On the whole it was a good experience but it wasn't made clear beforehand that the bank feed should not be connected before migrating data. As a result I had to use a second licence and waste the first one.

Sure this saved a bit of time
Sure this saved a bit of time, but I was staggered by how much manual checking and correcting of data had to be done after I switched from Quickbooks to Xero. Glad I didn't pay for it, would have expected a refund. Over-sold by accountants.

Sorry to hear you've had additional work to do as a result of converting. We try to be as open as possible that there will always be some tasks to complete following the conversion but usually they don't take too long.

We had used move my books previously…
We had used movemybooks previously and were impressed with their service and how quickly our account was set up, this time was no different! we had 3 accounts to move and they were all completed within hours - I can't recommend them enough!

Our Reconciling Bank transactions post-conversion task (https://movemybooks.com/knowledge-base/xero-reconciling/) includes steps to manually reconcile 200 transactions at a time. Even with 2 years of historic transactions it hopefully won't take too long to complete when reconciling 200 at a time.
