Great, very useful. Quotes did not come across.
Almost everything went well. MoveMyBooks will import 2 years worth of accounts free off charge from Kashflow to Xero, and I added an additional 3 years at £75 per year plus VAT, to make sure HMRC would be happy if they decided to audit the accounts. Almost everything came across - five years worth of invoices, contacts and purchases as well as all the historical bank transactions.
A couple of things did not transfer to Xero perfectly - the quotes did not come across. Also all the old bank accounts needed to be marked as reconciled. To be fair, MMB did warn about the latter issue before I started the transfer. They send a list of post transfer housekeeping jobs, which is helpful.
So, overall this was very useful if not quite perfect.

I cant make any sense of the books
I cant make any sense of the books, i have asked both xero and Move my books and both say its the other who should help.
I cant see why the conversion isn't accurate and despite me asking for a date of 2024 i have years and years worth of transaction back to 2013 unreconciled and unattached. Complete mess

Sorry to hear you've found things confusing. We can see a ticket you raised with our Support team enquiring about having too many transactions. This was understood to mean you selected a longer conversion period than required, as you indicated you only wanted data for 3 months. We suggested converting the data again, but didn't hear back from you regarding the inclusion of historic transactions.
We're happy to revisit this if you email support@movemybooks.com, but based on your comments and according to the records of your conversion, there appear to be invoices dating back to 2013 in your source system where no payments are allocated. Since they are unpaid in the source system they form part of your opening balances at your conversion start date and have therefore been included in the conversion.
I hope this helps explain that we've attempted to perform an accurate conversion that represents the source data in the destination (including the unallocated invoices outstanding at the conversion start date). To avoid us including these invoices, allocations of payments would be required in the source system prior to converting.
