In the early hours of the morning, I faced the heartbreaking loss of my cherished dog, Luther, who had been battling a heart condition. His condition deteriorated so rapidly that he passed away at home. To my surprise, Millers of Wokingham offered a round-the-clock service and were just a short 15-minute drive away. Although I was unsure about calling them at such an unusual hour, my worries were unfounded. Lisa answered promptly, and despite having clearly disturbed her sleep, she was incredibly compassionate and assured me that this was their specialty.Bringing Luther there provided me immense comfort, knowing he was in a caring setting rather than struggling to find a suitable spot for him at home until morning. The entire experience was flawlessly handled from beginning to end, exceeding all expectations. Every detail was attended to just as I had hoped, and I wholeheartedly endorse this company. Their exceptional service is a testament to their dedication. Lisa’s help and warmth were invaluable, and I am deeply grateful for her support.
My beautiful soul-cat passed away on December 11th 2025, suddenly at 9:30pm. Despite the late hour, Lisa assured me that he could be brought and laid to rest in one of their beautiful private spaces for the night before his cremation the next morning. It saved me so much grief and worry not having to consider where would be a suitable place to keep my sleeping baby until most services opened the next morning, and also saved the potential destress of handling his body after the natural processes of decomposition had set in (if that is something you're worried about). The way I left him at Millers, sleeping peacefully and still warm, tucked in his flower-filled casket is how I will remember his last journey forever, and that is worth its weight in gold.
Lisa & the Millers team guided me gently through the process, allowing time for me to say my final goodbyes to my beautiful boy with all the patience and privacy in the world. The space Millers provides to say goodbye to your loved one is so calming, private and thoughtfully laid out, in a wonderful homey fairy-light lit cabin on a beautiful plot of land. The way he was handled was so respectful and gentle, he was treat with all the dignity a lost companion could expect and more.
Lisa even offered to take paw prints, which was a lovely gesture. I had his ashes back in the quality scatter tube I chose by the end of the next day, December 12th, and the communication through the entire process was calm and concise, leaving no panic or worry to be had. He even returned home with his own certificate ensuring he was cremated individually and with the utmost care. Knowing the ashes I received were solely his is so important, he was also cremated in his little wicker casket filled with herbs, offerings, flowers and intentions with no problem from the team.
I really don't have the vocabulary to express how wonderful this service is. It makes a very sad and heart-breaking time easier, knowing your pet is still loved, safe and sound on their final journey. I highly recommend Millers if you want your final goodbye to be stress-free and dignified - no upselling, no cold calling, no fuss. Just love and respect for your dearly departed.
Thank you, Millers. A million times over. <3
We truly appreciate the service, arrangement and warm asking from your team. I believe my pet will also happy from your last carrying.
Thank you to Lisa for the kind and compassionate service you showed on the worst of days. Being able to call and arrange cremation for my faithful and much loved old dog Bailey at short notice on a Sunday and the flexibility and understanding you showed made it so much less painful for us. I really appreciated the individual service and your caring nature made it so much easier to leave him with you to look after him on his last journey.
I would highly recommend Millers of Wokingham. We sadly lost one of our beloved guinea pigs after 6 years. Not only were they kind and caring, but also very accommodating which was much appreciated given it was a bank holiday weekend. The paw prints, forget me knots to plant and the certificate was a lovely touch - thank you.
I am extremely grateful to Millers of Wokingham for their kindness, support and respectful handling of every aspect of my darling Collie Cross Gypsy being with them. From the very first phone call, to picking up her ashes last Thursday, Lisa was absolutely amazing! It is family run business and they really do care!! They are highly professional, experienced, kind, compassionate and caring!!! Highly recommend!!!
Our dearest Philip departed for Rainbow bridge on 24/07/2025. Philip has been part of our family for 17 years. Millers of Wokingham cremated our Philip on 24/07/2025. There simply is not enough space on this review to list how wonderful and caring the team at Millers was. They treated our Philip with the utmost respect and dignity and explained that each animal friend that is cremated, is gently put into an individual, clean tray so that we can be sure that it is only our Philip’s ashes which we collected. We received a certification of cremation and the team enclosed a little clump of Philip’s fur (in a beautiful little glass bottle) and a footprint (the original ink print when it was taken). The urn is beautiful and very durable with a screw on lid. Millers kept us up to date every step of the way. Everything was done with so much love and care by this team. It is clear as daylight that they all love animals and we had peace in our hearts that Millers fully understood how much this animal child meant to us. I cannot recommend Millers highly enough. Thank you to you all. You made “saying goodbye” just that little bit easier.
