when they did reply they told me that they couldn't help me or give me any information about my account by email... When I do get this money back I'll be moving my pension elsewhere. Their fees are high too. Nest sucks!

I was up to the 29/4/26 in a private pension Scheme with NEST my experience with NEST and treatment was disgusting. I did receive my money today after a battle the knock health wise NEST has done to me through this whole process is shocking. I am filing for compensation from NEST on everything to do from Start, Process, and health grounds. They dont deserve 1 star.
I currently have requested the total amount through incapacity and illness befor 55.
All paperwork has been completed on the 12/3/26 the main form part 2 that has to be signed off by a GP practice owner or partner was sent to NEST on the 18/3/26. I have just received it today they have sent me authoriseation letters with payment due in 3-5 working days from the 29/4/26.
I have even received a P45 from them tax paid i have returned messages emails alsorts even a payment reference number.
They were refusing to pay it on the basis that they want Part 2 done again by the GP they have it in there possetion to even get this stage. My account has been restricted to bear minimum the dashboard says we paid you on the 29/4/26. This date onwards i was no longer a member which means after 6/5/26 they were illegally with holding funds, they still up to 11/5/26 still wanted paperwork shocking HR needs to be stripped. Am glad i spent 15yrs as a HR manager up to May 24. I was telling NEST staff what they had to do next it was bonkers.
The last 8 weeks has affected my health in a bad way am diagnosed severe migraines. Restricted movement, stress anxiety. High blood pressure i cant function most of the time due to this they are not bothered 8 weeks i have endured this.
When i ring every person its a different story why its not paid i have emails saying process is fully complete no further information required not one of them is interested on the phone. It was only when i put my HR hat on that people started to stutter on the phone. I was put through to departments i couldnt prior get near shambles on a different level.

It started well, I sent all the certified documents until now keeps receiving the same forms to fills and asking me for the same documents again and again. They told me that they sent a letter for data verification or something like that told them that the post here is unreliable and International letter mostly never comes or with severe delay and asked them if I can have an alternative solution such as video call and requested a call back never heard anything, tried to call them no one picked up, sent severals messages on the secure mail no response but keeps asking me for the same thing. I nominated my partner still in the UK hopefully she will be able to get through for me. This is insane because I had hope that things will be easier but they seems to make everything so difficult and I don't have a big pot so I can imagine if my pot was bigger the stress, time and money on phone call from abroad. I am not happy at all . Now that I came in this platform and saw all the complaints I guess my chance of that to be sorted is slimming. No great...

Nest pensions are hands down the most woeful pension provider I've ever come across and I've been a Nutmeg, Scottish Widows, and L&G customer for years.
Customer support is genuinely laughable. I'm trying to transfer my pension out, and all I get is excuses and dodgy calls from an Indian call center.
If you're looking for a workplace pension provider, look elsewhere, unless you dislike your employees and want to annoy them by lumbering them with this utter joke of an outfit.
Nutmeg (now JP Morgan) is miles better. Deal with them.

Automatically enroll you without permission. Make it incredibly hard to opt out wasting a lot of time on the phone.
