Just purchased a new 4 in 1 Mitox garden tool and used the hedge trrimmer part of the tool for the first time today. After starting without any issues initially, the engine cut out after a few minutes at least 30 times in the 2 hour period that I used it.
A neighbour has had his 4 in 1 tool for around 9 months and I've just learnt that he's experieced the same problem. Also, having reviewed this problem, it would seem that the engine failure is a recurring theme.
I am far from happy with this product which doesn't seem fit for purpose!

I bought this direct and delivery was very expeditious even during Covid. My first experience with other than light domestic electric tools. First impression of construction - not adequate if you want to use for day(s) a week but adequate for a few hours every few weeks around my wifes field (medium domestic?). Fired up with brush cutter and went through brambles behind stables ok but steep learning curve to a novice! Can't give five stars as I found the manual lacked clarity on head assembly - it was there but I had to think about it. I've seen many worse manuals though and look forward to seeing how we get on in future!

Had the Mitox 26 MT for 2 years and have consistently had problems with the motor. Will run for a few minutes then dies. Had it serviced twice and had to replace the pull start mechanism 3 times at a cost of approx. £75 for the parts and £100 for the services. The pull start has broken again and looking at alternatives as the repair costs keep mounting. The accessories are fine but the engine a disaster.

Got a leaf blower Sp26 select last August which worked ok at first although took a few minutes to warm up and get going but worked good after that probably used 1-2 times a week by the end of October it had got to the stage it was taking 10-15 mins to warm up and get going though it may have been cold weather ,but now may 2020 it will not tick over unless on full choke And just cuts out if you try to turn choke off had a similar issue with a strummer which was purchased around the same time is this issue that can be fixed?? I’ve always been loyal to a good company product but would be weary to recommend to a friend .....

I bought a Mitox petrol leaf blower 4 years ago and it's been so trouble free and easy to start, I'm going to get rid of my troublesome petrol strimmer (another brand) and am going ro replace it with a Mitox one.
I'm impressed with the build quality - end of.

Contacted Mitox a few days ago as my CS41 chainsaw, now just over 3yrs old, developed a misfire. The guy I dealt with could not have been nicer. He sent a new coil at no charge despite the machine being a little beyond warranty. I fitted the new coil in 10 minutes. Problem gone. Chainsaw as good as new ( and it's done a lot of work ). Great machines. Great people.

Superb buying experience. Ordered the Mitox MT28 strimmer just before midday. Arrived in perfect condition the next day. Everything in the box required and excellent instruction manual.

Arrived on time and easy to assemble. I had some trouble with the carburettor, which required adjusting, after a quick phone call, the special adjusting tool was immediately posted to me, on receipt a minor adjustment was all that was required for the machine to operate as designed. very impressed with the service.

Bought a Mitox 26MT-SP 4 in 1 petrol multi tool approximately 10 months ago. Having used only the strimmer and hedge trimmer parts of the tool around half a dozen times and left the tool in the garden shed until recently, the petrol engine now starts briefly but immediately dies when the throttle is applied.
Having researched other online sites and reviews, this particular problem has been occurring with this model and engine since 2013. I find it concerning that this Mitox product, costing between £250 to £300, is not lasting a gardening season!
In addition, this issue has consistently occurred over a 7 year period without Mitox addressing the problem. The manufacturer needs to sort this issue ASAP and honour the warranty that comes with this inferior product rather than attempting to wash its hands of this persistent problem.

Product arrived quickly, but was damaged on receipt. Unable to contact by phone or mail (understandable in c-19 circumstances). Hope to hear from them soon to rectify.

The product itself is exactly what it says. I ordered 2 x 1 Litre and even got a spray dispenser in the box.

But the reason for the low rating is because the company is profiteering under the guise of ensuring fair shares for all. Specifically, a pack of 6 x 1 Litre is a perfectly reasonable price - and is still post free. However the website won't allow you to order that and so you have to pay almost the same amount for just 2 Litres. What a shame!

The log splitter is of a solid construction and when working is most effective splitting logs with ease, although it is not a quick operation due to its safety system. I have split quite a few logs with mine but unfortunately after 4 weeks of good service it is no longer working. As soon as I try to operate it, it blows the, 30amp trip in my house. The advice given by Mitox
has been to increase the ampage on the board but I have been advised by an electrician that this is not safe.

Having bought a mitox hedge trimmer, it has failed after a few months. When calling the mitox warranty number there is only an answerphone. Having left two messages I have not had a reply. How do I go about getting it repaired or replaced under the warranty?

Brilliant service. Was kept informed. Ordered as a last minute present not realising closed for stock take. Was contacted straight away and informed and also offered that if I could wait a free gift would be sent. Was shocked but over the moon as for my dad who wIs equally as thrilled
