Poor avoid

They are very friendly and helpful when buying glasses from them I have previously bought 2 pairs. However if you have a problem with your glasses they do not refund you for them. Their customer care then becomes quite different. I would warn potential customers from purchasing glasses from them.

Flawless process

I purchased 2 pairs of Ray Bans from the company via their website. Great smooth process, my order was received in time and I’m over the moon with the products themselves and their packaging. Will purchase from here again, and happily recommend to friends.

Avoid...

This company formally named Chiswick Eyewear and it's sister company Fashion Eyewear in London. All of which I have had dealings with are owned by the same person

Like the other reviewer I had a similar experience when I purchased a TAG designer frame complete with progressive lenses. The lenses I was told would be fitted by the manufactures lab, yet they were misaligned, ill finished lenses with smears and they kept falling apart. After several returns and replacements they were no better and were constantly coming loose and fell to ground on one occasion.

Foolishly at the same time I also left a second pair of spectacles for refitting lenses when they gouged one of them, and placed the spectacles in a bag to hide the damage. On noticing this I went back to the store and they promised to replace the damaged lense and then conveniently lost my spectacles! It was then that I was told they always use their own onsite lab, so they had blatantly lied to me!

This matter dragged out for ages and I was offered a partial refund which they went back on and offered a lower amount, I left phone messages, emails and twitter messages that were never returned! So fed up I revisited the store to remedy the matter after promises to resolve the matter they went back on. Then after a further string of further unanswered messages I went to my credit card company whom stepped in. Thank heavens for Consumer Credit Act!

I agree with other reviewer you'll be better off in a Supermarket opticians, at least they reply!

www_maverickandwolf_com - After sales service stinks

Hi there,

This is to review my buying experience from www_maverickandwolf_com

i brought some sunglasses advertised from wowcher.

Seemed like a great deal, for some CK sunglasses.

I brought these in early November last year, and I hadn't used them very often due to usual UK weather.

in any case, they fell apart as a screw had come loose, and they fell to the floor. So my natural inclination was to contact Maverick and Wolf.

All seemed fine, they indicated a replacement might be necessary and asked me to provide pictures. For a premium make of sunglasses, I wouldn't of expected these to just fall apart especially after not wearing them so often.

in any case, I dropped off my sunglasses, and i got a written note indicating they will be repaired instead. Even after I stipulated they had fallen to the floor when they fell apart.

So all in all, they replaced a single screw and returned the item. However this time around there was a scratch on the lens, which wasn't there before.

I had approached them again, asking for advice. i recieved no reply ever since.

Needless to say, I won't be shopping with Maverick & Wolf any more. Failure to acknowledge a customer when they encounter any problems, especially when they market themselves to providing an excellent customer service.

Avoid this retailer at all costs, they don't add any value, better off going to a supermarket, at least they will act upon your concerns.