Very sensitive and caring and couldn’t have been more accommodating in making everything as easy as possible. They did the ashes in 2 separate scatter tubes for us and the way the ashes and fur clippings etc are put in the personalised bag is really special. Lisa was so kind and helpful in every way .
Lisa was truly amazing, her empathy made the whole situation a bit more bearable. We drove from Oxfordshire to use Millers, their homely environment and round the clock service was flawless.
Our experience with Millers was brilliant, and Lisa was extremely helpful and supportive. It is never a service you want to find yourself using but the process was easy and relaxed, and it was lovely to feel like Lisa genuinely cared. The price was also extremely reasonable compared to many others in the area, which was one less thing to worry about.
I don’t know what I’d have done without this service. Having had to make the extremely painful decision to let my adored Alfie go, Millers excelled in helping me through. Heartfelt thanks.
Lisa and her team are phenomenal. Our gorgeous girl Vespa passed over rainbow bridge last week and within 2 hours she was collected from Mulberry House Vets. Lisa is so empathetic and caring, and kept us up to date the whole way in a lovely relaxed manner. Their premises is beautifully thought out with owners and their pets in their final moments in mind.
I wholeheartedly recommend this independent family business, they are absolutely fantastic and their services are so welcomed when it's finally time to say goodbye to your beloved pet.
When we knew the time was coming for us to have to say goodbye to our dear dog Ziggy (almost 17yrs old) we wanted to be prepared and make arrangements in advance.
We are so grateful to have found Millers who are a local family run business based in a beautiful, homely and peaceful, rural setting.
From our first contact Lisa so kind and supportive, sensitively guiding and advising us through our options after listening to our wishes.
Ziggy passed away peacefully in our garden a few days later...We contacted Lisa who was prepared with everything in place ready for us to take him to lay in rest in their quiet room where we were left to say our last goodbye's.
Lisa contacted us, as promised, the next day and we returned to collect his ashes which had been placed in the lovely bamboo memorial box we had chosen, along with an engraved plate.
We wanted the very best for Ziggy and Millers went above and beyond to carry out our wishes precisely, in a timely, caring manner. The extra personal touches were much appreciated too.
Thank you Lisa and Richard for all your kindness during a very sad time and for providing such a seamless service, we highly recommend you.
Having just lost my beautiful Burt cat of 17 years, Lisa contacted me to let me know she had collected him and he was safely in her care, Lisa's calmness, compassion and kindness was so reassuring to me on what was a very emotional day. I cannot thank Lisa and her family enough for making a very sad day a little more bearable. Forever grateful
Very efficient, kind and caring felt very well looked after and excellent personal service
Miller's went above and beyond would definitely recommend
Sadly I lost my beloved dog Luther at 2am in the morning. He had been ill with a heart condition for some time but went downhill so suddenly that he passed at home rather than at the vets. I was amazed to find Millers of Wokingham had a 24hr service and were literally 15 minutes away. I hesitated to call, I couldn’t believe they would be available at that time of the morning. I needn’t have worried, Lisa answered the call and though I had clearly woken her up she was so very kind and reassuring that this was what they do and nothing was too much trouble.
I took my boy straight there and felt relieved he was being cared for in a lovely environment rather than having to try to decide where was the best place to keep him at home until somewhere opened. The service from start to finish was simply perfect. I couldn’t have asked for more. My boy was looked after and every step was carefully followed as I wanted. I could not recommend this company more. What a beautifully put together service, please do not hesitate to use this wonderful business.
Thank you so much Lisa for all your help and kindness.
I have just picked up my beloved dog , Dodger.Lisa and Richard were compassionate and very understanding.Nothing was to much,l would definitely recommend them to anyone else in the same situation.
We recently lost our 17 year old dog Fred. Millers were recommended to us and they were brilliant. Reacting and dealing with everything so quickly and efficiently with care and compassion during a difficult time. Highly recommend. Thank you
We unexpectedly lost our pet snake late at night, and we didn't know what to do. Thankfully we found Millers of Wokingham which were open and ready to help, showing genuine compassion and care. They treated our snake with the same respect and empathy you’d hope for any beloved pet, which meant so much to us. We received his ashes the following day in a lovely box along with a certificate and forget-me-not seeds. Their kindness brought real comfort during a very difficult moment.
Thank you Millers, for everything.
Lisa made the whole experience of dealing with the loss of our 15yr old cat Jasper so much easier, nothing was too much trouble. Everything was completed in a very short time scale and we were kept updated every step of the way. The service provided was fantastic and Lisa is a wonderful person and so easy to deal with. Thank you
