Turned something stressful almost enjoyable!
Booked online but made 3 calls to adjust quotes prior. No lengthy waits, super helpful and friendly staff. Very prompt and clear with follow up actions and emails.
Highly recommend booking with them.

Fantastic customer service
Fantastic customer service. We'd been trying to book a motorhome and, thing high season, everything was sold out. Lewis actually called us and got our requirements, going off to find something that would fit our needs. We managed to sort everything out, going from "motor-homeless" to "motor-homed" in 30 mins.

We hired from this company last year…
We hired from this company last year using a six berth for 5 weeks in Australia, 4th time we have hired from this company. The van actually came from Autosleepers. The van was mechanically sound although the left indicator came up with a warning light every time we used it. the quality and upkeep on this was appalling. The ladder had no hooks to hold said in place. The TV never worked first nor last. Pieces of cover over corners were missing, making them very sharp if you brushed against them. The provided table for outside was broken and wouldn’t hold up the back legs, we were advised to buy a new one, took us most of the day in 40deg heat to get a replacement, which we did, but kept the table for our own use. The automatic step never worked. The basin over the toilet fell down often while using this. My sister nearly finished up on the floor when I braked one time because the Velcro under the cushions was non existing until I brought a staple machine and attached all the Velcro back in place. The gauges on the water tanks never altered, so there were times we were left with no water. The slide out door for the cups and glasses never had a latch, so flew open a couple of times while driving. I have presented these problems to this company, it has now been two months but I feel no satisfactory solution has been provided, just keep being told it is under review. I am sure nothing has been improved since then. My advice, use another company like we will for future hires.

While the vehicle was mechanically sound, we understand your concerns regarding its condition and fittings. As the motorhome was owned and maintained by the rental supplier, Autosleepers, all vehicle-related issues must be reviewed and addressed by them.
We can confirm that our team has followed up with Autosleepers multiple times and has escalated your feedback for investigation. Unfortunately, we are still awaiting the outcome of their review, which has delayed a final resolution.
We appreciate your patience and will provide further updates as soon as we receive confirmation from the supplier.

HOLIDAY RUINED
The motorhome we hired (and paid for in full) was not there when we arrived in Auckland! Our whole holiday could have been completely ruined. We were left to find a replacement motorhome ourselves (after being stranded at Auckland airport for over 10 hours) and we yet to receive a refund from Motorhome Republic. VERY UNHAPPY :-(

Great and quick pre-booking assistance
What truly made it easy was the rapid back and forth emails with Andreia, the person who kept responding to my never-ending inquiry emails before the booking.
It made the difference and gave me a sense of trust.

We have used Motorhome Republic for a number of years and have found them to be the best at what they do. Staff are always helpful and if they don't know something or if there is a problem they come back to us very quickly. Last year we need to alter our booking due to flights been changed this was done quickly &without problems. Motorhome republic don't have control over the rental places or RV supplied but are helpful if needed.

Maybe cheap but Terrible, Terrible, Terrible...
I rented a Polaris 4 between 2-7 November 2025.
The Positives:
The RV drove well and the cab was clean and in good condition.
The Negatives:
-The interior felt worn and untidy and al little dirty, with ripped seats, a broken rear table and filthy blackout blinds. Due to condition we decided to use out own bedding and towels.
-The toilet was not fully empty before we hired the van.
-The windscreen had three stone chips, one was particularly big (cracks extended +50mm)
-At least one electrical socket didn’t work.
-Both the TV and radio lacked signal with no instructions for retuning.
Our overall assessment of this rental was a real disappointment, particularly the internal condition.

I did sent a formal complaint, via email, and eventually received the following 'We want to extend our sincerest apologies for the issues you faced with your recent rental with us. We understand how frustrating and disruptive this must have been, and we truly regret that your experience with us did not reflect the high standards we aim to provide.
Please be assured that your feedback is incredibly valuable to us. We are taking your concerns seriously and are actively reviewing this situation to prevent similar issues from occurring in the future. Thank you for your positive feedback as well. We're glad to hear it drove well and the cab was in good condition.
