Initially, the website was very easy and straightforward to use. The driving instructor was very nice and so far I am very happy with Midrive!

The business model of this company is to get you to have your first lesson as soon as possible so even if the instructor is grossly inept or actually just doesn't have availability for regular lessons, which it will take some time to find out, it will be difficult to get a refund. Of course they offer to give you a new instructor but in my experience this led to the same problems. So the first instructor I had seemed like a nice guy but he kept cancelling lessons last minute, or the final straw, he messaged me an hour before the lesson in the morning saying he'd overdone it the night before and could we make it an hour later. He also had unorthodox teaching methods such as constantly reaching over me to toot the horn if people weren't moving quickly enough when the lights changed. That's before his slightly racist rants about the area in which I lived... NOT cool. The next guy was more professional but I started from scratch. He undid anything I learnt with the previous person and in the end just wasn't available to book tickets for months, until he eventually suggested I get a new instructor. I don't know whose way is better but I know that 25 hours in I can't really drive. If you've had a really bad experience they will say, oh go on, go with one more instructor and if you're not happy with them, THEN we will offer you a refund. This is all part of the script and part of the model and is what's left me with a handful of hours change from my 30 and almost zero driving abilities. Basically Midrive doesn't care about you passing. It doesn't even really care about you being able to take your lessons. All it cares is about taking your money and 14 days lapsing after your first lesson, so they don't have to pay it back. It's really a better call to spend some time finding a good and reliable teacher through word of mouth.

An amazing app that incorporates all the essentials of driving, making it easy and simple for both drivers and instructors. The instructors are also picked out well and are consistent and encouraging in their approach to teaching. Overall would recommend to friends and family.

My instructor was amazing, he was great he went over all the basics with me and made me feel calm whilst I was driving.

Available lesson was found less than a week after I signed up. Instructor was very friendly and the booking feature was very useful.

Learning to drive is probably the most expensive lesson to take so choosing a good teacher is essential. Thanks to MiDrive I have the best teacher. Ive been learning for a couple of months and my confidence grows each lesson, the handy tips and little tricks to make manoeuvres easier to handle have been great, I can reverse with confidence and no shaking legs now! I wish I had found my instructor years ago but hopefully I become an independent driver soon.

Be careful buying packages Bought a £500 package for my son who couldn't do many lessons because of work. The credits expire and they give no warning, so they have banked a few £hundred for no services. Given that most of these packages are for young people, it is pretty shameful.

Despite the extenuating circumstances I explained, where two separate instructors did not show up for lessons, I was told essentially that I would need to pay for those times- as I would not be refunded unused credits. Despite having a money back guarantee on the midrive website, I was told I could not be refunded two unused credits as I was outside my 14 day window.

This policy rewards poor instructor behaviour and forces the customer to pay for their offences. I will not be recommending or using MiDrive to anyone in the future.

As someone new to driving (10 hours in), I find Midrive a great app for finding driving instructors in the local area. It's easy to track progress and provides a hassle-free experience. Will continue using the app.

My driving instructor is great. He is very furer and knowledgeable. Gives me a text to know how long he is going to be. Customer service was very helpful and solved hiccups up quickly very friendly

I'm extremely satisfied with the service I had received with Midrive. I had initially purchased a package as the price was very competitive in the area, this being Manchester. I had taken 10 hours out of 40 in Manchester. The instructor was fantastic at explaining all of the things I was to expect on the driving test and was really informative and supportive. There were a few issues with punctuality, but once I had gotten in contact with Midrive it was promptly resolved. The lessons were great aside from those issues.

Unfortunately, due to unforeseeable circumstances, I had to move back to London, and I was concerned that I was going to lose out on the hours that I had purchased in Manchester. However, once getting in contact in Midrive they were very quick in transferring me to an instructor near my location, all I had to do is pay the difference. I was absolutely relieved to hear that. I have nothing but good things to say about the service I had received, from the agents in the chats to the instructors I had been provided. Especially the instructor I was given in London. He was amazing! super supportive and helpful and made me feel at ease when I was stressing or panicking during my lessons.

I have now passed, which I did the second time around. I don't think I would have been able to pass as quickly if it wasn't for the fantastic service I had received.

I also forgot to mention that the application that is the main beacon for alerting you of booked lessons; is really minimalistic and straightforward to use, with many helpful resources when it comes to learning to drive.
Overall, I'm really pleased with my experience!

I think the app is amazing, had trouble with my first instructor. But Aimee in customer service helped me out so much and was very patient with me and all the emails I sent. I am now with a really good instructor and on my way to passing my driving test

The instructor was great, and the app was fantastic in scheduling lessons, being a point to communicate with the driving instructor and also tracking when/ where and how far you’ve driven.

However, the app did lag when reviewing the lesson which is meant to occur at the end of the lesson - where the driving instructor goes through all the different skills and assesses your performance throughout the lesson. I am using an iPhone X so not sure if this is a system or app issue.

My instructor Maytham Ibrahim is a brilliant!. He teached me slowly and has got lots of patient. I have passed my test first time and very pleased. I would highly recommended to anyone to learn from Midrive. !! 11/10 !!
