After having some good purchase dealings with Mannys in Perth I am sorry to say that I had what I would classify as the worst experience. I recently bought a pedal which I thought performed a certain function. When I discovered it was not the right pedal for me, I took it back the next day for another model which cost more. I was told there was a balance to pay although it was calculated so the new product was not price matched whereas the return was price matched against a competitor's price. When I alerted to this I was told to speak to the manager who proceeded to go through a long winded justification as to why the price match was not going to happen for the new product. The excuses included
- the shipping cost was not included, as it turned out free shipping included which was pointed out
- the price was below their cost price even though competitor has openly advertised the price
- its at their right to not price matched at his discretion which could be prejudice
This was bizarre ‘aggressive’ behaviour from supposedly the manager who tried every ‘trick’ unconvincingly to convince me he was ‘right’. When I checked the competitor price included free shipping, he seemingly refused to accept his own request to find out the shipping cost. In what I would call a ‘moronic’ stance he persisted to push his non sensical, non logical attempted persuasion. I decided to get my money back and go elsewhere, if a manager exudes this type of bizarre behaviour towards previously loyal customers, its not a business I want to deal with in future. I felt there was an attempt to take advantage of an error I made by inadvertently buying the wrong pedal.
Great music store - excellent product list and efficient ordering and delivery!
My order arrived on time and in good condition. Website was easy to navigate and place an online order. Mannys are my online goto music store.

I recently bought a keyboard from Mannys Sydney for around $400 and the whole experience was excellent. The staff took the time to ask what I actually wanted to do with the keyboard, showed me a few options in my price range, and gave clear, practical advice instead of pushing the most expensive model. They were patient while I tried different sounds and features, and never made me feel rushed or pressured to decide. As someone who cares about both value and getting the right gear, I really appreciated how friendly, knowledgeable, and genuine the team were, and I’ll happily go back to Mannys Sydney for future music purchases.
