Had the pie meat and potato but was disappointed it was soggy and undercooked chips were nice also had jam roly poly which i dont recommend it was dry and
not what i expected glad it came with custard that's the only highlight

Mother Hubbard on Walford Road Birmingham. They started off well but slowly started to decline. The sizes of the fish becoming about a 3rd of what they once was.
Taking the costumer as fools by adding extra batter with hallow space in the middle.

Second visit in two weeks at Baildon outlet.
Two young uninterested girls serving, not very polite, got order wrong, fish undercooked again with soggy batter. Very disappointing to see such a large investment of capital about to be flushed away!!
Looking at other comments we are not alone.

Served me waferthin CRISPS as scallops. Then Argue back. Refuse to come out and even LOOK at what i'd been served. Shouting through the hatch. Gobby, Claiming '1t's what we always served - oh, we can do another but it's the Cutter. They are all the same' - so my MEMORY is at fault and I'm THICK too... RUDE, LAZY and a LIAR (young blonde woman) The counter staff were cringing. Great CC top notch.

WAS one of the best Chippies in HX. I've been going there over half a decade. Eaten THAT MEAL more than 50 times. They are expensive, always well worth it and the chips were good this time (not so with reviews below)
£4 is still a lot for the Tiny 'chip-sauce deal' their Scallop are the most expensive in the Area. Also normally worth it. Who is killing Your Business, Mother Hubbard?

I would give a lower ratting if I could. The fish and chips and other food I purchased was the worst I have had, the fish was that burnt you could not get the batter off it, the chips were like rubber and they did not even supply the Tartar Sauce that I ordered. Robbed again, utter disgrace.

Ordered £45 worth of food which arrived burnt and cold. Food was not servable at all and then customer service was rubbish and were not helpful at all if anything were rude! The food tasted bitter because of how burnt it was and no accountability was taken! The guy on the phone just kept referring to Uber. No apology no nothing. Don’t buy from here extortionate prices for disgusting food. Poor quality control if any at all tbh.

I was so disappointed with the food. It was a large portion but the fish and chips were tasteless. Was it the bland frying oil, I don't know. I tried to add some flavor with the vinegar but that looked and tasted watered down. I'm sticking to traditional fish and chips shop's.

A meal at Mother Hubbards is just a treat. There food is to the highest of standard and extremly fresh! Dont believe fake reviews that the fish was not good because let me tell you it is the best Fish and Chips your going to get with the lovley customer services.

Had a take away, chips where cold fish had a after taste and was extremely bland got 4 different sides every thing tasted salty I live 6 minutes away but every thing was still cold and dry NEVER AGAIN!!

Nottingham Branch. Over the last few months the large special fish & chips size has gone down smaller than a normal fish. The batter is greasy and do overcooked. Almost burnt fish. What’s happened? The fish used to be large crispy and portions were what they should be. Quality is zero! Step up the Game. We know the portions and quality had gone Downhill drastically!

The Fiery fish was absolutely awful, it was over fried and dried up, a total waste of money.

Fish chips and mushy peas at the Hemel Hempstead,absolutely perfect the staff were perfect too

Glasgow branch - bought fish and chips and found a hair in the food. Took a picture for evidence and the manager tried to deny. He was rude, obnoxious and refused to give us a refund. We came from quite a distance. Hair nets were not on properly and when this was pointed out the didn’t have a leg to stand on but still maintained they were in the right. Food was also poor quality and extremely greasy and burnt. Best to avoid. Overpriced and disgusting. Better and cheaper places in glasgow.

Went to Kingsbury Road Branch in Birmingham. We were greeted by Chelsea who was friendly, extremely helpful and as we ordered one special realised we were sharing and said she would put an extra plate on for us. We observed her cleaning the store from a few families and you would never know they had been there she was so efficient.
Food was cooked perfectly by Eesa. The batter was crisp and the texture was great, it was not oily and the portions as usual were quality. Food was delivered by Chelsea with a smile and she even checked back later to make sure everything was ok, We had a great experience and wanted to give credit to Eesa and. Chelsea.

Mother Hubbard's Flagship Store Birmingham
Terrible chips they were either dry or were the potato shavings which were fried hard and the batter on the fish was well oily. I wish I could post some photos of the food, it was really, really bad.
The woman serving the chips was not friendly, she was friendly to the other customers but I look different. She didn't speak to me at all, just handed me the bag and walked away, she did not thank me for my custom.
I would advise at dodging a bullet here.
